Decided to nip into Starbucks whilst northbound on A34. Got food for all as well as drinks. Wanted to sit in. Order taken by one of the lads and we attempted to pay. It said we paid and then we waited for our stuff. A few mins later they advised us it hadn’t gone through and we’d need to pay again. We said it clearly went through as it said approved. They insisted it didnt and asked us to pay again. We asked for the decline receipt and he said there wasn’t one which we also disputed. As we couldn’t get our food and drink we did as asked and tried to pay again. This time it said it didn’t go through so we tried again. Again it looked as if it went through but they said it didnt. This time we stood our ground and said we wanted to see a decline receipt. They then gave us 2 receipts - one said decline, the other said an issue processing. The third receipt apparently hadn’t come out. We then paid again and apparently all successful. Having been perplexed and annoyed, a few days later we checked the bank statement to find they’d taken money from us multiple times. So each time we said we paid; we had. Now either it’s a scam they are running or their machine is on the blink. Needless to say, our bank are now going to be looking into it to get our money back as it’s very clear that they are the same transaction multiple times in a row but we shouldn’t have to do that. There were plenty of free tables and all looked comfy. None were clean. Clear but not clean. A guy however was seen to be sweeping the floor and wet floor sign were out. We had our stuff and then went to go to the toilet to find them closed. Baring in mind this is a Starbucks at a service area and we purchased from them to sit in, not having toilet facilities open is poor. The food we had however was really nice. Can’t complain about the actual products received at all. Although they did present them to us all over the place…food on one side of the counter with drinks the opposite end. None at the same time. And a lad that appeared to think he ran the show was being a bit of a not very nice person to other staff. Would we stop here again?! Absolutely not. It was the most expensive Starbucks I’ve ever visited after all those additional unnecessary transactions!!!

Went in for coffee mid morning. Looked good at first with clear signs and a one way system. Once in however every table we looked at was covered in crumbs or left over cups etc. Clearly they’re not cleaning after each customer. We sat for a good 20 minutes and during our stop nobody cleaned any tables! The floor was also disgusting. If they can’t clean the tables what’s the kitchen area like?

Miserable staff , warm (not hot) drinks NO toilet paper or hand towels in the ladies and a real mess Gents absolutely STINKS - urine and water on floor and so dark it’s hard to see this place is an absolute JOKE

This grubby coffee shop needs a good wash and brush up. Staff do their best to cope with the queue but this is not the place for a relaxing pit stop. Never again!

This has become a regular meeting place for my sister and I as it's us half way between our houses. Always good coffee and a great service considering this is a busy branch of Starbucks. This morning a notice on the door advised that they would be honouring a 2 minutes silence for remembrance day. At 10.45 a lovely lady came to remind us again and at 11am on the dot silence prevailed. Why do I mention this you ask? Well not everyone remembers those that died in the great wars due to busy lives or exceptional circumstances so for a busy company who have a lot of customers to please it was a welcomed gesture. Well done staff at this Starbucks

This Starbucks is a former little chef that has been converted. The cafe is large and roomy with plenty of space to have meetings or a chill out whale making your way up the A34 I have stopped at this branch of Starbucks 3 or 4 times now. The large spacious environment attracts me but the service has been lacking every time. On this visit i queued with a number of other people for my order. I had to give the order to the member of staff 3 time. I am a Starbucks Gold member so am very familiar with the menu. I ordered a coffee and a cake. The cake was placed in a paper bag which the cake then stuck to and was difficult to eat. I provided my own cup as per the companies green promotion. I asked not unreasonably to wash the cup as it had previously had anther drink in it. This seemed a difficult concept for the member of staff to understand. Coffee was slow to arrive at the collection point. On arrival I checked the drink and found the cup was half to three quarters foam. I asked the barista to correct this. He answer was to poor out some of the foam and add more milk. For a number of years Starbucks have had a policy of making the drink again if its not right. On a challenge the drink was re-made. This new drink also did not tasted as good as I normally expect. I was disappoint that the place was covered in used cups and wrappers. I this is not something i normally see in Starbucks branches. Summery - Staff would not listen to the order - Venue was no clean and tidy - Quality of the drink was poor, and incorrect the first time. - The toilets are frequently dirty. - So much promise but no execution

