Visited with my husband for breakfast before a nice walk along the river. Good quality coffee locally sourced. My husband really enjoyed the eggs royale and I had a delicious bacon sandwich. Really good quality food and very well prepared. We have visited here many times and will continue to do so! The people who work here are always very friendly and welcoming.

Another visit to the Larder and it remains a great choice. Enjoyed thick, wholesome homemade soups (mushroom and tarragon, tomato and red pesto), served with warm savoury cheese scones. The latter so light and full of flavour, such as treat. It’s a busy place and the furniture/seating is basic but the prompt and friendly service gives a good atmosphere. The shop seemed to be offering fewer gourmet foods and much more packaged goods but still interesting. Worth a visit.

It was my first time here. The service was ok, but the food was not great: my rum caramelised pork belly was way overcooked, burned. Apple tart was undercooked and cold. Other had burgers (cheese was burned), mixed grill meat was dry and overcooked.

My wife and I stayed one night at The Dyvels in September 2024 while exploring Hadrians Wall on our way back to York. We were both really pleasantly surprised by how charming the Inn is. Corbridge is a lovely little town with, obviously, ancient history. None of that charm has been lost gladly. Dyvels is a small cozy pub with 5 lodging rooms and a tranquil garden, but the best part was the food which was WAY better than a small pub in a small Northumbrian town has any business being. We had dinner, fish n chips for me, and a chicken dish for Mrs M. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, but with such incredible flavour. It was bone fide fancy restaurant quality, not pub grub. Full Northumbrian breakfast next morning was huge, tasty and set us up proper for a long drive. It was a really quiet Wednesday when we were there. No other lodging guests and a small handful of locals in the pub, so service was super quick. It was really quiet and relaxing, enjoying the fresh air dining out in the garden. Had a little chat with the bar staff. Very friendly, but not particularly talkative; shame as I always like to chat with locals when travelling to get a sense of life in another part of the world. Our room was really spacious and comfortable. Slept really well in the big soft bed with loads of pillows. Window opened over the garden and sports fields beyond, so a really pretty view. Bathroom was clean and everything worked. Lots of plugs to recharge our devices. For the price it was really good. Overall I'm really glad we chose to stop at Dyvels Inn and Corbridge. It's a fantastic little corner of our brilliant little island. I'd love to spend more time here. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys history, good food, fresh air and the tranquility of wide open spaces.

Very disappointing new restaurant when the old one was so good. I ordered salmon fish cake with poached egg and creamed spinach and fries. Fries were lukewarm warm to tepid and I left most of them. Poached egg was hard and cold and I doubt the creamed spinach had seen any cream as the sauce tasted of flour and nothing else. Very little seasoning on/in anything. Coffee was ok and service not too bad.

Appalling service, takes at least 20 minutes to get your drinks as staff prioritise drive through customers. Staff have no customer care skills and are on a go slow. Avoid the place!
