VE KITCHEN in Wandsworth

We had a really disappointing experience here, having returned on the back of a great night a few years ago. Although the food was still tasty enough, the service was dreadful on this occasion. There were only 3 other tables with diners on while we were there (while other restaurants close by were rammed), and yet it took an age for our food to arrive. After a slight altercation over some wine that one of our party wanted to return (it tasted corked, but we hadn't seen it poured, the waiter refused to accept there was anything wrong with it) we were all without drinks while waiting for the food. Half the table was served food, with the rest following at least 5 minutes after, one dish without a final element for another 10 minutes, and drinks, which had to be requested when the second half of the food turned up, following a bit after that. Once finished, we had to go to some lengths to ask for the bill, chase it up, and our plates still hadn't been cleared by the time we left. They charged 12.5% service.

We found this restaurant on the Happy Cow app. The menu is very varied from burgers to healthy bowls and everything in between. Our food was delicious and the surroundings are lovely. Only problem is that we don't live nearby!

Nice chilled spot for some great vegan food. Brilliant range of food, and light hearted, humorous and attentive staff (despite my questionable manners 😉) We’ll be returning - thank you!

We had such a yummy meal here. The lady who served us explained the menu to us and recommended dishes (partially based on our star signs but it was more scientific than just that!). At first I wasn’t sure but we both took her recommendations and absolutely loved the food we were served. The wine was really nice too. It wasn’t cheap but it did feel worth it.

One of the tatiest meals that I've had for some time. Everyone... Including meat eater me were most satisfied and really enjoyed our time at VE Kitchen. VVE will be back!!! Yum yum yum! 🎉
