Always a great place to go, late night pub with live music upstairs, good happy hour between 4-7pm, staff are great, it's definitely a place worth visiting

Having never been here before, I’m glad we passed by, it was well worth popping in with friendly staff and a great design inside.

Proper intimate music space upstairs and nice pub downstairs that serves pizzas (little sloppy but tasty). Great sound system and a bar upstairs too. Can pay to leave coat and bags. Steep stairs up there and gets real hot upstairs so dress light

First time visit to a great little venue, located upstairs from a traditional pub, with a dedicated first floor bar. Pizza and a pint downstairs in preparation for a fun evening with two great acts. Good quality sound and decent lighting enhanced the experience.

Nice pub with a wide selection of beers available, they also serve pizza and burgers that are not bad at all and way better than many places. Music venue is upstairs and has good sound, its own bar and loos that are reasonably ok with everything working but perhaps a bit too much graffiti

Great pub / gig venue, went on a weekday was told about a happy hour they had on for the house beer, gave that a try and it was very pleasant, can imagine how electric the place is on a gig night, great service, good prices

I really liked the great atmosphere.

The bouncer racially profiled me tonight. I was on a night out with my friends. At the door, one bouncer singled me out, ID-ed me twice, and said "go easy on the drinks". When I asked him what he meant, he said he understands "behaviour" and I should check how I behave inside. When I asked him again, he said "you can go in. if there's a problem, you'll find out". I'm not sure why he singled me out from among all my (white) friends. I left immediately and he asked why, and when I sought clarification on what he meant, he simply replied "don't worry about it". As I left, I told him "I don't like it", to which he said "okay". There was no remorse or apology for his evident racial profiling, even tho by the end of our exchange, I sensed he realised he had profiled me. I'm not stepping into this pub again, and for the sake of other patrons, I hope management makes necessary corrections.

Music was fantastic, but they simply let fat too many people in. It felt truly unsafe with the number of people they let upstairs, my friends and I absolutely could not move.

The person at the bottom of the stairs letting people up was not a very nice lady. She was very rude and abrupt making everyone go up the stairs very quickly even though I was trying to ask a simple question and she tried to double charge my friend even though we had tickets.

Great pub downstairs and music venue upstairs with c.200 capacity. Good atmosphere and acoustic for gigs. Has a small cloakroom for gigs if that's your thing. Bar upstairs too.

Would give 0 stars if possible! Went to see my best mates band perform… Wasn’t allowed in and physically manhandled. The fact I was drinking 0% beer before turning up, and then being accused for being too drunk and thus not allowed in was insane. Bouncers clearly don’t understand music or any environment that bands come to play at. Awful service and security. Won’t be coming back! The bouncers / security are untrained, rude, unprofessional and abusive. Avoid at all costs!

Monday night quiz is super fun!

I was dragged along by a group of friends, who said it was open late and wouldn't charge silly entry fees. Of course, that's more than made up for by the bar prices. The queue for the bar was insane, but the beer was okay, the music not awful, and the other punters seemed to be generally friendly.

Music was good but stage area was so hot and was too overcrowded. Tix oversold

Used to be one of my favorite pubs. These days it’s run by youngsters that adamantly deny serving drinks suggesting people are too drunk when they’re not. I mean it’s a pub not a museum and the female manager is pretty sad. Otherwise good venue.

Went for a gig, love the gig space upstairs. Absolutely teeny tiny toilet cubicles. Amazing pizza currently on offer! Great deal for pizza and a beer for £10 at certain times. Lovely selection of draft beers and spirits. Excellent pub music too.

Great gem in London. Super casual pub during the day, lively bar with live music or a DJ during the day. Security are friendly, always nice to chat to them, as are the bar staff. They look after everyone. Definitely a safe place for solo women as well. They'll cut you off when necessary, as any bar should. Overall, amazing experience here and I've met many lovely people. :)

This is my favourite pub near kings cross station. Great beers, lovely atmosphere. Can get very lively in the evenings, a quiet pint can easily become a full night out. Has an upstairs venue for live music and clubnights.

Queue to get in (past the unfriendly security), then queue inside if you want to go upstairs, then queue for the bar. The secret of the Lexington is that people aren't here to dance or have fun, but to practice queueing! Friendly bar staff though.

If you want to visit somewhere that smells like sick that hasn’t been cleaned up in 3 weeks, this is your place. Every surface felt like a residual cocktail of bad decisions. Pints were at the price you’d expect for the area. Toilets clogged, bad smell, and not much else to say. I would avoid, even for just a pint.

