A fabulous cafe - exceptional service from hospitable staff, tastefully decorated and situated at the heart of this pretty Essex village - had the tomato soup special along with some tea and an orange juice - great atmosphere and I would highly recommend a visit to anyone 👌🏼🙂

Excellent hotel & dining area. Friendly & attentive staff who work excellently as a team. Couldn’t fault the place !! We stayed there as a result of a burst pipe at our family home ( 3 weeks ) and couldn’t fault Tracy & her team who went the extra mile to attend to all our needs at a very stressful time in our life’s . The hospitality team are a great bunch of people who really look after the patrons and can’t do an enough for people . Also they do a mean Sunday roast ( highly recommended !!!)

Came for the Sunday carvery and it didn’t disappoint. Called to book a table and luckily managed to get a spot for my family of 5. From the moment we walked in we were impressed, the eating area (seperate from the bar area) was very cosy, staff were friendly and welcoming and we felt relaxed like we had been there a hundred times. Food was perfect, meats were delicious and the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, just perfect, oh and the cauliflower cheese was spot on! Will also keep your establishment in mind when we fancy a breakfast or a spot of lunch too

Excellent food ,good friendly staff ,well kept beers ,very clean,,dog friendly small bar ,last old type pubs.

Lovely place to stop for a friendly greeting, a delicious sandwich and a great pint. Stopped there on our way to Colchester.
