This little shop near Camden Lane has a range of cheeses and other gourmet grocery items for sale, but it's the cheese toast that attracted us and it was amazing. The coffee was great too.

Locale piccolo, molto curato.

This is clean with good coffee and a range of sweets and savouries. I tried the Portuguese Custard Tart that was fine. However there was nothing memorable about this cafe that would distinguish it form the many others in Islington.

I have not been in here for several years so as I was nearby I thought I would revisit and give it a go for a coffee and ordered a flat white. The beans they use tasted great but the coffee was served far too hot and at £3.10 was rather more expensive than places like Vagabond. Also they serve the coffee in vintage tea cups which does not work for me.

I regularly visit P&P and have had most of what they have to offer on the menu. the food is fantastic and the coffee is the best around. Service is very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The cheese toastie with chilli jam is something that you must try - truly exceptional. Thanks

From the moment we step foot, we were greeted with friendly, helpful faces. We ended up spending a good few hours here meeting up with friend. There were 6 of us at most plus a dog who was allowed downstairs or outside, no issues at all. 4 of us had brunch- mushrooms on toast (£6), well done poached egg on toast with added avocado (7.50), special- breakfast burrito (£9) which was insanely delicious and the jerk pulled pork ciabatta with coleslaw and spicy pineapple chutney, also gorge (£7.50)! With pot of tea (£3), latte (£3.20) and a mocha (£3.35). My mocha was very chocolate-y. Followed by a jam donut with deliciously sweet home made jam, and a custard donut which was huge and insanely yum (£1.80 each). Long black coffee with milk is good (£2.75) and so was the iced coffee (£3.60). We opened a tab and paid at the end. The two men working were just adorable, very helpful when at he till and had a laugh with you. Even bumped into them later further down the road and they still greeted us and gave us a big smile. Would highly recommend as a treat. A bit pricey but where isn't in London.

Visited pistachio and pickle for the first time a few weekends ago. We had to wait 10 mins for a table which isn't unusual in the area. We were seated, ordered at the counter and didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive, but it is completely overpriced. if I recall correctly a teeny side of spinach, was £2. It wasn't steamed or creamed just straight out of the bag and onto my plate. Making my eggs and salmon now more expensive than a full English breakfast. Not sure I will return.

I used to live just down the road from this cafe, and having moved recently is one of the biggest things I miss about Islington. This place is a gem - the service is fantastic, the food always delicious and coffee excellent. There is seating with newspapers inside, and for the warmer months a garden in the back which acts as a complete suntrap. Its not the cheapest place to Brunch, but certainly not as expensive as Ottolenghi nearby, but without the queues or pretence. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

Nice new place for coffee and lunch on Liverpool road. Enjoyed it, 25£ for two small lunch, drinks and coffees is steep for what you get. Also needs a bit of a clean.

Very friendly cafe, almost next to King's Cross Station. Went to stoke up before a long train journey and had a large full English, with much better quality bacon and sausage than usual in these kind of cafes, great coffee and excellent freshly squeezed orange juice. Total cost £11.45 - excellent!

Looking for an easy place to have breakfast, we stumbled on this cafe. Couldn’t see the inside as there was condensation on the windows. Opening the door revealed the hidden gem; a proper English breakfast place. The welcome was warm, the menu full of classics and tasted great!
