What a fun place. Alex and team always go above and beyond to make sure customers have a good time.

Always great service from the really friendly team. Excellent burgers. Emily is alway friendly and welcoming. Updated 16.10.24 Newly refurbished. The new layout, while not dramatically different, really works. The bar feels more spacious, there is more seating. The TVs are in a better location for watching sports events. Burgers and pizza are still excellent.

One of the best night out I had in Clapham. I came with a group of friends for the Karaoke night with a live band. It was a lot of fun, the band was super good, staff is really kind and helpful, and the bar looks really cool now following the refurbishment! Will 100% come back with more friends for another great night ! THANK YOU !

Cleann & tidy, plenty of space, good welcoming service. It had a good vibe but did get very loud towards the end of the afternoon, so we moved on. Food was ok but not the cheapest considering the portion sizes. I will however not hesitate to visit again.

Recently updated it now sadly has rejected the people who liked it because it was the only pub in the area where you could meet friends and talk. It’s now just like all the other pubs along Northcote Road, loud, flashing lights, etc. The menu has also been reduced to the tastes of a 7 year old, Pizza and chips. A sad loss.

Great place to get a drink and some grub in Clapham. Two dart boards and a pool table as well as lots of screens showing various sports!

We stumbled upon this gem while dealing with train delays, and it turned out to be the highlight of our day! The place is incredibly cozy, perfect for a relaxing break. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the beer selection was top-notch. But what truly made our experience exceptional was the service. Our kids were exhausted, but the staff went out of their way to make us all feel at home. They were incredibly kind, generous, and especially friendly with the little ones. A special shoutout to the Brad Pitt lookalike who took such great care of us—thank you so much! This spot is a must-visit, and we’ll definitely be back.

Amazing Bar, looked after me and my group of friends for the whole of the euros. Alex the manager is brilliant and set us up game after game. The atmosphere is buzzing for big games. Have watched Prem games and Champions league and boxing here. A go to for any sport. Food is american style mainly. Could be a bit better but clapham has such quality its more snobbery than anything from me. Plenty of options and does the trick. Great selection of beers. Darts, pool and old school fifa in the corner. Cant go wrong.

Went there while the England v Switzerland match was on. Despite being absolutely rammed the staff coped superbly and kept the waiting times to a minimum. Surprised that the kitchen was open at this time, food was to a good standard.

Can’t beat the forge, the beers are cheap, the atmosphere is always good, friendly staff. And they look after the best footy team going round - Wimbledon Hawks

We waited a while for a our food, when it came half my main course came with everyone elses first course .Then the remaining part of it came out on its own as after an excessive wait we were told that our food had been prepared but no one had served it, and was therefore cold

This place was just fantastic! 10 of us arrived for a birthday dinner outing, the staff couldn’t be more helpful, they were so friendly and welcoming. Ok there was a 1 mistake with our food order but they quickly resolved this and also offered us a free meal on the house, as well as a free desert with lit candle for the birthday girl, 3 staff members also came and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ which was fab! The atmosphere and decor was also great, was lively/buzzy with sports screens as well as a brilliant live Jazz band which started as we were leaving as unfortunately had to get a train. But we’ll definitely be back, and the food was delicious HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Thank you guys for your fantastic hospitality! Keep up the good work!

What an awesome place! A hop skip and a jump from Clapham Junction (if you’re training or catching the bus). This quaint place has darts and sports on the tv - participate or watch. We had burgers and nachos and we were all pleased with the meals. The brownie dessert was a huge hit! The pub trivia on a Monday night is loads of fun, nothing too serious but it does bring out the competition amongst the quiet ones. A great local place that also sponsors local clubs so it’s worth getting behind this as well. Thank you, we’ll be back (with our trivia winnings).

We came to see a rugby match a few weeks ago. We had an excellent evenning in a festive atmosphere. We didn’t have dinner but Marie gave us excellent advice on the cocktails we chose.

We had a very good lunch. They show sports on TV; have pool tables; table football; They have darts too. Our son loved it. Staff are very kind and helpful, and they even surprised us with a couple of deserts on the house.

Booked the rugby with them 2 months in advance and they confirmed it but we got there and they had messed up the booking and refused to accommodate. Just said sorry our booking manager got it wrong. Unacceptable, will not be returning.

Local pub 5 mins from Clapham Junction, brilliant for watching rugby etc, good pub grub/beers, always busy with decent atmosphere (ie, worth booking a table). Enjoy!

Came here with my daughter last night. All seemed well initially, service was friendly as was the set up. I've been here before but not for years. Firstly it was pizza night and the pizza oven was broken so no pizzas. However all the signs and pizza menus were out so presumably the management wanted people who had come here for pizza night just to stay and order something else, which we did. The food, which was decent, caused a problem as my chips did not arrive. I was told that the chef had 'forgotten to put them on the plate' so, I said, no problem. This was clearly untrue as they took the best part of 20 minutes to come, by which time I had finished eating so I sent them back. I suggested they might want to consider giving us a pint each as a gesture. After a long wait I was offered a half pint each, which I considered to be derisory. I declined and said I wanted a refund for my meal. Another long wait ensued while the staff disappeared and then hung about by the till. I went up to the till to be told that it was OK to have the refund and that they were 'just about to come up and tell me' Both members of staff I spoke to seemed to take my justifyable complaints about my incomplete meal personally, as if it were a family run pub and I was taking food out of their mouths. In reality it is, I think, an M&B chain pub. I have just received the refund, funny how when I was paying they took the money PDQ! Judging by the other positive comments on here maybe I just caught them on a bad day but, when there are so many competing pubs and restaurants in the area, I don't think you can afford to have staff with this kind of attitude. It's not cheap in this pub but it could at least be cheerful.

