My friends and i went to the red lion for drinks and were immediately pleased with the warm welcome from the staff behind the bar. Staff were attentive and provided drinks quickly. We were also very happy to have music playing out of the speakers! It provided a lovely atmosphere that made for a good time. Would definitely go back, lovely pub.

Second visit to this lovely, little tearoom. Cycled over from Worksop today and were starving when we got there. Arrived whilst they were serving Sunday dinners, so no usual menu on. The owner went out of his way and made us fresh sandwiches and a bowl of chips. Very pleasant staff. Clean toilets. Quiet and pleasant seating outdoors and good food. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you.

Went here for the bottomless brunch for our future son in-laws birthday. We were a little worried at first as it was busy and only seemed like one person was serving, it can often not be worth the money. However thankfully I was wrong. the young lady who served us was very timely and attentive. We have plenty to drink and the food was lovely. Lovely little place and service is outstanding 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Daventry. We will be back .

No hay menús, así que tienes que ir al mostrador a mirar el menú y te recibe una mujer con cara de piedra que espera que sepas lo que quieres inmediatamente. De todos modos, no dejamos que nos molestara. Pedimos nuestra comida, se sirvió dentro de un buen tiempo y disfrutamos de cada bocado. Fue tan bueno que decidimos volver al día siguiente. Llegamos a las 2. 30 de nuevo para ser recibido por una mujer de cara de piedra (alguien diferente esta vez por lo que debe ser un tema) para que nos digan que tenemos hasta las 2 . 50 . ¿Es por encargo? ¿Para comer? ¿Hasta cerca? Cuando se nos pidió que expliquemos nos dijeron que cerrarían a las 3 y ella empezará a barrer alrededor de nosotros a las 2. 50, pero todavía podíamos pedir y que han estado allí desde las 7 am como si deberíamos haber sabido y llegado antes. Solo estábamos en Nottingham porque mi hija está recibiendo radioterapia allí. Tiene ojos, es obvio por la calva de mis hijas que es pobre así que un poco de compasión podría haber sido agradable. Decidimos que no queríamos pedir, esperar por la comida y tener prisa para comer. Quizás si cierras a las 3 pm, deja de tomar pedidos a una hora en la que tus clientes puedan disfrutar de la comida por la que pagan un buen dinero. A PESAR de todo lo anterior (así de buena es la comida) , regresamos esta mañana porque mi hija quería un rollo de tocino antes de su tratamiento. Estaba muy ocupado, pero esperé en la fila de todos modos. Después de 10 minutos sin acuse de recibo, me fui. Una sonrisa va muy lejos. Lamentablemente, parece que ninguna de las mujeres que trabajan allí sabe cómo hacerlo.

Food is superb, service is excellent with attentive staff, been 4 times and never disappointed

Popped in here for food whilst we had a short getaway and wow, the bar food was amazing. We didn't pre book as we were not sure where we were eating but this place saved the day. It was very busy but got served in a timely manner and ordered from the bar menu. Had a good selection of olives, bread, cheese, and other savoury veg items that were lovely. Would definitely recommend for a quick bite or drink.

Myself and two close friends visited after a Funeral last week.We were impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere on entering the venue. The music was good.Our portions of food was larger than we expected for the price,the quality was that of a proper home cooked meal. I am not easily impressed but was very happy and satisfied after my visit. I will definitely recommend to friends visiting Gainsborough and will return whenever I visit again.

Muy buen pub con asientos al aire libre y una buena elección de cervezas. Comimos una comida de pub recién preparada y sabrosa, en las dos ocasiones que visitamos hubo una velada de talento y una la segunda música en vivo. Ecléctico, buen lugar divertido y amable con buen personal. Merece la pena una visita si usted está buscando una cerveza decente y una noche divertida.

Beauty of a deliveries to be able to drink it but - No straw !!!

Really pleasant place, nice place, super clean toilets pleasant smelling (unique for men's toilets) genuinely decent place would recommend.

Beer prices way too high! Neckoil and Gamma Ray £7 60 a pint. Asked the landlord why it was so expensive, he said "because people are buying it". I suggest you avoid going there until the prices drop.
