This restaurant serves halal food! I tried their burgers on different occasions, especially the chicken ones, and they are much more tasty and well made than other more expensive halal shops in the tooting area. Their fries are fresh made and very crunchy and the amount is more than you usually are served from other places. Definitely give them a try!

Stopped by for breakfast, ordered Eggs Benedict, awful! Cold overcooked poached eggs, hollandaise from a tube, stale muffin, good freshly cooked mushrooms, nice cup of tea

They'll put chicken on your pizza even though you ordered vegetarian and tell you, you need to pay for their mistake.

It's hard to get a full english wrong but everything was completely bland and flavourless. Except for the allegedly 115 calorie "smoothie" which was like pure sugary juice in a glass (no texture/fibre to the "smoothie" at all). I had to even add salt to the baked beans. Whatever brand of sausage they use was mushy and not tasty at all. The worst part of the meal was that staff decided to congregate a few steps in front of where I was eating and lift up a trap door to the basement, revealing a thick frame of dust all around the door and releasing dust mites and a damp smell during my meal. Whatever they were doing took them 10 minutes and I was halfway through my meal, but they didn't have the customer service foresight to just wait for me to finish eating before unpacking the basement. I had a full view into the musty downstairs, complete with rodent traps and damp. Absolutely revolting when I was trying to eat. I had to get up and move tables to finish my meal. Never again.

Ordered for takeaway Chicken fillet burger dry and very small, ordered chicken steak burger with ketchup for my daughter they gave chilli sauce so she couldn't eat it. With the options they have in tooting. Wouldn't eat from there again

On a quick passing visit to Tooting Broadway I found this lovely cafe. It's cosy and we ordered coffee, smoothies and cakes. Very tasty and excellent customer service. Would come here again

Nicely looking from outside chicken shop. Unfortunately inside despite quite nice and tasty food is a bit dirty and smells of very long used frying oil. Chicken fillet burger was barely warm as well as the bun which suppose to be grilled or nicely toasted it was somehow warmed up. Chicken wings were quite OK but very greasy dripping oil in every bite. Overall there is potential but need to be worked out more

Great pizza - better than pizza hut - and amazing value. £4.90 for a 10-inch pizza and loads of toppings.. will be back!

Cheap and best in Tooting Broadway

By far the worst chicken shop I’ve been to. Hefty prices with the worst tasting food. Ordered 5 wings with chips today. Chips were normal but the chicken was atrocious. It was uncooked. One bite of that chicken wing and I threw all 5 away. Soggy chicken with the coating all over my chips. Very dissatisfied.

The food is excellent. The problem is Hala meat which brings up all the usual animal welfare concerns. If lt wasn't Hala meat, I would give this place 5 stars.

Chicks was so great back in the day. Now it's expensive with bad quality. I feel like the food is not fresh. Please if you have increased your prices then also take care of the quality

I hered the owner telling the girl on the counter off for giving customers sauces. Pizza was poor but too few toppings chicken is always amazing but everything fried is. The owner old man should not be customer facing.

The food was very low quality. The wings wasn’t cooked freshed. Prices are really high. Grilled burger wasn’t a grill burger at all. Never visiting this shop again.

Ive been coming to this place more then a decade, i must say shrinkflation has hit the chicken shops. Ordered wings and chips which was a whole 7, i was lrft hungry afterwards. Portions have gone way smaller, but the price upwards. Used to be able to buy two of these meals at the price it is now. The quality of the food has to represent these price increases. I've noticed it go up multiple times in a short space of time. The amount of competition around, they would need to adapt to increase quality first, before prices... place wasn't very clean, poor size of wings smaller then they used to be. Quite disappointed with this place as it used to be clean, good quality food, with good prices..

From the moment I rang up I rang up to book, I knew it was a good find! The service was amazing and food outstanding! I booked for 13 but ended up being 15, no problem. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty. Lots of lovely drinks as well. No issue with separate payment s either.

Basic chicken shop that also does pizza friendly staff that allow you to order in advance

This place doesn't sell pork but it doesn't tell you that. It lists bacon and sausage but they are not pork. I specifically looked at their website before I went there to check for this. Its fine that they don't sell pork and the rest of the food was very nice (and quite pricey) but please customers should be able to make informed decisions and not be misled about what they are getting

I popped in here as I was staying nearby and it looked decent. The coffee was good. I had a flat white with Turkish eggs, which I was disappointed by. It was quite watery and I’m used to a thicker sauce. The bread that accompanied it was good however.

