Popped to London before heading to the Dutch F1 and stopped here. oMG the portion sizes, the people, the food, the prices all absolutely incredible. The best breakfast I've ever ever had. What a gem of a place go there go now it's amazing

I visit whenever I'm nearby and sometimes take a detour lol. Would happily recommend, hot chocolates are a speciality.

This little shop near Camden Lane has a range of cheeses and other gourmet grocery items for sale, but it's the cheese toast that attracted us and it was amazing. The coffee was great too.

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.

Pistachios in the Park is a local favourite. The children love going but equally so does my elderly father. We are always made to feel welcome, the food is fab and the coffee keeps me upright and breathing! Everyone is kind and friendly and we are so grateful to have this gem on our doorstep ♥️

Ignore all the reviews that don’t rave about this little place. I’ve been eating salt beef on rye for years at Selfridges and the one here was streets ahead. And all for less than £10. You won’t be disappointed!

The hot chocolate is creamy and made with proper chocolate. They have all different flavours, my favourite is the orange. I also love the tahini balls and the oat cookie! Planning to buy some Christmas presents from here.

It was a real shame: I am pleased that some people have enjoyed it enough to leave positive reviews and I all I can imagine was it was different team in place when we visited. We arrived soon after opening time on a Sunday evening (pre theatre) so we were completely expecting a less lively atmosphere compared say to a Saturday evening or maybe after work on a weekday but we were looking forward to having our taste buds tickled at least . I was very disappointed as I am relatively familiar with Korean food and was looking forward to something interesting and perhaps a bit different. The only positive I can offer was that the locally brewed makkoli was good and very different from the imported longer shelf life product generally available in London. There was little engagement from the staff who seemed obsessed with the number of drinks initially ordered before anything could progress… I was shocked at the bill as the numbers absolutely did not tally with what we had experienced in just over an hour . The same figure would have fed and watered us very well almost anywhere else!
