This cafe has lovely welcoming staff and sells cakes that are every bit as good as they look, with a beautiful light texture. The owners are also enterprising women who are developing cookery courses for children. I would definitely recommend this café and will be returning there myself.

Warm, friendly welcome, nice environment in one of the characterful old buildings in Alton. I had a large slice of delicious carrot cake, (I think it was gluten free), it was moist and really tasty, sometimes carrot cake can be disappointing, but not this one. There was a wide selection of cakes. They also serve light lunches. My mint tea was locally sourced and there were fresh flowers on the tables.

We had my daughters birthday party here recently and everyone had a fantastic time. The kids baked and decorated cupcakes and had some afternoon tea. The staff are great and organised everything including making the birthday cake which was delicious - would highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch with friends one Saturday. This is such a great, friendly place. The food was excellent, I had a soup and also a cheese scone which was delicious. My kids had sandwiches which they enjoyed and were very keen to try the cakes. There was a fantastic selection - we were lucky to be there not long after the apple cake had come out of the oven and it was fantastic. Thanks to all the team - we will be back.

I visited Bluebell whilst in Alton staying with family and my nephew, who is clearly already a fan kept talking about "Big Cake" before we got there. Well he wasn't wrong, they have a lovely Big Cake selection, including the classics such as lemon drizzle, Victoria sponge and a delicious looking chocolate cake (which my nephew swiftly demolished a slice of!), but also some more unusual options including apple cake, and blueberry and coconut. They even cater to various allergy requirements too. I can also personally vouch for the new York style chocolate chip cookies which were absolutely incredible and had a chocolate ratio that was generous without being overpowering. We also had some sandwiches, panini's and sausage rolls which were clearly made with super fresh ingredients. Thankyou Kirsty and Tracy, you know I will be back again next time!

Lovely new cafe in a building with character, and such a friendly welcome. Very good cream scones; coffee good, but filtered I think, rather than a barista machine, which would up the game here. Will definitely be back to this welcome addition to Alton.