Used for takeaway so can't comment on atmosphere. Like the taste of their chicken and fries freshly cooked

I ordered 15spicy wing n 6chicken steak burger I found long hair in the spicy wing stick in the wing I derived back to that shop spoke manager even he don't believe what I showed him he did not apologise n steak burger taste horrible cause of the very very old oil they use nobody wear hair net specially in cooking section luckly my kids did not eat those wings n burger he only gave me a refund for 15 spicy wings but not burgers please don't order ur food from this shop that is last time ordering from here total waste 👎👎👎👎👎

The fried chicken is very delicious and cheap (not worse than KFC)! Recommend!

We bought two meals. Chicken wings were average, did not taste fresh. chips were ok. The drink can they gave me (330ml) had dust and hair on the top of it. It must of have been kept in an unhygienic place. I showed it to the guy at the counter and requested a new can however there was no apologies. That can would've then been given to another unsuspecting customer. If a dirty drink can was given to a paying customer then I can only imagine in what environment the food must be prepared. Cleanliness of the place - 3/10.

Went for breakfast this morning and ordered a veggie breakfast. Half way through it I discovered a piece of bacon under my eggs. We told the staff but we got a rather nonchalant reaction. They did not seem to understand that finding a piece of meat (bacon looking meat) in a veggie meal is a problem.

I use to go there a lot more as a kid, I came back to London for. A few days and was very pleased to see that although the shop had changed owners and style all the food tastes just as delicious as I remember. Very nostalgic. Would recommend.

We visited with our family for Saturday afternoon coffee and cakes such lovely sunny weather we sat outside. Enjoyed hot chocolates, latte and cappacino plus marble cake, custard tart and chocolate brownies All were delicious and served by a really friendly and professional member of staff The brownies were so good we purchased another two to take home. If you're in Tooting this is a lovely little place.

Amazing food! We came here for a random late night meal and the burger was juicy, hot, thick. No dry burgers here! They are generous with sauces! And the chips were so good too👌🏼

Popped in twice this week for coffee and a cake, once on my own, once with my husband. Nice selection of cake. Coffee was nice, not too strong.

Pizza was black and burnt. Horrible. Ruined my night and now i am sat here with nothing to eat. I could smash the pizza on someone's head and they'd get knocked out. The pizza was that hard! Horrible experience 0/10.

Amazing food, the milkshakes are alright, the smoothies are not the best but still edible. The popcorn chicken is a bit too crunchy and barely has any meat in it, also tastes a bit like cardboard. The chicken is SOO TASTY!! So is the fries, burgers and pizza! Amazing flavour and texture. I’ve been going to this chicken shop for more than four years since it’s quite local. I’ve also went there with many of my family members and they all love the food. 💯👍

Imagine that’s a chicken burger made fresh and that’s what it looks like 2 seconds into my hand after paying? Absolutely rubbish chicken steak burger. Like at least make an effort, or hire the old stuff and fire this new hopeless guy. Let’s be honest, the fried chicken is really bad, the new guy with the glasses, is so slow or just doesn’t know how to take multiple orders. The chicken is dark brown or over cooked. The pizza is average. You go here because it’s cheap quick food. If you want good fried chicken, go to chick city. But it really has declined, in standards and customer service is slow. The lady at the back is far better at doing a better job. Instead they leave the new guy who takes 15 minutes to understand I want a pizza. It’s behind you.

When I came in I did feel as though I shouldn’t be there, the lady who came to give us our HOT coffee, gave me mine OVER MY CHILDS HEAD. I literally couldn’t even believe it, then the food came like 3 mins later, it was completely cold, I literally told myself I will never come back here, so disappointed i ordered the royal which is eggs benedict, literally everything was cold and tasteless, I really don’t even understand why everything was so cold even the toast the butter didn’t melt, no point going here, unless your good with bland cold food

We visit this place once and we left quite disappointed. It all started good: our waitress was very nice, food arrived fast, was looking amazing and was also tasty. We were very happy until we had to use a toilet - was on other end of restaurant with partly open kitchen in the middle. Kitchen was dirty, walls covered in old oil, all "decorations" around the kitchen covered in dust. Then between kitchen and toilet we could see some messy staff lockers, some of them was open, full of personal staff and not secured at all. And than was dirty toilet with no soap and no toilet paper.

