Lovely pub in a heart of Leyton. Unique menu: delicious pizza, local seafood and snacks. Good selection of beer. Cozy beer garden - family and dogs friendly. We love to go there with family for a few drinks and meal or sometimes to celebrate an occasion.

Great experience in the bar, our server becca was excellent and really made our night. The food was great and our pints of guinness were delicious.

Really enjoyed our visit. Our party was looked after by an Irish gal called Becca who had us in stitches laughing from the moment we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. The other Irish guy was also very friendly and helped Becca when upstairs got busy. Lovely experience and look forward to returning

Been a few times and really loved this place, regularly been served by Chelsea and she always looks after our group exceptionally well!

I visited this pub for the first time the other day, and the atmosphere was fantastic, busy, lively, and full of energy. I have to give a special shoutout to the bartender, Chelsea, who provided excellent service despite the rush. Her efficiency and friendliness really stood out!

Came in to The Northcote over the weekend for the first time in years! The place was lively, excellent atmosphere and great food. To top it off we had the most amazing service from Chelsea - she was attentive and went absolutely above and beyond to ensure we had a good time!

Was at the Northcote on Saturday and had a great time. A very Irish chap, I believe his name was Stephen, was excellent and very helpful. All round a great place for a pint.

I often visit the Pub as I'm a local on Northcote Road. Can honestly say, the team are absolutely amazing. Shout out to Beca and Stephen, always welcoming us with a smile no matter how busy it gets. The food is brill and atmosphere is second to none. Get yourself down if you haven't already been.

Booked a table for 6 to eat on a Saturday. Place was massively understaffed so meant we couldn’t order from our table and instead had to queue for an age for food and drinks. The few staff who were working seemed completely disinterested and the food (double burger and fries, fish and chips) was barely above Wetherspoons standard. So loud in there we couldn’t hold a conversation at the table either. Can’t recommend as somewhere to eat

Went in for lunch and drinks on Eng v Scot game. Great table and atmosphere and the Guinness and Murphy’s were quality. And bar staff were fine. The problem came with the food and the attitude of the woman who served us. She was wearing a black striped cream jumper with dark long hair. She put down two steak and chips with the guys ate. Tasty and well cooked but tepid. The main issue was my chicken schnitzel on sour dough and my friends fish and chips. The f&c looked like leather they were so over cooked / dirty oil. A brandy snap would be a good description! My chicken was mahogany in colour and clearly a chicken burger not schnitzel and in toasted brown bread. We flagged this to the woman who was very rude and defensive. The colour of the food wasn’t due to over cooking apparently it is just how it comes out and if we want another it’ll be just the same. And fish is specifically like that due to using cider in the batter. Cider is quite light and the amount you actually put in for batter is neglible so this is nonsense. And Irish pub used to put Guinness in the batter and their batter was always normal if it was cooked well in clean oil. Just own it that is was badly cooked and resolve it. Don’t argue and spout nonsense!! As for the chicken the woman told me the burger and the schnitzel were the same thing (!) and that is was sour dough. Again why make things up. Long story short, food was awful, got a couple of different dishes instead which were better but mediocre (if you say sausages and colcannon, plain mash isn’t colcannon!!), woman was rude, pub was nice. Don’t offer a full menu on match days if you can’t deliver it.

Disappointed. We made a reservation specifically requesting to watch the Champions League match of the day, as advertised on their website. However, when we arrived, the bartender had to call the manager who flat out refused to show the match because there was another Premier League match already on. The excuse given was that the TVs were not synchronized and that the channel was not working, which is a blatant lie considering they had shown the channel earlier when the players were warming up. This whole situation was beyond frustrating. We traveled a long way just to meet up and watch a match that was promised to us. It's absolutely ridiculous that they couldn't accommodate our simple request without any kind of notice. The lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is truly disappointing.

We booked a table to watch the football and specified that in the reservation comments. When we arrived the table we reserved was taken and it wasn’t in view of a screen anyway. The bar manager then told us they were unable to show the game because they were having technical difficulties. It was not the bar manager’s fault, he was obviously under a lot of pressure and doing his best, but the overall experience wasn’t great and could be improved.

Food was really disappointing. Had to send it back as it was burnt and it came back the same. Normally wouldn’t mind but if you’re paying a premium you’d expect it to be good. Drinks expensive as per the area so can’t complain there. Vibe and staff were great though.

Was going to order a cocktail but when the server had to refer to the instruction manual I thought, no, large white wine would be a safer bet.

Huge thank you to Becca who moved us (from our booked table) to one upstairs as we found the music way too loud downstairs to talk. She moved our food order, brought water and was very attentive and friendly. First time here but would come again due to her excellent service.

I booked a gathering with a bunch of friends just before Christmas. The team were really helpful in organizing everything for me, gave us free use of the upstairs space as they didn't have a booking, which meant we had use of the upstairs bar too, and even decorated our tables with Christmas crackers. It felt very festive, and we had a great afternoon/evening. The staff on the day were all lovely too! We will definitely make this our go-to place when arranging our get togethers in future! Thanks all!

For the past two years, we have booked the upstairs bar/room for our Xmas lunch with c25 mates and their kids. Vilia and her team are brilliant and the room is perfect for a lunch (see pic). The only reason we gave 4* for the food was (while the turkey was decent) the sprouts were undercooked - wholly subjective I know! We look forward to next Xmas - if the sprouts are cooked?!

We had our work's christmas dinner here and this was by far the best we've had! Staff were so so friendly, caring, chatty, helpful and the food was really delicious, honestly could not find a fault. Thank you so much!!

The whole family, 10 people, went here on Sunday afternoon, including my 3 grandchildren, to celebrate my son's 40th birthday. We all had a great time. The food was delicious. The lady serving us was so attentive and friendly. The portions were huge, even the kids roast. Have to say the Guinness was very good 👍. Live football to keep grandkids happy 😊. A very pleasurable afternoon evening .

Disappointing. We had family visiting and took them here because we’d always had good experiences in the past, but this time it took so long to get drinks and food, even though we ordered on the app, and my meal wasn’t edible in parts (the mushy peas actually tasted as if they had gone off). Both of the Young’s ales were off. We had asked for a high chair in advance but were told there was only one and it was broken.. so I’m not sure this can be called a family friendly pub. All in all, wouldn’t go again - too expensive for the standard of the food and quality of service
