Great food, friendly staff. Step access at the front is a little difficult but well worth the effort

We came here as a reward for doing a long stretch of the Bure Valley Path walk. The staff here are lovely – cheerful, helpful and very friendly. The tea is good and strong, and the lemon drizzle scones have to be tasted to be believed. And you can watch the fabulous trains come and go as you eat and drink. Highly recommended.

Let’s get the cons out of the way first.£10 for pie and mash in a school dinners style with a good pie but cold lumpy mash and veg with a slight. taste of washing up liquid. left on plates. Staff ok but ready to go home with a little bit of attitude .Small confusing set up on entry and not for anyone with mobility issues imo. However Pros it’s cosy nice atmosphere ok for tea and cake and light snacks.Friendly .

Aylsham is a cute market town where I had digs 40 years ago. So, we went on Market day for breakfast and loved this smashing cafe - full of life and bunting. We had full English breakfasts and coffees with toast and were set up for our journey home. The cafe is about 100 metres from the main square, is dog friendly and is wonderfully welcoming with a wide choice on the menu.

Having to visit keys auction house nearly every week. My visits have been made easier by having refreshments in little cafe in the grounds.Lovely Lesley looked after us consistently with delicious well prepared food.Personal care for Tobys requests and lovely chats.I had no need to venture into Alysham and I don't think I could have improved.Lovely cakes all prepared by her own hands. The bakewell tart is best I have ever tasted whole fresh cherries.Right I think I've said it all oh no all though I am not coffee drinker her fresh coffee is one best.

Have been a fan of Bread Source for a number of years. Today things just were not acceptable. Incredibly and unacceptably slow service. In the time I was waiting I was thinking of cutting my losses and going to Starbucks.

We had booked in for afternoon tea for 6 of us to celebrate my friend’s mums 70th birthday. They called to let us know that some items want not be available the morning of, so we agreed to go through availability when we arrived. The tea room is absolutely beautiful. Very quirky, with old doors upcycled into tables, and beautiful mis-matched crockery, which added to the cosy, intimate feel of it. The food was amazing. Brilliant range of vegetarian and vegan options. Plus, so many different tea varieties. The star of the show for me, was the Norfolk lavender scone, with clotted cream and lemon curd. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really couldn’t do enough for you. I’m so sorry I can’t remember the name of the lovely lady who looked after us, but you were fab. Amazing value for money, most of us left with our left overs in a box. It is dog friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I will most definitely be returning, as I had the best afternoon there.

There is plenty of competition in Aylsham for good bread, rolls and cakes but this is still our go to bakers. The quality and value is excellent and the staff are always very helpful ( happy to put rolls aside for me to collect later). I would recommend the cheese straws and rolls but the cakes are delicious too.

I visited here with my husband for breakfast. We had been to the Garden Centre before but not the cafe. The Garden Centre has it's own car park, which is large and has plenty of spaces. The cafe looks lovely. The decor is light and airy and they have bits and bobs used as decoration that you can buy yourself from the shop. You can sit inside, in a conservatory area or outside. We sat inside. My husband ordered a large breakfast, I ordered toast and jam and we got a tea each. You order and pay at the till then collect your own cutlery / sauces etc before sitting down. Lovely if there a re a few of you, not so much for a single diner who would return to their table to find it taken by others. The ordering process was SLOW. The lady on the till was quite flappy and it was painful to stand and watch her. It made the till area very busy as the queue to order was getting longer and longer. The guy making the drinks wasn't any quicker. There were about 4 tables ahead of us when we ordered. Despite this, the food came out very quickly (not a good sign). My toast was floppy bread with a slight crust to the outside. Not amazing bread made worse by not toasting it properly. It had the floppy, cold texture of those rolling toast machines you get in hotels. My husband's breakfast was a mix of being cold and lukewarm. It came out so quickly I think they must have bulk cooked food in preparation and kept it hot plated. It was so cold he couldn't eat it and took it back. After them just looking at him, they replaced his breakfast. Despite no apology at the till when returning it, the guy who brought the second one out was lovely and apologised. However, my toast wasn't replaced, not the drinks, so I had already finished my food before my husband's replacement came out so he felt awkward eating alone and it took the shine out of our breakfast treat. My husband said the breakfast wasn't great. The fried bread was just oily and nasty and the ingredients just 'meh'. The scones looked lovely and we got a couple to take home and to be fair, these were very nice. Looking at the cakes and other scones they had out, these all looked delicious too. The cafe isn't cheap. And the food isn't worth what we paid. The staff are unfriendly and appear very untrained. No one seemed to look like they were enjoying working there and the service was utterly shambolic. As stated above, the cakes all looked very nice so maybe this is somewhere to go for a nice bit of cake and a coffee whilst browsing the Garden Centre itself. We will return to the Garden Centre again as it is a nice place for plants. But for a meal, we would not return here. It was bad.

Lovely staff, a great drink and helpful free wifi. Previous reviews had been quite negative but it was clean and as any other starbucks would be
