The refurbished stables and coach house are a lovely setting and the cakes looked great. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately they expect you to pay £1 extra for milk alternatives (unless served as a 'side' in tea or an americano). Surely this is a world record! Cream ad marshmallows was only 60p extra. People shouldn't be penalised for pursuing a plant-based diet or having food intolerances.

Sadly a disappointing experience. Staff were lovely and welcoming. We pre-ordered an afternoon tea as a treat. Sandwiches & coffee were good. Cakes I believe bought in rather than homemade. Scones were horrendous and returned, swapped out for “large ones” from the counter, sadly still bad. Awfully dry, not warmed and weirdly lemony? Think they may have been overworked. Coffee and cake from the counter next time.

This was our first time visiting Staunton Park & the Tea Rooms. It’s such a pretty location & we loved the use of the old Coach House. The staff at the Tea Rooms were really friendly & welcoming & we ordered one cream tea & an extra americano. The lady who served us warned us that whilst the scones were freshly cooked that day they were extremely ’crumbly’ & said it was probably due to their size. However, when we started to eat our scone it was patently obvious they weren’t freshly cooked that day. It fell to pieces because it was so dry. I suspect they may have been frozen & defrosted that day which can make scones crumble. On top of that the coffee was undrinkable. I’ve honestly had better instant coffee at home. I feel sad to have to write this review as the team there were lovely & the location was gorgeous. We were going to stop for coffee at our usual spot in Rowlands Castle but thought we’d give a different business our custom. I wish we’d stuck to that idea as the Tea Rooms was sadly disappointing.

We had afternoon tea here for my birthday. There was a good variety in the sandwiches and cakes plus the Earl Grey scones were delicious. The service was very good and the team provided us with water as soon as we arrived. The Tea Rooms are based in what was the old stables and they have retained all the features which was a lovely touch. The Tea Rooms are part of a community project and profits made go towards the provision of meals etc. for children in the local schools.

This place is an absolute hidden gem. The staff are so friendly and attentive and the afternoon tea we had was superb. The coach house itself is aLao lovely. Everything was so fresh and delicious and so much we ended up taking some home. My favourite was the homemade bourbon biscuits- delicious! Thank you

This is the best cafe in Petersfield for service, freshly made food and cleanliness. Parish is front of house and his wife Janita does the cooking ably helped by young waiters and waitresses. I have been to most cafes in Petersfield but this is the best by far.

I came here to do the Christmas Market, and Laura was very accommodating, and bringing us drinks to keep us warm! It's a fabulous little cafe inside, and also sells local products, which I think is brilliant.

I arrived in the cafe in my usual happy manner. The lady who was guarding the till asked what I wanted, no hello good morning or smile. I asked for a large capacino extra hot and extra wet. The woman said chocolate on top? I said only if it's a pretty pattern. She replied we don't do pretty patterns here. I then said how about a nice heart shape. The woman replied we don't love anyone here either. What an awful woman. I guess she's the owner because of she had worked in one of my shops she would not have lasted long with the attitude. I turned to the girl standing next to me who also worked there and I said "blimey she's happy" the girl just smiled. What an atmosphere to work in. My friend who met me there wanted another drink but we decided to not give this venue anymore money so we had a lovely cup of tea in the very friendly welcoming pub just a, few steps away. Some people are made to work in retail and or with the public. Some people obviously are not.