Went in for a coffee and a slice of cake after a long journey and after waiting 15 minutes for the order to be taken we then had another 15-20 minutes to get our order which was then called out and more or less thrown on the counter and the cake (which was over £2 )was chucked in a brown paper bag even though we were eating/drinking inside the cafe The place itself was messy and the toilets were dirty and one of the two toilets in the ladies out of order and the gents was disgusting toilet paper on the floor and food o the floor And the place wasn’t busy so it could have been kept clean and tidy And the service could have been better along with maybe a smile from the staff! Very disappointed but saying that the coffee and cake itself were yummy

The toilets are filthy. I should have waited until after I’d placed my order because I lost my appetite. No loo roll was irritating but also it was so dirty. And it was definitely accumulated not recent mess which can sometimes be excused because they’re busy! Stock was dusty. Counter & trays were dirty. And I had to wait to be served because staff were having a chat at the back (side area out of sight). They saw me taking a photo and didn’t come over. Shouts that they just don’t care!

Stopped off for a coffee and something to eat. Rather than go into the garage we thought we go into the Starbucks. The man who served us had no more than yes and no too say. No good morning.. no smile.. it seemed he was put out to be working there and serving us. The person making the coffee wasn't any more friendly either. No it wasn't busy. Our drinks were half full of froth and rest liquid. A disappointing visit.

Probably the worst Starbucks in the world! Slowest service I’ve ever watched - this with 3 members of staff - although in fairness one was clever enough to have a clean and then a break whilst watching the queue grow to outside in the rain. The manager was sat on a computer watching it all too. Incredible!

This is a relatively new Starbucks which could be a ‘goldmine’ but no, the toilets are a disgrace and the 2 members of staff were indifferent and miserable. Tables and chairs had not been cleaned and were littered with food and packaging debris. Can only describe this outlet as a disgrace for a company of this stature

I have stopped here several times while on business and as such, it’s served it’s purpose, (just about), however the contemporary music that is blasted onto the patio area is very intrusive. Today I have visited with my lady on our way home from a weekend out and endured the worst experience ever at a Starbucks outlet. Howard Shultz says the UK is a very hard place to make money. If the big boss stopped here, one of his coffee shops, he may begin to understand why. Front of house was unwelcoming, rude, unprofessional and off putting. He was one of a team of three and named Joe. The male barista had far too casual an attitude which was an air given off by the whole team as we entered. The female staff member at least managed to rescue the ‘melted butter’ incident and tell Joe to take them from the fridge (obvious really on a hot day). We are quite easy going types really and can accept when things are busy but there was no justification for the way our custom was handled. We will not return.

We have stopped at this place many times over the years on our way to visit relatives in the Midlands. It used to be really good when it was under the umbrella of The Little Chef but sadly times have changed and the establishment is now Starbucks. We have stopped there 4 times so far this year and each time our experience has got worse. The prices are quite high for the quality of food and drink provided. Our last stop here on 27th June was a disaster. The Coffee was so weak it was just like coloured hot water, there was no milk in the two jugs which you were supposed to serve yourself to, and when I politely mentioned this I was practically thrown a carton of milk. The two hot chocolates were not much better, and could hardly justify being called hot chocolate. In fact non of us could drink what was served to us so it was a complete waste of money, or maybe I should I say an expensive visit to the loo.

Lovely service and products, plus a table with a view! Delicious prawn sandwich and flat white, lovely service staff, from start to finish, would definitely recommend.

No vege baps left at 10am so couldn't have bap and drink deal for£5-99, asked if I could have vege toastie instead same deal at lunch from 11 , and told no ,I think a little cater for the customer would do them a lot of good especially as it looked like they can't get stock levels right , probably thr mass of meat baps will.be thrown away
