Have to say this was the best coffee place I’ve experienced in Manchester on my trip. Beautiful latte, nice toastie and muffins and served with a smile. Also very very reasonably priced too. An absolute gem of a place to relax and enjoy fantastic coffee.

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.

Right in the heart of manchester, near the university. A little dark, although in keeping the area its in. A calming, friendly atmosphere. Bustling with students. Would come again

Bar tender served me, placed my drink half on a beer mat so it tipped and spilled onto the floor. Honest mistake, but bar staff REFUSED TO MAKE A NEW ONE. This has never happened to me at any other bar. I insisted on speaking to a manager and everyone didn’t know where they were. After asking the third person, a bald man who had been next to me the whole time started threatening to kick me out. I had to ask who he was before he said he was the landlord. He then said “I tell you what mate, buy a new drink and then DM me on Instagram tomorrow and I’ll send it you”… hahahaha are you serious? He then got bouncers to kick me out because I seen straight through his ridiculous suggestion.. Go somewhere else that actually values their customers.

I have always had a good experience at cafe Nero but my recent visit disappointed me a lot. I ordered tro caramel latte and 1 almond croissant and 1 pain au chocolat. To start with, they didnot have whole milk which is very frustrating. A cafe not having whole milk but all other options is such a disappointment. Secondly their almond croissant tastes awful. The size is small for the price but not worth it. it was cold not double baked and the filling tastes so synthetic like some essence has been used instead of the real almond cream filling. Not cool cafe Nero. 👎👎Awful experience to start my day.

Not happy at all went to go and grab a butty on my dinner, as I was being served by a lady she looked like she was full of a cold and well making my butty she touches her nose with the gloves on and didn't even change them afterwards and instead carried on making my butty I wasn't impressed not very hygienic

The cafe is located in the House of Fraser, a long-established department store. It’s a good place to take a rest.

Came here with a group of friends, the tearooms are beautifully decorated and offer a good selection of food, which are quite expensive but in line with other Manchester venues. I was a bit disappointed however, as a member of my party had phoned up two days before the booking to explain that I’d been poorly and didn’t have much of an appetite. We asked if I could cancel my afternoon tea order and just order tea and cake on the day. They assured her on the phone that would be fine. It was quite a large group attending so it wasn’t like they were missing out on much money. Unfortunately when it came to ordering on the day, they said this wasn’t possible and I’d have to have the afternoon tea anyway, as chef had already prepared it. I didn’t have the energy to argue, but it did upset me and it felt like a complete waste of money. When it came to ordering the bill, I was the first in the group to ask. After 20 mins, it hadn’t arrived so I went to ask, explained I was in a rush and the waiter apologised and said he’d be right over. He came back several minutes later and started giving everyone else their bills first. I saw him take several other people’s payments so I decided to go over to him, remind him that I was in a rush, which was why I’d asked for my bill 30 mins before. I asked if he could settle mine next, which he thankfully did. It just seemed a little unprofessional to me and again, I was made to feel like I was being difficult, when I don’t think I was. I wish I’d been a bit more assertive on both occasions but unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t have the energy to stick up for myself. I also think it’s bad that in a large group booking, each person is charged a service charge. The service was slow and I felt let down by it on two occasions.
