A lovely little pub with plenty of character. Really nice craft ale and friendly people. The beers change weekly giving us something different each week. They open Thursday to Saturday until 9pm.

Visited Keswick for my stag doo, fuelled the day every morning with a coffee and sausage roll from yonder. Both amazing! Best in town! The staff made us all laugh and had the best customer service. 100% recommend

This is the first place I head to every time I get to Rothesay. The best coffee on the island - no competition. Plus an incredible salted hot chocolate (I buy bags of the stuff to take back to London), plus amazing pastries and excellent soup for lunch. And Mhairi and her team are always good for a natter and to bring you up to speed on the island gossip and recent celebrity sightings. I also rarely leave without a new pair of earrings thanks to the Bonnie Bling range they stock.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Ivy Coffee House. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing lunch. I would highly recommend this café to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Maidstone.

This is a small volunteer run coffee shop and has great locally roasted coffee served in a variety of ways. The range of locally made Welsh cakes and sponge cakes are delicious. They also have a good number of pies and pasties also made locally and which can be warmed up in the cafe. On a Friday there’s a delivery from a local Artisan baker - you can order in advance and have the best Croissants and Pain au Chocolate for your weekend breakfasts . They sell out quickly. Ice creams and milk shakes are usually available too and you can stay and eat anything that the shops sells as well. The great advantage of being served by locals is that you can find out all about the locality and have real insight about what to do and what to miss! Many local people use the cafe and shop too so there’s always someone to offer advice or information( during my visit I overheard a local man reassure a visitor that he’d drop him off in Hay if he’d just wait a few minutes for him to get a coffee - he was going that way anyway! ) The shop stocks a surprisingly wide range of goods which is helpful for last minute needs and there’s a great range of locally produced cards. And there’s a super small play park next door ( with an Iron Age replica dwelling) and some lovely tubs of flowers in front of the shop which enhance the outside area. And the views from the park are stunning.

We stopped here for coffee before catching the ferry from Dover. Sunrise Cafe provides a caring and welcoming environment for the whole community. Staff were so friendly, coffee and pastries lovely and our 4-year old loved the colouring in! Thank you so much - we will be back when we are next back in Dover!

We came to Newquay for the day, and after walking along the beaches were longing for a cup of tea in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Having walked in and out of three places, all of which seemed dismal, my partner suggested we try here. It suited us perfectly as we were able to flop down on a comfortable sofa and share a pot of loose tea for two. It was good tea. The cafe is in a converted Chapel and has parquet flooring, lots of plants, nice tables and chairs, and space for children to play. There is a table tennis table and a small skate board track. I was really aback to see people whizzing around on it. It's mainly run by volunteers and all monies made ploughed back into the community. What a find! We looked at the menu though not eating and would definitely return for food here next time we come. I have to say it's really heart warming to see this Chapel being used to its full extent. It is depressing, I think, to find churches that are only used on Sundays and odd occasions

What a delightful find after fleeing Beccles where the food outlets were Weatherspoons, Greggs and cafes serving anaemic pizza. The Black Dog tasty delicious quality food and welcoming staff!
