The Garratt Tavern in Wandsworth

I absolutely adore the staff at this place—they're always so friendly and welcoming! The warm autumn decorations create a lovely atmosphere, and the spacious garden is a delightful bonus. We find ourselves coming here even when I'm in the mood for a delicious cake while my partner enjoys watching football. The kitchen consistently serves up fantastic dishes, and the prices are simply unbeatable! The Garratt Tavern has quickly become our go-to local spot.

Some of the food could have been hotter and would benefit from being served on warm plates. Order was not correct as not provided with skin on fries as requested. Server appeared to be new and didn't know what he was doing. No atmosphere at all.

The great range of large TVs outside was perfect for watching sports. Unfortunately, the atmosphere inside took a turn for the worse. While enjoying the football match, I witnessed a fight break out between some locals. It might be wise to exercise caution if you decide to go inside.

Popped into The Garratt Tavern for a drink before cinema as it was a nice evening. Saw this pub had a beer garden from photos, but they didn't do it justice! Very friendly, relaxing, welcoming, service at the bar, The inside is a normal, cosy, British pub, the beer garden is superb!! Plenty of spacious seats, choices of different seating, and if you like sport, fantastic TV viewing from anywhere. Will be popping in here for a match soon!! Southside Car Park a few minutes walk away.

Nice sports bar on the main road. Nice service and friendly staff. Well worth a visit i would say. The TV’s may be abit to high on the wash but other than that all good.

The absolute worst service from the rudest bartender. Would never go back purely for how rude she was. We had pizza and potato hash bites, and couldn’t even finish it - pizza was worst than a Tesco frozen pizza and the hash bites were cold and served with the tiniest drop of awful curry sauce.

The perfect pub to hang out with the family. It boasts a massive outdoor space, delicious food, and nice, cold beer—what more could you ask for? The staff are very friendly, and the toilets are clean. We must visit again soon. Highly recommended.

Never anything on cask here, just the usual lagers.

Used to be lovely a few years ago but sadly since the change of management it has decayed a lot! Food is ALWAYS a miss now. The pub itself is dirty and the toilets are disgusting. Staff is more interested in their phones than cleaning or serving customers.

Great local pub, friendly service and lovely beer garden

£7.5 a pint and they don't bother with the heating? Everyone wearing their jackets. My friend made a mistake of ordering food. Believe it or not this is half a chicken. Burned. Size of a small rat.

We were staying in the area for a party so wanted a wholesome lunch before and stumbled across this place. Nice welcome, it was busy but with a community feel. We had 2 x fish and chips and 2 x half a roast chicken. All beautifully cooked and presented. Very delicious. The staff were all very friendly and professional. We very much enjoyed our visit!

We popped in here for lunch to avoid the carnage that would be Nandos on a half term (think screaming kids/queues etc). Turned out to be a great decision. We had a decent meal and probably the best service I've had in a pub/restaurant in ages. As an example my daughter ordered fish fingers but unfortunately they were out, she was unsure whether to get Scampi as she couldn't remember if she liked it or not and the chef said no problem and cooked her a single Scampi to try in a little bowl. She decided to go with the Scampi. They might not do this if it was super busy but the point is they didn't have to and it really helped make a good experience. Prices are reasonable too. I had a burger with bacon and definitely as good as anything I've had from some much pricier pubs.

I’ve tried many times to gives this pub a chance, however this was the final straw. The food on many occasions is mediocre, however to not have adequate inventory of the food listed on the menu is inadequate. We’ve taken family to the pub and each time, within the space of a week, there hasn’t been certain STAPLE items. Sadly for them, I won’t be supporting this local business. The service from a certain main person, has left a sour taste in my mouth. Frankly the spread eagle has better service and atmosphere. Go there instead.

Brilliant pub with beer garden that does bbq on the weekend

We went there for my birthday. Had a very pleasant and relaxing evening. We enjoyed being outside in the very large garden . We didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

Nice place to have a quite drink

Very clean and friendly pub. Food looks great. Shows the sports on the big TVs but not to loud. Music too. Massive back garden. Very nice too. Clean toilets. Prices are the cheapest around and the pub is in the top ten. Hows that. Staff are very nice too. A safe and friendly pub.

Had a drink up at the weekend, boss, manager, bar staff very helpful friendly and organised and layed back. Lovely relaxed place. Drinks reasonabley priced BBq in garden area food was excellent.

Best Customer Service..especially..(Molly), best hamburgers (thanks Mose..sorry if i misspelled your name), warm inviting atmosphere, and a backyard (all you need is the suntan lotion).. Thank you for the great service..Keith

Nice pub with a good selection of beers although not many ales. Great big garden (with heaters) which is dog friendly (although the dogs aren't allowed to sit inside. A few big screens spread throughout will make this a great spot to watch sport too.

A pub that is conveniently situated a few minutes from Wandsworth Town centre with a nice indoor decor and a mainly covered back garden and several large TVs for watching football and other major events. Best of all, most Saturday afternoons and evenings and during England and Brazilian World Cup football matches Rogerio's Brazilian Kitchen does some wonderful Brazilian canapes and barbecued meats at excellent prices - certainly worth a visit just for that.

Give it a miss. Lack of staff. (I felt sorry for the two members working) I waited over an hour for food that never arrived. (a simple steak sandwich) There were only about ten customers in the pub. Demanded a refund and left.

