Starbucks in Northumberland

Service, lunch and coffee were ok - dirty and littered tables everywhere and the only clear table where we sat was dirty. We got a parking ticket for staying too long - neither myself or my friend will be back! Very disappointed!

Just been here for coffee and toastie. Coffee was ok but toasties are terrible and just chucked at us in a bag. No plate available. No knife to cut it in half. Table was filthy. Also the place was freezing cold. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of the product and level of service offered. Not going back.

Grumpy staff, no welcome, no smile or service. Ignored my requests to wait before preping my hot food as I needed to visit bathroom first. Got back to counter and my sandwich was sat where everyone picks up coffee, going cold and uncovered. The single ladies toilet was blocked with water on floor. Potential slip hazard. Tried thr disabled which was also in a mess. I reported and saw one of the staff go take a look a short while later. Came back to the tills immediately and started serving. I spent 11 40 for a barely filled cold sandwich and a coffee! Had staff been a little more pleasant i would not be writing this bad review. As a local i will be voting with my feet and not come back.

If you want something savoury to eat without cheese then avoid this place like the plague. No sausage or bacon rolls and everything else has cheese with it. Asked the assistant if there was anything without cheese and was told by him (a big guy) that’s all we have. He had a bad attitude, definitely not welcoming. This place also needs a deep cleaning. Been here a few time and it’s always the same.

Great coffee and Lemon and Poppy Seed Muffin Zara served me again and it was a yummy Almond milk latte, extra shot in my own mug. On Zara's recommendations I treated myself to a Poppy Seed Muffin. Zara was happy and couldn't do enough to make my coffee exactly how I liked it. Starbucks was very busy due to the Armistice day memorial in Hexham, but still quality was not effected.

Always quiet in here and a large space with loads of seats and plenty of parking with disabled right outside. Selections are limited for food. Lots of sandwiches but mainly cheese or chicken based and if ur vegan very poor. Four flavour crisps eggy bite things and a few odd cakes. More drink selection. Three members of staff. Only one young lad serving. He was pleasant enough but her slow. The other two we’re standing chatting. There were about five ppl on tables. So far from busy yet there were empty cups and plates on a lot of them. And the tables were sticky with half eaten food. We opted for a vegan breakfast wrap with a bag of crisps , almond cappuccino and an americano. Took a long time to do but the young lad was on his own. Sat down at a sticky table. Cappuccino was far too strong and bitter. Coffee was average. Crisps were nice. For the wrap it was lukewarm with soggy spinach bread thibg. Got a wooden fork which broke when trying to cut end off wrap. Not impressed with filling. It was meant to be tofu and sausage. It was a bit like hunt the sausage. Had to smother it with sauce as had no taste. Shame. Won’t be back. Toilets clean tho !! Expensive too

This spot is great for a calm study space and a chat. It is clean and tidy. Drinks are always made to perfection. Quick service and friendly staff.

Went in here yesterday with my disabled wife, had a almond flat white and a cappuccino, coffee’s could only be described as we’ll below par. Half way through my wife decided to go to the loo. Where we found there to be no toilet paper, asked at counter off paper could be restocked to which I was informed we have none the order has not come in. I then asked what’s my wife supposed to do to which I got a shrug of the shoulders and a gormless look. This is a store in the euro garage franchise ownership it even has partner garage next door with a Spar shop. No staff willing to go above and beyond God knows what the staff used in a shift I hope none had to go for a Number 2

Pit stop as wanted drinks and the loo. Wanted hot wet lattes and got just that. Often you get warm coffees even if you ask for hot and as we were moving on, we wanted the drinks to last a bit longer.

A firm favourite of mine! Excellent cheerful service , great coffee! Noticed other reviewers state slow service because of drive thru, I call here most days and rarely find this is the case. Easily the best chain coffee shop in the area!

Staff concentrated on drive through waited ages then staff couldn’t get order right couldn’t make a coffee I ordered I thought staff were trained then had to sit by rubbish piled high in seating area outside won’t be coming back until they sort out their customer values le

First time coming here in years because it's always been awful and it's definitely the last. Met some of my family who had already ordered food and it was very clear the staff had cooked some of their order, then prioritised the drive-thru before finishing, so by the time my parents had finished their lunch my sister still hadn't even got hers yet. I then paid 8.30 for a panini, a drink and some crisps which is ridiculous itself, but it took ages for the panini to come and I noticed nothing was in the oven so I went to ask about it and they'd given it to someone else. It was the last one so I just asked for my money back. They then tried saying they hadn't actually charged me for it. Initially I thought they'd yet again prioritised the drive-thru and given my panini to someone in a car but later I saw one of the rude members of staff eating something that looked just like what I ordered so I think she literally nicked my food. I was clearly annoyed with the situation and the staff couldn't have cared less. All the staff in this place are basically still kids and it shows, they're utterly useless.

