Atlas Bar in Manchester

Went on derby day so naturally it was bouncing MUFC with friendly door staff (which you don't say often in life) However I can imagine without football it's not great as it's small and limited inside With all the choice around I wouldn't bother non United match days.... on match days it's good so go then Reds

Amazing bottomless brunch, Holli was so friendly and attentive. We were never without a drink. We will be back!

Visited here twice for brunch. Good choice of food and in both days the food was hot and tasty. Bar was busy at the weekend, but service was quick and the staff were friendly Reasonable prices for Manchester. Not sure what it would be like just as a bar at night but certainly for a bite to eat I’d recommend it. Clean and bright.

Very nice to have a coffee or good beer. The covered terrace has radiators which keeps you warm at all times to protect you from the cold. Affordable prices

I came to Manchester to visit the university and had seen Atlas Bar online. I wanted to visit because it looked really cute but it completely surpassed my expectations. The bartender, Naomi, was extremely knowledgeable about gin. I believe she said Atlas carries around 580 different types of gin. My mom did not think she liked gin at all but Naomi helped her sample a few different ones until she found a couple that she really likes and wants to try at home now! Not only did Naomi offer a lot of information about gin, she also was very kind and friendly to us and told us about life in Manchester. We felt very taken care of by Naomi and Natalie who were both lovely and were lucky enough to have a seat on the back patio, which was very comfortable with the heaters despite the cold weather outside. We had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Manchester.

Came in with a mate for a couple drinks having not been in town for a while, I said I'd pick us a good bar & as per past experiences Atlas nailed it. That "secret terrace" out back never gets old. An oasis in the heart of Manchester, with the odd rumble of trains above! Nice and chill, very attentive and friendly staff. I had an expertly made Negroni (I'm very picky!) and later had Atlas's in-house Gin, one of a few recommended by the bar tender. She was very knowledgable, friendly and definitely picked out the right one for me, even if it was 51% proof! That was just one of a good few I'd like to try, will sure be back! -George :)

Edit to add: Atlas Bar's unprofessional and unaccountable response to my genuine review has cemented that I'll never go back. Very unfortunate. How are they supposed to see tone of voice and facial smirks from CCTV? They are family run, they know the person I'm complaining about so they instinctively take an opposition to me - and blame me for not raising issue with management. It shouldn't be on the customer to keep management appraised of problems. Had I wanted to raise an issue I could have done so directly with the individual I'm complaining about but I wasn't there to manage their bar. Instead of seeing this review as "damaging", to them, tunnel vision on their own ego, I wish they'd seen the negative experience being reported and made any attempt to put it right. Original review: Used to always love coming in here for a drink. Went in last night (Sunday 23/2/25) about 8pm and the blonde behind the bar was absolutely seething with rage. Either at me or at her own life and her own journey through this world who knows. Did my best British politeness with minimal interactions but she didn't warm up one ioata. Whiskey was good, food was great, just the atmosphere was brought down from the usual Atlas Bar experience and service would have been better from a robot. Overall just unfortunate.

A contemporary style bar and cafe between Deansgate station and the Metro stop. Just had a bacon butty and coffee, but both great with friendly service.

Un grupo de nosotros llamó aquí un sábado a la hora del almuerzo y se lo pasó muy bien. Está literalmente a 20 segundos a pie de la estación de tren de Deansgate, así que muy bien posicionado y tiene mucho a su favor. Nuestra bienvenida fue cálida y todos nos sirvieron muy rápido. Hay un bonito jardín de cerveza fuera, pero esto era febrero, así que decidimos quedarnos dentro y fue genial. El lugar tiene un ambiente encantador y el personal era amable y educado. Tienen una buena gama de cervezas y vinos disponibles a precios bastante típicos del centro de la ciudad. Los murales de Manchester en la pared son geniales para ver y el ambiente es relajado y de espaldas.

Popped in here to line our stomachs before drinking the day away. The breakfast was massive and gorgeous. The baby Guinness was fab as normal. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. This is definitely our go to bar every time we are in town

Good offers, cheap prices, beautiful decor and excellent service. What more could you ask for? I loved my long conversation with the bartender, he seemed really engaged which is amazing and poured me a bottle that he had never poured before and that was delicious. Kinda looked like O’Shea Jackson

Me and my colleagues have enjoyed atlas for months since we relocated our office to round the corner,since doing so our Christmas night out a couple of us recommended atlas to be our prime designated place for our annual event! We could not be happier with the services provided by everyone on shift on the 19th December, I have asked for a list specifically and the names include, Seb, Megan, Simon, Kane, Ella, Natalie B and Rosie. What a great team who support each other and provide an amazing environment. Simon is stand out staff member for the night for me but the whole team are incredible

I’ve lived just around the corner from Atlas for the past five years, but it wasn’t until a couple of months ago that I realised what I’d been missing. Every time I step inside, I’m greeted by such a warm and positive atmosphere from the staff — even the friendly man at the door on weekends. A special shoutout to the manager, who calls everyone “Darl” (I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten your name, but you know who you are — cool Christmas earrings). It’s rare to find a place where someone remembers your name after just your second takeaway, but you not only remembered mine, you even noticed I forgot my coffee last time. That level of personal service feels like a lost art, especially in such a busy spot like Atlas. Despite how hard the staff are working, they always find the time to greet you with a kind, genuine smile. The team does an incredible job, and that’s even before we talk about the food. I usually order takeaway, and it’s consistently on time, perfectly hot, and absolutely delicious every time. If you haven’t tried Atlas yet, I can’t recommend it enough. You’ll be supporting a fantastic local business with amazing people who put their heart into what they do every single day. Give it a try — you won’t regret it!