Just had the most satisfying lunch, and at a bargain price, thanks to the ‘2 for 1’ burger deal. We had the cheese & bacon burger and the buttermilk chicken burger, both of which were delicious and served with great tasting chips and onion rings. Be aware though, the ‘slaw’ is rather fiery! Unfortunately we didn’t ask for names, but both members of staff we had contact with were very friendly and helpful. The garden was a peaceful oasis after the madness of the nearby shopping centre.

Garret is one of our locals after a hard day's work. Come here when not in work also as a friend lives in the building next to the pub. Food is nice only had it a handful of times but has been good! Drinks are well priced for the area and a good selection of beers, wine and other drinks. We always come for the outside area as we love the big benches for all our friends. Plus the sofa in the garden makes it a good touch, you can sink into the comfy sofa after a long day. Cosy! Staff are lovely and friendly. Can see why the locals keep coming back!

I had a lunch, was my first time in the area so I wasn’t expecting anything but I think that won’t be the last one the staff was nice, the food fast and tasty, next time I will come back for some cocktails!!

Very slow service. Food took 45 mins to arrive. I ordered a vegan burger and received a meat one. Also overcharged. Very disappointed especially as it was as a family Mother's Day treat.

Went in there for a drink, I got a half pint and glad I did... It felt very intimidating with some of the customers on how they looked at me like I was not welcome there. The barmaid who was working there 31st October 2021 around about 22:30. Just looked and felt very hostile and was more interested sitting down with her customer instead of being behind the bar. "Barmaid some advice" if you got time to sit/lean you got time to CLEAN!!!! I recommend not going there on your own or just don't go there at all..Bring Back GJ's

This pub has always been a quaint pub that recently got a piano. Fun story is that I meet the person that used to own the piano this night when we went there. Which for us was really nice as we had someone talented play the piano! Love that experience. The costumers here have usually been friendly, and does it have a sport type pub style. It’s a typical drinking spot post training and it is a popular spot during sporting events that is being broadcast. The staff here have been lovely. A friend spilt their drink, and they were kind enough to clean it up and him a new glass free of charge. They could attend more to the restroom and fix the lock on the toilet as it has been broken for a while now.

The place is beautiful, comfortable, clean and airy, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and the drink is at the right temperature.

All the greats for this one, Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is definitely better than just “Pub Grub” I had the Vegan Burger option and it was probably one of my favourites from a pub. Outside Area was spot on, clean and very open, plenty of screens spread around for sports events too.

I really enjoyed my time at the Garrett Tavern. The outdoor sitting area is spacious and cozy. The vibes were good and the staff friendly. I did not try the food but it looks fresh and well-prepared. I would highly recommend this establishment.

I visited today, the food overall was ok. I ordered hunters chicken, however it didn't come with bbq sauce and the chicken was dry, Chips were lovely though. My friend had the fish and she said that was good. My main beef is that I was not allowed to have a pint of coke (draught) purely because I didn't want ice, something I never have! Instead I was given a small glass and ordered a 2nd one quite quickly as I assumed the assistant had made an error with my initial order, once more a small glass instead of my requested pint glass. I then discovered that two small glasses cost £6.70!!!! The bar assistant did her best to try and justify the price with a pint of water versus the regular glass, showing a 1/4 of water left in the pint glass and tried to state that would have been equivalent to 3 ice cubes. I'd say 20 ice cubes at least!! For this reason I will not go back into this bar if I have no intention of drinking alcohol as I'm not prepared to pay £3.35 for a SMALL soft drink a pint sure but I should be allowed not to have ice!!!

Having the unenviable task of having 9 hours to kill in Wandsworth (was having a complete car stereo fitted), I stumbled upon the rather nicely presented pub for an early lunch. I ordered the buttermilk chicken burger which looked and tasted good (despite me asking for no tomatoes and it coming with tomatoes, which I had to pick out). Chips too were fat and fresh. A good venue with attentive hosts.

Lovely pub with a large and newly refurbished garden, however menu and service was a let down. Few vegan options! ordered starter of garlic bread and mushrooms with a dip and side salad, which took over an hour to arrive (way later than a friends much more complicated food - who ordered after me!) and mushrooms came without any accompaniments. If small tweaks were made, it could be perfect.

In complete contrast to the park tavern merton road we had a wonderful family evening on saturday night We were treated with respect and a smile and were aware of exactly what was on offer Unlike the park tavern all creeds were welcome and social distancing was requested in a non threatening and dignified way which eveyone adhered to.The bbq food was delicious Well done all concerned see you on our next visit

Another great night at GT. This place is one of my regular spots. Live singing and quiz nights....great atmosphere, great people. Faces who were once strangers are now family.

Just...don’t bother. As much as you fancy a pint, you’re better off not setting foot in. Can’t pull a pint to save their life, and they don’t seem to have any interest in learning. Rubbish music, rubbish music system, no atmosphere, and what atmosphere there is makes you wish you were in a vacuum. Go to Brewers instead. It’s a pleasant walk, and you won’t lose a bit of your soul.

A lovely, friendly pub in a great part of the city. Your life will be enhanced if you make a trip to The Garratt Tavern. They also helped us out getting some lost property back so that was good.

Seems a reasonable pub, popped in to meet some work colleagues from another office location. Good range of beers, Cider & wine available plus usual spirits. Nice large garden at the back, keeps the smokers happy! Good also for groups to get together but not feel cramped together.

Nice pub with a recently refurbished garden that's ideal for summertime drinks. Good range of Lagers is a winner for me. Plus Bruno, Kate, Igor, Katya and Moussa are very hospitable hosts on my visits here.
