Called in today to buy some coffee beans and was charged £16 for 250g of Monmouth espresso. That’s about the same as Monmouth themselves charge for 500g (they charge £16.50 for 500g or £8.25 for 250g). I’d already paid before I noticed the size of the bag, and when I asked the server I was told (quite dismissively) that it was the right price. I didn’t make a fuss because I should have checked before paying. However, either I was overcharged or the mark-up is outrageous.

The employees working there were lovely people however the managers were rude and dismissive. The coffee was watery and the food was cold and bland. Overall, not a good experience and i would not go again.

We had a really disappointing experience here, having returned on the back of a great night a few years ago. Although the food was still tasty enough, the service was dreadful on this occasion. There were only 3 other tables with diners on while we were there (while other restaurants close by were rammed), and yet it took an age for our food to arrive. After a slight altercation over some wine that one of our party wanted to return (it tasted corked, but we hadn't seen it poured, the waiter refused to accept there was anything wrong with it) we were all without drinks while waiting for the food. Half the table was served food, with the rest following at least 5 minutes after, one dish without a final element for another 10 minutes, and drinks, which had to be requested when the second half of the food turned up, following a bit after that. Once finished, we had to go to some lengths to ask for the bill, chase it up, and our plates still hadn't been cleared by the time we left. They charged 12.5% service.

A lovely lunch firstly Sharing a Bill’s platter which was beautifully presented and tasty. My daughter and I both had steak which was cooked as we had asked. Vegetables were ordered separately which made it more expensive than it initially looked but all well cooked and presented. My husband had he pan fried chicken with wild mushroom sauce which was again well presented and tasty. The fact that Bill’s give a discount for BlueLightCard was an added bonus to a lovely meal - we were too full to sample desserts!

This shop was such a great experience! My family was in London on holiday and wanted the Abbey Road experience. The gentleman working there was so nice and friendly and they had a nice selection of Beatles souvenirs at very reasonable prices! Plus, you can get a cup of coffee to fuel your adventures. Don't miss this gem!

Under staffed, food took over an hour and was terrible, some of my friends food never arrived. TVs have a lag and the colour is off. And the waiter tried to start a fight with my friend. Avoid at all costs.

On Saturdays I’ve often passed by Al Gusto’s outside terrace on Battersea’s popular Northcote Road wrongly assuming from the hearing plates of combinations of eggs bacon salmon and avocado that this was yet another exclusive brunch venue. I was therefore pleasantly surprised on visiting its cosy interior one weekday to discover how much more was on offer including a lunch and dinner menu ranging across such starters as baked chilli and garlic prawns, halloumi dips, mixed antipasti thence to a range of pizza and pastas, mussels, fish and steak as mains. I was so impressed by a seafood linguini that I brought my wife the following Saturday when we were not disappointed by burrata with vine tomatoes followed by pan fried salmon with zucchini and a superbly creamy scallop risotto. We will definitely be back.
