Donna and her team make the best poached eggs on toast in town. The coffee is delicious, with hot milk, and you’re offered a top-up just at the right time. Best of all is the atmosphere, with cherry music playing, the friendly chat and listening ear, and being looked after by lovely, genuine people. Donna is moving on to focus on her catering business ‘Newman’s’ (on Facebook) I wish her luck. She and her team made this the best cafe in town, and made a real difference to Maldon.

We like the bread and the snack food here, as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere inside and out. When we go it’s generally busy. Came down this Wednesday and saw the chalk board sign with new times Thursday to Saturday only. There was nothing about this on the website and we hope that it’s only temporary.

We have used sorrels several times including for our wedding and every time they have hit the spot with top notch food and service. we have now had our second 3 course delicious meal delivered to us by sorrels during these tough times along with several of our neighbours (at their own homes) last night we had a great evening, beautiful garlic prawns to start, the most delicious lamb shank with filled potato skins, green beans and veg followed by lemon posset with homemade shortbread. Our neighbours join in having food delivered to their door all safely and following the measures needed, and we just dish up the piping hot food, enjoy and leave the boxes and bits on our doorstep for sorrels to pick back up the next day. It’s like having restaurant food at home where you feel safe. Thanks again guys look forward to the next meal

Community cafe preparing freshly made food from a good choice menu. No frills but clean and accommodating. Popular requiring pre booking some days. We use regularly.

Había visitado el Cambridge Museum of Technology y dentro del recinto hay una cervecería y también un lugar para tomar una bebida caliente. Era un día frío, así que decidí que necesitaba calentarme un poco, así que fui a Kerb Kollective. Recibí un cordial saludo de la señora que me sirvió y mi bebida fue preparada rápidamente. We both visited this garden centre while visiting the area, although the building could be doing with updating I kid you not this place is well worth a browse for the keen horticulturist, you may just find plants that are seldom available in mainstream garden centres, we found the staff to be pleasant, attentive and helpful, it also has a small cafe/restaurant with ample parking.

Great food, quick service. I had a chicken burrito which was delicious and my partner had a salad. Definitely order from here!