Went there for brunch on a Sunday with a friend and my son.We went there before and there were already some "mistakes" in the order(i.e. found a long hair between my eggs and my muffin, but it's ok it can happen,we had wrong items)but this time was really AWFUL!To start with there was no soap in the toilet and no hand sanitizer.We had to ask the waitress to clean the table as it was dirty and sticky.The coffee was wrong and they did not offer to make another one.I asked to swap mushroom and tomatoes with hashbrows but they do not swap food and I had to pay extra to have them, however my breakfast was coming with mushrooms and tomato(btw more expensive than potatoes)and I paid the breakfast in full even if I didn't have the mushrooms and tomatoes(I think it's a waste considering I cannot eat them).We went there before and my son always had the pancakes with caramelised banana and berries with maple syrup and yogurt(that's what is written on the menu)and it always came like described on the menu.This time we had the pancakes with few blueberries and 2 small pieces of strawberries.We then asked for the missing caramelised bananas but we were told we ordered the berries pancakes...so they brought us a piece of caramelised banana but they kept insisting we only ordered the berries pancakes.At some point the chefs started arguing and shouting behind us as they have an open kitchen and the manager had to separate them...we couldn't hear each other speaking at the table!The waiters were going in the kitchen without wearing a protective hat preparing their own food.Only 1 of the waitresses had her hair tied,the one who served us had her quite long hair down...really?!?!?Serving food without having the hair tied?!?!Well...when we went to the till to pay I checked the menu again as I was quite sure about the pancakes, in fact there are two types of pancakes on the menu,one type with bacon and one with caramelised banana and berries with maple syrup and yogurt(again,this way is written on the menu),so I decided to tell the lady at the till.She said they have two types of berries pancakes on their system,the one with banana and the one without and we ordered the one only with berries.Then I told her we went there other times before and the pancakes always came with both as written on the menu,and she kept saying they have it differently in the system and there was a misunderstanding with the waitress.I was trying to tell her that there is not much to misunderstand as we(customers)do not know what they have on the system,we only see the menu and on the menu the description is pretty clear and the other times we went it was fine!But she kept saying there was a misunderstanding.While we were living one of the other ladies there,doing a gesture with her hands and with a very explicit body language,said to the other "Oh don't worry"!It's a real shame for a small independent business to offer this kind of service as the food is pretty good,not worth the price you pay,but good.Definitely I will not go back!!!There's plenty of small independent businesses around who offer a better service!!!

We called in here a couple of times for a quick snack as visiting Tooting for a dance lesson.Service is prompt and efficient and the food is fine, although I do not like to see cakes on the counter left uncovered. I also feel they should be taking people's contact details as part of Covid-19 safety guidelines. We were not asked for our details either time we were there for brunch. Nice fresh orange juice.

I cannot fault this cafe. It is beautifully designed. I love the hygge feel to it. Staff are genuinely helpful and friendly. They also support the #Eatouttohelpoutscheme They gave a good variety of drinks including iced teas which is really helpful in this weather. I enjoy relaxing in the cafe. If you are a solo traveller it is nice as there are nice quiet areas the cafe. When they do make meals, they have attention to detail, that the food looks beautiful. Even simple things like using herbs adds to a great visual meal. I really like effort. It maybe more expensive, but it is a great place to bring relatives and friends to the cafe, rather than some greasy spoon. If you are feeling a bit low, it is nice to come up for a wellbeng meal. You can have a quiet spot and watch the world go buy. It is more busy at the back. Make the most of the Eat Out scheme, which means you can come to the cafe more often. If you are artistic, it is very close to the art shop nearby, another bonus

Daughter and I had lunch which was good value for money and very well made. their vanilla lattes were really good. Well worth a visit. Also had the carrot cake as a take away and that was just heaven on a plate.

Homely place, the materials used for design are visually appealing especially the kitchen. Not much choice for cakes when you come later in the day. (2.30) good value.

Don’t order the full English because it’s not good at all. It says it includes bacon and sausage which in an English breakfast are always pork. There’s nothing to tell you this is a Halal cafe so what you get is really horrible cheap chicken...
