Have been using the cafe for years now. All The staff are lovely and attentive. Tried chefs stuffed peppers yesterday, they were the best! Food has always been good.

Dear All - we had such an unfortunate event at manor coffee shop today(Pistachios in the Park) Manor House gardens. A teenager who joined the business disrespected us and snatch the coffee from my hand. One of the employees apologised because he was aware of her attitude but the owner decided to go with the teenage girl because she was the daughter of the park owner. Sadly, the attitude was not right and we decided not to go to the coffee shop again. If local shops do not want customers there is a big corporate that understands customer service.

Manor house gardens is one of my local parks and I visit it quite frequently. I really want to like the cafe there but all my visits have left me feeling angry and disappointed. I decided to write a review after my most recent visit and vowed never to step in there again. My reasons: 1) I don't use disposable cups. I care about the environment and I hate the taste of coffee in disposables. This cafe ONLY serves coffee in disposable cups (since the lockdown apparently). During a lockdown, I get it. But now that other cafes have switched back to china, this cafe carries on with this 'easy' for them solution. They claim their cups are biodigradable yet they don't provide a special bin for them (which is what other cafes do). The cups don't just 'biodigrade' in landfill I am afraid. 2) I ordered a cheese and tomato baguette. It was served in a disposable container even though I sat in the cafe and I know they serve food in real plates (I saw other customers with real plates/cutlery). My baguette was average and the tomato completely tasteless. 3) I was told off for allowing my toddler to use her portable/leakproof potty in the cafe to have a pee. The owner rudely and LOUDLY asked me to get her off the potty. I did try to use the toilets which were dark, cold and filthy and my two year old refused to wee in there (I don't blame her!) We have used her potty in trains/restaurants/cafes and I was NEVER told off before. I won't be visiting this cafe again and I will actively discourage others from using it. It's such a lovely park otherwise so a real shame about their customer service.

a lot of down and outs sitting outside not the best impression but then again some people lack any taste and will rate this shed in the park situated next to dirty vile public toilets

This is a great cafe in a lovely setting. All the staff are super friendly and the food is really good. There’s a real buzz here. And they sell duck food & peanuts so you can follow up lunch with a walk to the lake to feed the ducks and any squirrels you see along the way!

I am a regular visitor of the Cafe since having a baby and attending classes nearby. I often tell other Mums about the cafe, and go there for a coffee and sometimes lunch. I find most of the staff to be very friendly and polite, however sometimes you can feel like you are in the way with the buggies. Last week, we ordered two coffees and lunch. The lunch arrived but there was no sign of the coffee. Once we asked, they apologised and said that it would be coming right up. After waiting more than 15 minutes, the coffees arrived and the waitress then said that we actually hadn’t paid for one of the coffees. This was obviously a mistake on their part as they hadn’t put it through the till. She told us we had to pay for it - even though it was forgotten. It seemed a little off considering how late they were and when I mentioned this, was told it didn’t matter. As stated earlier, we are regulars of this cafe and to me, loyal customers should be treated a little better.

A great restaurant that allowed us to bring our daughter's dog into. Good bacon sandwich. We were even sold some extra bacon on a polystyrene dish for the dog.

I'm always here, friendly staff and lovely food. I have several items on the menu but my favourite is the lemon and sugar crepe. Child friendly and it does get very busy especially summertime! Food is fresh and tasty.

This is a lovely cafe but if children get on your nerves, be warned - it is absolutely dominated by yummy mummy types and their demanding and crumb flailing offspring. The owners try hard to be child friendly, which is good business sense, as the park is so perfect for the nappy valley inhabitants of the area. Check out the photos from other reviewers: you can barely swing a cat for all the Bugaboo pushchairs. If you have small kids, you will never leave. If you are from another demographic, you may run a mile.

Recomendado!

This is a lovely venue for coffee, lovely park and coffee. As a local I popped in for lunch opting for the special, fish cakes. Except when they arrived the plural had gone. I got one fish cake and a side of what can be most generously be described as potatoes dipped in hot oil with some lettuce and sweetcorn added. I couldn't eat the tasteless fish cake or extras. Very disappointing. Six pounds down the drain. Stick to the coffee.

We love this place! The staff are friendly, the food is wonderful and on a sunny day there's nothing better than to sit outside watching the world go by. But, don't get the strawberry milkshake! It tastes like milky water turned sweet! Bad Pistachios, very bad! You lose a star for that

I don't normally write reviews but I have to say this cafe is excellent. I have been a couple of times and I'm always happy with the quality of food and service but today something special happened. I went out for one of the first times on my own with my toddler and new born baby. My new born was crying for a feed so I decided to make a pit stop in the cafe. After ordering I realised I didn't have enough money. The owner still told me to sit down and gave me a cup of tea. You have no idea how grateful and welcome I felt. Breastfeeding friendly cafes like this are what is needed. They also have a supply of children's books so I was able to read to my toddler while feeding the new born. If you're looking for a park with a nice cafe where you can grab a nice relaxed lunch then this is the place for you!

I stopped here with some friends for a savoury crepe and a cookie. Great cakes, selection, good coffee. Mostly the atmosphere is amazing - full of children, older customers, multigenerational - a reall family place clearly beloved by locals! Warm, comforting, lively. Fantastic service and waiters who seemed to remember all their customers' names.

This cafe used to be quite good, but the last two visits have resulted in disappointing lunches- not what was ordered, tables not cleared, huge waits whilst the staff seem to just stand around. Probably still ok for coffee and cake/ ice creams, but go elsewhere for lunch.

When the sun is shining there is nothing better than breakfast in one of London's many parks. Discovered this small park in Lee, South East London whilst visiting a family member. Not only does the park contain tennis courts, football pitch and basketball hoops but it also has children's play area and a lake. Its a very family friendly park with a large dog free area. Best of all is the cafe Pistachios. It does great coffee, sandwiches, breakfasts and ice creams which can be enjoyed in the cafe, at outside tables or sitting on the grass! Its the perfect place to chill out with the Sunday papers and breakfast.

Out I went, for a thoroughly intense knees-up with Janto, Chunger and Big Mervyn. After drowning our sorrows with Big Merv’s inheritance from his deid Mam, and ingesting some lighter fluid avec workerman’s glue, we headed to The Joker for a knees up. First in, Chunger got in the pints which were all exceedingly tasty and helped wash down the acrid tang of glue at the back of my throat. It was only after Janto repeatedly and brazenly kept impersonating a couple on a date next to us, by doing the young man’s lovely, soft posh accent that things really got funny. ‘WHAT IS SO FUNNY?’ He boomed. ‘Please let’s just leave, these men are savages and I think they’re on something, they’re out of their heads!’ said his date. We laughed some more and Merv said, too right, we’re out of our heads on good times, and also a heavy dose of my deid Ma’s dosh. ‘You sick freaks’ intoned the gent. ‘You think you’re so funny!’ It was then that Chunger stood up and roared with the strength of a hurricane into his own pint glass - ‘I AM TRYING TO HAVE A LAUGH. MY FATHER WAS NOT VERY NICE TO ME’ We fell about the floor laughing and ordering more pints which flowed as fast as the beautiful currents of the Arno. Things became decidedly ugly when I took a gulp of the young gent’s gravy which was on his plate, but Big Mervyn settled accounts by leaning on the man’s shoulder and whispering a few sweet nothings. Overall, I had a cracking night and the craic was 90 as we Ho Ho Ho’d all the way home with the young couple’s umbrella which they very kindly gave to us, as well as £50, which was very generous.