Called in for a pit stop on the way home only to be met by a large queue. Two people working behind the counter and one of them (a young girl) decided to check her phone and drink her own coffee whilst telling her colleague that she was sick of making coffee and sniggering. Then she went on to make other people’s coffee after me and made me wait longer. Not ideal when you’ve been travelling with two children. Absolutely disgusting customer service and in my opinion she needs a course in customer service. She was rude and obnoxious and needs to work in a job with no customers. We will Never be returning

I visit lots of Starbucks and go several times a week and this one is by far the best. There’s never a long wait here and the service is excellent with great staff! The best decaf mocha I’ve had 😃

Great coffee,I'm a regular visitor but very, very, very slow service, with a bit of attitude. Priority given to drive-thru. Only wanted an americana was first in line waited 16 minutes inside during covid lockdown, would have thought they would want me off site as soon as possible. Head office needs to give this branch a kick up the butt!

Obviously we are going through a global pandemic at the moment. Went to Starbucks to refuel after a long walk. I expected a limited menu, what I didn’t expect is the staff to flaunt the rules about wearing masks. Two staff members, had one hanging off her face, the other didn’t even wear one. The government doesn’t give guidelines for your staff to ignore, very disappointed experience.

Floors, tables and chairs hadn’t been cleaned although the staff stood around chatting. First time here and it would put me off returning.

Food and coffee good as usual, service good as usual. Tables and floor dirty as usual, a shame as usual.

Easily accessed from A69. Friendly service, spacious cafe. Wi-fi and charging points. Adjacent to garage. Convenient stop on way into, or when passing, Hexham.

Quick Pit stop for coffee on the way to work . Latte and hit chocolate pity one of us spilt it all Over our top . Will call again but hopefully not spill it next time . Always a good coffee

The drinks at Starbucks are always fabulous!! The paninis are always a go to meal for us !!! The staff as always so friendly and helpful!

Called in for lunch today - it wasn’t busy and I can see why! Sandwiches didn’t have enough filling, and the coffee was only just hot enough. Overall impression was it wasn’t very clean or tidy. No toilet paper in the ladies loo. Staff - albeit not serving - standing behind the counter on their phones. Nothing to encourage a return visit!

Saturday morning. No queue. 2 customers. 8 dirty tables with cups on and staff stood doing nothing. Can't stand it when staff are too poor quality to not immediately clear tables when there is nothing else to do.

For some reason they think the best way to serve a toastie is to cook it then place it on top of a napkin on a plate. So the napkin sticks to the sandwich and is hard to get off without destroying it. Come on guys, it's not hard.

Starbucks just off the bridge end roundabout in Hexham is quite massive. It has a drive through if you are interested in that.It's usually nice and quiet, but I can imagine that it would be horrendously noisy if full.We visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy but looked like a bomb had hit it. There were quite a few tables which hadn't been cleaned up or cleared.This Starbucks doesn't ask you for your name for your drink pick up which is good safeguarding.There are lots of plugs and USB charging points everywhere which is excellent to see and so practical.If you have time to kill, have a nice drink and charge your electrics then this is the place to go!

Walked along with a colleague for coffee and cake, very dissapointing. A lot of the tables had not been cleared and cleaned and there was very little choice of cake and biscuits. The staff although very friendly did not appear to utilise there time to clear tables. Not the best but it is convenient to where I work.

Starbucks has always been an absolute rip off but this has to be the worst one thanks to unbelievably lazy staff. Whenever you go in here there are loads of tables that haven't been cleared, regardless of how busy or quiet it is. On this occasion in particular there were approximately 5 tables in use, 20 with dirty cups and rubbish on them that needed clearing, no customers being served or waiting to be, and 3 staff members just stood behind the counter chatting. Have never spent a penny of my own money in a Starbucks and I never will. Especially not this one.