Omg CHLOIE the new bartender is the best bartender i have ever met in my life. Words cannot express how much my time spent at the bar was made better by her mere presence. The roman empire WISHES they had the impact she had on my night out. She deserves the world and plenty of tips from u guys 👁👅👁

Great venue with a fantastic atmosphere

Wow, just wow. If any other venues are reading this then you could learn a lot from how this venue treats disabled people. Helpful is a complete understatement. I booked as a disabled visitor and received the best service in the world from one Delia Sparrow. And then when I had to inform the venue that I couldn't go due to illness, so that they use my disabled seat for someone else, nothing was too much trouble. They were genuinely caring and considerate and actually really do give a shit about the disabled. Honestly other venues, you have a lot to live up to if you wanna compare yourselves with The Lexington, because The Lexington are ahead of the game. Thank you very much Lexington for restoring a little faith in humanity

Legendary gig venue upstairs and whisky lounge downstairs. Great choice of beers, including a few well kept cask ales. Well decent place!

The worst Next in the UK, terrible service from staff who do not care, openly discriminate, will treat you like you are dirt and if you collect an online order at the weekend, expect to wait at least 45minutes to receive it, be prepared for others to be served before you even though they arrived after you, by a team and management team that couldn’t give a damn. My advice, find another store, this place is shockingly poor.

Attended again a few days ago, and was told that sports kit isn't allowed, even though we've gone in a fairly big group for years, after playing netball nearby. We weren't given a reason for this sudden change.

Great old venue, unusual layout. Good beer and whisky. Seen Brix Smith and Mozart Estate there both great. Saw Miki Berenyi Trio, excellent gig. Good selection of whiskey

Cool bar with a nice variety of beers on offer including lagers and craft. They also have their own beers too. During my visit I went for the happy hour pizza and pint deal and the pizza was also very good. You don't get much choice. Just the Margherita and a vegan version but it was still very tasty and I'd have it again.

Worst tasting beer I’ve ever had and rude staff. Shame as was nostalgically reflecting back on visiting here in the past in the 2000/10s. Ghostpoet etc. these days = pretentious rubbish.

The Lex is an amazing music venue. The sound quality has been consistently high every time I've visited, and the range of beers is great too. Only drawback is security can be a bit funny, but I'd say that's worth it overall. Haven't tried the music quiz but the guy seems extroverted enough!

Used to be my favourite late night pub for years but I will never go back there again until they replace that absolute unprofessional sausage of a beach club bouncer they have at the door, he can barely put together a sentence but literally enjoys treating customers like dirt. What a shame!!

After Falling on Hedges nearby, this was the best place for a "pick me up!" Great Selection of Bourbons.

Comedy night upstairs with 45 hilarious minutes of Stewart Lee

A great authentic place. Fabulous music is playing there. I was there for the Dark 80s party and had a really great evening. The employees are also friendly. The audience is mixed in terms of age. Easy to reach by public transport!

Ottimo pub. Arrivate presto intorno alle 18, ordinate una birra e cenate li’ con la squisita pizza in uno dei vari gusti in menù. Potete, poi, quando ci sono concerti, salire al piano di sopra e passare una bella serata di musica live.

Great bar and the venue upstairs plays the best music. I also lost a bracelet here and got in touch with the team who managed to find it and return it to me. Top customer service and a special mention to Delia.

Very lively late night bar,visited on a Thursday evening was open till 3am which was a blessing as lots of others had closed by around midnight. Good range of beers, pleasant staff and good service

Decent pizza with a very well priced deal at £10 for a margarita and pint 4-7 Monday to Friday under the ‘Alessios pizza’ brand that takes home inside the Lexington. Upstairs is a lovely cosy gig area in which I enjoyed a great concert by edbl. Overall, great evening.

Went there yesterday there was glass all over the floor it was unsafe and I’m pretty sure the place was also over the capacity which could of caused serious harm I’m surprised no one got hurt not worth the visit

Don't step out for a vape, security will quite aggressively grab your drink and send you away! Never had an issue stepping out (or with security in general) in my life, but here seems to be the exception. Not a great place to go if anyone in your group smokes/vapes, although there were several people chancing it inside.

I have been coming here for years, definitely once month if not more. Never had an issue and loved the atmosphere, music, people. Very weirdly a bouncer, today, told me we are so drunk (just got to pints) and need to come back in an hour!!! Was not even close being a drunk, never had an issue here before and I am old enough to remember to not being a teenage drunk. So sad even for writing this.

Friendly staff, good prices for the drinks. Great music, the pub also has live music upstairs. Lots of history if that interests you. Really good atmosphere. It's very convenient for kingscross Station.