We organised a birthday party here on a Saturday night and had the space at the back for exclusive use. It worked really well. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Great venue.

An okay pub, however it's very loud when the football or rugby is on. Food is priced quite high and isn't the best, but its pub food - so not suprising I guess

My husband and I decided to pop in whilst on a walk with our 8 month old son. The service was hugely accommodating for us all. The staff were amazingly friendly and made it an enjoyable experience for all the family. We ended up staying for food (which is fantastic) and having a great afternoon. We will definitely come back even if it’s just to see the staff again :)

The vibe here is amazing. The jazz band was fantastic yesterday. Also they have very sexy bartenders especially Bernie and Felix ❤️❤️ I’ll definitely try to get their numbers next time. Definitely recommend.

We love this pub and the atmosphere but yesterday the bar service attendance was terrible- slow and not serving properly, though we understand some bar staff were new - many were annoyed by the wait and lack of good service like it usually is! Otherwise great rooms with snooker, overhead projector and darts, good choice of beers.

Hawkins forge is a lovely pub with amazing staff. There is a great selection of beer! Live music on the weekends is so much fun!

Burger was very poor not much flavour came with pickles even tho I asked for no pickles, a large piece of plastic was in the burger that I very nearly choked on and the chips were cold, without doubt the worst burger I have ever eaten extremely poor.

Me and my daughter walked into the Hawkins Forge hoping to get some hot drinks... not to sure what type of pub to expect. First member of staff had the warmest smile and greeted us with open arms. I then started speaking to Bernie (unaware it was the big boss don Corleone) who offered my daughter a fresh jam doughnut - on the house! Great place, clean, spacious, nice people, great vibes. Will be coming back!

Good selection of beers. The show sport and they have a couple of darts and pool tables which were alot of fun. First come serve basis on the game's so no need to pre book

I went in to get a drink and food. The service was so lovely and prompt I asked for their names just so I could come on here and write a review. Lily and Sinéad made my night and helped me with all my queries. Will be back!

Booked a table on the 14th November for for 7 people on the 9th December. On the 5th December I requested a slightly later time (17.00hrs as opposed to 16.30hrs) and this was confirmed. On the 8th December I received a booking confirmation with all of the usual details (group size, time, address, etc). At 10.27hrs on the 9th December I received notification that the reservation had been cancelled. At 12.00hrs I phoned the bar and asked why the reservation had been cancelled. I was advised that they had overbooked and as a consequence they decided to cancel my booking. After a lot of discussion the manager advised me that they could not accommodate my booking. After 20 mins manager phoned me back (which I'm grateful for) and advised that they could find a table and that we would be able to eat there after all. When we arrived the table was occupied by another group, this was quickly rectified but we weren't told if we had to order at the bar or someone would take our order. After waiting we went up to the bar to order food and drinks. Some of the group managed to order food only for others to be told they would have to wait 60mins for food. At this stage we came to the conclusion that getting a meal here would not be possible so decided to try another restaurant. They kindly refunded the cost of the food we managed to order, this was delivered as we walked out the door and was graciously eaten by the group who occupied the table before we arrived. I understand it's Christmas and it's the busiest time of the year for bars and restaurants but when you accept my booking we are entering into a legally binding contract - I agree to show up and you agree to give me a table. My recent experience is disappointing and if you are so busy that you are happy to lose a table of 7, good for you. I'm very happy that the Thai restaurant was able to benefit from your incompetence and total lack of customer service.

I had such a great time , food , service, live music , everything was perfect !!

Food not good or as advertised, service at bat adequate, but staff brinfood to table just confirmed the order and plonked it in front of whomever was closest to them, bot where it was meant to go. Spent too much time playing waiter to be spending their prices for what was provided! Guinness wasn't great and no decent beer on draught. Music far too loud far too early for somewhere without a dance floor. I would only recommend if you wanted to just get drinks with people you didn't like and they were paying!

I did not give this establishment my email address or any identifying information, and I did not use an app or wifi there, yet somehow they were able to email me a survey about my visit. This is extremely creepy and makes me want to never return. EDITED TO ADD: Since there doesn't seem to be any way to reply to the owner's reply, I'll add here that a pub somehow knowing how to contact me after a visit that did not involve me sharing any contact info IS a factor of the venue AS a pub. This is absolutely something that potential visitors should know about.

Great experience. Good food. We were there to watch American football on Sunday night. Bar manager could not have been more accommodating. Would have given 5 stars but sadly the bar had to turn off the American Football at 10pm. Myself and my friends were hugely disappointed at that but understand it’s a licensing issue. Great shame as we would have stayed and bought more to eat and drink.
