The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South East

Decided to nip into Starbucks whilst northbound on A34. Got food for all as well as drinks. Wanted to sit in. Order taken by one of the lads and we attempted to pay. It said we paid and then we waited for our stuff. A few mins later they advised us it hadn’t gone through and we’d need to pay again. We said it clearly went through as it said approved. They insisted it didnt and asked us to pay again. We asked for the decline receipt and he said there wasn’t one which we also disputed. As we couldn’t get our food and drink we did as asked and tried to pay again. This time it said it didn’t go through so we tried again. Again it looked as if it went through but they said it didnt. This time we stood our ground and said we wanted to see a decline receipt. They then gave us 2 receipts - one said decline, the other said an issue processing. The third receipt apparently hadn’t come out. We then paid again and apparently all successful. Having been perplexed and annoyed, a few days later we checked the bank statement to find they’d taken money from us multiple times. So each time we said we paid; we had. Now either it’s a scam they are running or their machine is on the blink. Needless to say, our bank are now going to be looking into it to get our money back as it’s very clear that they are the same transaction multiple times in a row but we shouldn’t have to do that. There were plenty of free tables and all looked comfy. None were clean. Clear but not clean. A guy however was seen to be sweeping the floor and wet floor sign were out. We had our stuff and then went to go to the toilet to find them closed. Baring in mind this is a Starbucks at a service area and we purchased from them to sit in, not having toilet facilities open is poor. The food we had however was really nice. Can’t complain about the actual products received at all. Although they did present them to us all over the place…food on one side of the counter with drinks the opposite end. None at the same time. And a lad that appeared to think he ran the show was being a bit of a not very nice person to other staff. Would we stop here again?! Absolutely not. It was the most expensive Starbucks I’ve ever visited after all those additional unnecessary transactions!!!

My daughter has had fun playing here. However have found them very hard to contact when trying to hire the space (no response to emails and phone mailbox is full).

Terrible service. Looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Monosyllabic, disinterested, annoyed at us. Food absolutely terrible. Our burger came in a dry bun with nothing else, no garnish or sauce and was too dry to eat. We will never be coming back.

Terrible service, after 10 minutes waiting in the queue we left. This is the 2nd time this has happened, the 2 staff do not even acknowledge that you are there let alone apologise for the wait!

I had a full English breakfast. The food was barely warm, they have not discovered how to grill and the oil they used was of poor quality. The toast had had a glancing look at a toaster and really was just buttered bread. I did complain and the staff simply said they will let the chef know. I did go also six months ago and had the same experience.

Estoy muy embarazada y sufro de una alergia y no pude evitar escuchar a las dos trabajadoras hablar sobre cómo accidentalmente habían lidiado con un alérgeno mal con una clienta que puede sufrir con anafilaxia. Debido a la audición excesiva esto se decide dejar para la seguridad de mí y mi bebé y no quería hacer un trato al respecto, solo sabía que comer allí podría no haber sido una buena idea para mí. Al salir la trabajadora gritó ‘gracias de todos modos supongo’ y su amiga se le unió riendo. Esto es inapropiado y no espero que me griten y se rían de mí como una mujer embarazada de 9 meses que simplemente decidió que podría no ser seguro para mí beber uno de sus batidos. Absolutamente horrorizado por este comportamiento. Esto sucedió a las 3. 20 el 20 de marzo en la sucursal de Oxford Westgate. Su personal no solo necesita capacitación en alérgenos, sino que también necesita algo de capacitación en servicio al cliente, ya que no espero que me griten y menosprecien. La tienda Oxford necesita reevaluar a su equipo.

We pitched up excited for breakfast. Six hungry people looking forward to a hot bacon or sausage bap. Oh how f*****g disappointed we were. On offer were the dregs of some cold bacon baps but the bread was hot and bacon cold (weird). When I asked the lady for three hot sausage baps she told me they weren’t cooking any and sent a man to look for some from the chiller. He decided to take other people and talk AT them about the sausage baps not being available. I tried to explain it was us that requested them but he just ignored me. On finally settling for some pastries (they were ok - nothing to write home about) the same man was at the till. He was so damn rude. Couldn’t understand what he was saying. Shooed me away from the till and when. I said I would pay for a friends food he told me in no uncertain terms “no you won’t” and then threw the crisps back at my friend. What an experience. My other friends said they would never come here either as the same man held their bacon bap hostage at the till and wouldn’t release it until they bought another packet of crisps. He then Scanned it all, refunded it all and rescanned it. What a bloomin joke!!!!

Not recommend. Looks like stuff sell drugs and full of prostitutes. Very expensive and wc is dirty.

My panini was cold when I took a bite. The cheese was solid and completely unmelted. Usually the sandwiches here are decent but this was not a very fun experience.

The cafe is a rip off. £3 for an ice cream that falls off the stick. Unhelpful staff who have not been trained. If I could zero stars I would.

Have eaten in the Kingsgrove Cafe a few times, food is pricey but worth it with good quality ingredients and a nice seating area, also good quality coffee. There are also lovely young ladies that normally serve us, however I had a shocking recent experience this week. Older gentleman with white hair (didn’t get a name - was scared to ask) was extremely rude, spoke to the nice young waitress horribly and used foul language. Considering I had a child with me and was met with a grunt and no apology when questioned - I will sadly never return while this man works here. Apologies to the lovely young lady for the bad service review - the man really lets your good work down.
