Is there any more that needs saying except - superb coffee? Not a big one for coffee shop 'vibes' but if the coffee served is this good nothing else matters.

Pasé por Goswell Road Café y noté que había tazas exhibidas en la ventana (alrededor de 12 , en 2 formaciones como pirámides) con la palabra cxnt impresa en ellos, entré y hablé con el personal explicando que hay una escuela primaria al otro lado de la calle (calle Peters y Pauls) y que los niños estarán sujetos a la palabra ofensiva a medida que pasan, no un buen aspecto y no el tipo de palabra que te gustaría escuchar de la boca de un niño! El hombre detrás del mostrador que creo que puede ser el gerente se rió de mí cuando dije esto, dije que esto no es un asunto de risa y se burló de mí, pude ver que no le importaba y estaba claro que no los quitaría. Pasé hoy por la cafetería Goswell y las tazas siguen expuestas en la ventana, claramente no tiene respeto por la comunidad, voy a boicotear este lugar y he escrito al consejo sobre este asunto.

Amazing atmosphere, best matcha latte ever, friendly baristas and awesome music choices! And how they treated and decorated for Halloween vibe today is just another level. Turned me into a regular visitor 🥰🔥🎃

I really like the coffee and matcha latte. The interior design is nice as well. But unfortunately the music is too loud, it’s hard to relax there or have a proper conversation. I organise socials after my dance classes and I used to come every Saturday with a group of girls (4-6 of us). Last time I asked the barista to turn down the music a little bit and she refused. We were the only visitors there at that time. The barista said something about the cafe policy and that in other cafes the music is even louder. I didn’t get it at all. Unfortunately I have to choose another much quieter cafe to go with my group. It’s impossible to speak without shouting there. Quite annoying.

I am in shock. This used to be my favourite cafe in this area. It used to be so cool, the staff was great, I had bought some of the merch and was a huge fan. Also - Great coffee btw… I came here to have a pastry and a coffee and do an hours works with my laptop but I simply could not endure being in here, I really tried but its just so so so so awful. This is not the cafe with chill and cool vibe that it used to be. 3pm on a Tuesday - they are playing music super loud, basically like a club (not exaggerating) - my apple watch was sending me hearing warning notifications. The “music” is also a form of torture - it was a PITBULL playlist, like the shittiest “music” one could ever imagine. You couldn’t find a space to sit before and now it’s super empty - no wonder! They cannot be possibly enjoying this I almost think its to scare people away. It is AWFUL, I am genuinely heartbroken over how they have turned one of my fav cafes in London to this… Its sad! I had to leave this was unbearable!

Popped into Goswell Road Coffee Shop last week and was met by really helpful and friendly staff. There was an incredible selection of delicious vegan sandwiches and cakes. Would absolutely recommend to someone who follows a plant based diet! The coffee was great too, fantastic price in London! I ordered a second. The interior was lovely, I loved the different sets of tables, chairs and sofas.

Fun atmosfere and good music. Starting the day positively. Great coffee and an amazing banana cake. Soft and moist and not too sweet. Just perfect. Friendly stuff. Recommending.

If you ever want to have the worst coffee or chai late in our solar system. Come here . Drinks are watered down and expensive . The staff didn’t seem friendly , it’s just like when your crossed aunty makes you a coffee. 🤣

Coffee is very hit of miss. Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s burnt and bitter. Suggest the staff sample it each morning, on a few occasions it was so bad I had to throw it away! Coffee used to be consistently great so not sure what changed.

Very cosy and a good cafe to sit out and chat. Got good options for quick grabs and smoothies and hot and cold drinks. Located on Goswell road. Very comfy couches to sit around.

Good coffee, service, and food options. However to my taste, it has a couch coffee vibe instead of many tables and the music was a bit loud. Also found it a bit expensive. Would personally not come back as it is not my vibe, but coffee if it is.

Loved this unconventional , trendy and friendly cafè

disgusting staff, lots of unrequested comments and even mocked by the short blonde barista. I got up and left after i ordered without collecting my order as comments and giggles didn’t stop even when we sat down and they made my partner very uncomfortable. For an “inclusive” cafe we expected nicer people and better service rather than being spoken to in disgust and little to no hospitality.

Had an americano and banana bread, the banana bread was really good! Coffee as usual nothing to say here. Ambiance was chilled and I loved it. People were very friendly, overall 5 stars from me.