The chicken burger is delicious and the fries are homemade. We found it after taking the train at the Manchester Oxford stop and we loved it

This is our first visit to this bar for a little while and we were very impressed indeed. It has been modernised since we last there and they've made a really good job of it without a doubt. It is located in the shadow of Deansgate station meaning you can go in before or after your train if you have time. You won't be disappointed. They do a wide range of drinks at decent city centre prices and there's a lot of choice. The service was fast and friendly and we had a good laugh with the bar staff who were very engaging. The bar itself has a lot to offer. It has low lighting which creates a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere and it's nice to sit inside. It's also really nice too Sit out at the back under the heaters and take in the breathtaking views of the new skyscrapers which are you dropping.

Just popped in for a couple of drinks after a meal out and it was very busy. Great atmosphere and funny friendly door staff. The bar staff were trying their best but it was very busy so there was quite a wait. Very friendly once we got served.

Called in for drinks after a meal elsewhere. Doorman was really friendly, welcomed us and opened the door. Bar was very busy. Two or three people deep and no order at all, several people were served before me including a chap who was behind me, he seemed to know the staff member which is t on. Drinks were reasonably priced for Manchester and the atmosphere was spot on.

Lovely little bar right next to Deansgate train station. My only criticism is where the toilets are, up a flight of steep stairs. I'm not disabled but I do have a dodgy hip, didn't like to ask if they had an easier to access loo.

If you are close by and in need of some food then please try Atlas out. The service here is amazing with the food to match. This place uses local sourced food supporting the community and has plenty of options to choose from meaning they should have something for everyone and are very accommodating to allergies as well as slight modifications to the food. I love this place and will never stop going ❤️

We recently held a work event at Atlas bar and the venue and staff were amazing. We have hired out the terrace area which despite being September is still the perfect area with lots of heaters and under covers. Was lovely and warm with lots of space which was great as we had over 100 people at our event. The food was also amazing. We ordered a mixture of food and the staff just kept bringing this out and circulating the same. However, the staff were the highlight of the night. They went above and beyond and nothing was too much for them. They kept in constant communication with us leading up to the event and also on the night. We had a tab behind the bar and the staff provided us with a stamp so select members of staff was able to use the tab which was great. Even until the very end of the night the staff all had a smile on their faces and so friendly and helpful. We held the same event last year and that was again an amazing night. The event was that much of a success we have already asked to book it again for next year. We can’t wait to come back!

It's surprisingly nice! I have walked past this place most days and thought it was a fancy restaurant that was open in the evening and you probably need to book and pay a fortune. One rainy afternoon we popped in mainly because it was dry and on the way to the station. It opens out into a wonderful open much larger space with a garden balcony. The service is at your table with friendly waiters interested in what you are doing and eating and reasonably priced food. My avocado salad was amazing and I never enjoy salad so that's saying something. The lunchtime atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Will definitely be back and if you haven't been you really should go. Even if you aren't eating they have a really good drinks selection.

Me and my husband had a long awaited day/night out on Friday to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We started our day in Atlas bar and so glad we went there first! There was a great atmosphere and the gin paddle boards were amazing. What made it so special though was the service! Naomi was truly fantastic, her knowledge of the gins was fascinating and truly made it a day to remember. Really enjoyed our "Gin Wag" too! Thank you for starting our day in the most perfect way!

Brilliant atmosphere, although on my visit the weather was hot. I sat out in the sun and topped up my tan. The only gripe I had was the drinks were, to me anyway very expensive. But I will visit again soon

Went here for a friend’s bottomless brunch and they didn’t disappoint. Considering there were 10 of us at this brunch they didn’t falter on any drink orders. Most of us left decently inebriated. Food was good, though nothing to shout about. Service and cocktails were top notch and I couldn’t believe it was only £35 each.

Called at the Atlas Bar for a late night G&T to try their paddle boards as we had heard about the many gins the bar had but never visited. My husband and I both had Masons boards which had Original, Pear & Pink Peppercorn, Orange & Lime Leaf gins and a tonic. They were excellent value for money and the gins were tasty. The bar was busy on a Saturday evening but we found a table outside and the bar had a good vibe. Will return next time in Manchester!

Lovely quiet Monday evening watching Manchester go by at the busy crossroads with The Hilton towering over us. Great cocktails and a good choice of beers.

My son and I needed to kill some time and thought this looked like a nice place from the outside, even better on the inside and we were lucky with the weather so sat outside where there is a gorgeous outside seating area, lovely atmosphere and music was just perfect for a summers days. The bar is out of this world with so much to offer and the Gin selection is amazing. I was served by Naomi and she was so friendly and helpful. She asked me what gins I liked, I couldn’t decide so she suggested the Paddleboard of 3 different single shot gins with tonic so I could try different flavours. We had such a lovely afternoon, the gins she suggested were perfect and this will be a regular place to visit when we are in the city. Thank you Naomi for your lovely conversation and advice, it was a pleasure. And thanks to the gins I went to Selfridges and bought a very expensive pair of sunglasses, no regrets 🤪

As I sit here, wiping the final remnants of the most amazing breakfast from the corner of my mouth, I thought it worthy to put a review on for this wonderful place. Extremely tasty breakfast (whatever they did with the tomatoes... I will one day hunt down for myself!), super friendly service and lovely chilled Thursday morning vibe. Looking forward to my next visit when I am in Manchester next!

Great bar with so many gins to choose from. And they serve the best cider - inches! The beer garden is a hidden gem on a sunny day.