Best cafe in Clerkenwell. The coffee is the best I've had outside of Melbourne (where it's a religion) and the staff are unbelievably friendly and kind (they always say hello and have a treat for my dog Jaxon). Food is scrumptious and it's set up well if you want to work from there.

Simply the best place for an all inclusive good time

Delicious coffee and they don't charge extra for vegan milk which is a big plus. The staff is so lovely and will put a smile on your face. The café is large and has plenty of seating options. Prices are very reasonable. It is the best café in the area.

On the day I went in I was “greeted” by arrogant, uncommunicative staff too busy looking at their phones to serve you with any kind of civility. They didn’t even bring the coffee or the food to the table when it was not busy and harder not to do it than actually do it. Again they were too busy looking at their phones. A black coffee, a flat white and two small sausage rolls for £18 all served with a look of distain. In fairness I saw them treat some people with dogs in a friendly manner, which was nice to see, just not some of the human customers, and the sausage rolls and chutney were good, but once again a place with people working in it that seemingly couldn’t care less about their attitude. And please put your phones down and look at people when they are giving you their business and their money is paying your wages. It is just the friendly and decent thing to do. There is no pleasure in writing a bad review, but there is also no pleasure in going in to a place for a nice time and being treated like they are doing you an unwanted favour. I’m so tired of giving money to people with a terrible, unfriendly, attitude.

It's almost perfect. Couches, plenty of space, decent coffee, free WiFi, charging ports... The ultimate place to work/study. However, they blast terrible, obnoxious music the entire time. Why. No one wants to listen to some energetic trap or reggaeton while they are trying to work. Put on some background music, elevator jazz or something at a low volume, let people hear themselves think. Would be 5 star of they changed this.

I absolutely love this coffee shop in Clerkenwell! The ham and cheese croissant is my go-to, and the coffee never disappoints. What sets this place apart is the incredible staff – they're all exceptionally nice, making it a truly special spot. It's my go-to place during work breaks.

My favourite place in London to grab a drink. Best cortado I’ve tried in this town, and they make a good matcha latte as well. The ladies behind the bar are super friendly and I love that they remember me and my usual drink. Comfy couches and lots of vegan options for food. Plus all the drinks can be made vegan.

Very good ambience. They have nice sofas and it’s a perfect place to meet friends or read novels or do your own work on laptops. The music is 👌🏼

Open early, great for a hot cuppa before work 😊 Lots of extra seating and loos downstairs.

Arrived, waited 15 min to be served, had time to complete a crossword and go to bathroom, got served and ordered a muffin, tea and Americano as I got them was told “Sorry, the shop is closing you have to leave” I didn’t want a takeaway and asked for a refund, was denied, I should have known the shop shut at 6. Some advice: 1. if you close at 6, at 5:30 only serve takeaways. 2. Take down the anti Tory poster in the window. You are the Tories.

Fave local coffee shop - love this place

Not sure what people are moaning about on here, they must have been to a completely different coffee shop. The coffee here is the best I have come across in London - much, much better than any of the chains. Decor inside is comfortable and welcoming (lots of comfy chairs). Staff are always pleasant and friendly.

Perfectly located for visitors to the Indian Consulate in Goswell Road. A welcome oasis of hospitality during a long wait. Friendly, informal atmosphere and delicious own recipe Christmas drinks.

Like many others I popped in here before embarking on the arduous task of submitting my application for an Indian visa at VFS Global a few doors away. I was very impressed with the coffee and so had a second, and this time ordered food - a vegan sausage roll and an orange-flavoured cake of some kind. Both items were absolutely delicious and pretty good value for London. They were enough to last me the three hour wait at VFS Global and my trip home.

Here with my parents, both of whom are disabled. We came to get our visas for a trip to India (to do a ceremony for my sister, she passed away from illness in December 2022). This place is the best coffee shop I've visited in England, and I was born in England. Where I live, my parents and I are consistenly discriminated. Here we were treated with dignity, as equitable humans. It is refreshingly lovely here, we had no "colonial gendered race tax" to pay here - thank you so much for this place. I wish there were more places and people like here!

Lovely dog friendly place with a very nice range of drinks/food etc including good vegan options and WiFi etc Feedback: to get 5 stars 1/ please give customers itemised receipts as routine so they can see what each item costs and know if there are errors etc 2/ the cold brew coffee was unsweetened- please make that clear before people order. Other cold items we ordered (tea) were sweetened by default so this is inconsistent
