Popped in for a lunch to break up the working day. I had booked but we were early and it was quiet. The cafe is gorgeous. Quirky design with a throne and swing seat. We ordered a tuna, lime and coriander sandwich which came with a tasty salad and crisps and the loaded nachos. Great quality food, very tasty and great value. The service was prompt and the staff lovely.

Went in for breakfast with my sisters and the food, drinks and atmosphere was just amazing to say we walked out happy would be an understatement! The scenery was just gorgeous felt like we were in heaven! The wee shop at the back of the shop was an absolutely amazing idea nothing else in Inverness would even start to compare to the experience we got Chit Chat (definitely my new favourite place)! The staff were so friendly and welcoming would 100% recommend and will be back in visiting again for another ruby hot chocolate!!

First visit was with my husband and daughter for a hot drink and cake on a cold and miserable day, everything we could have wanted. Second visit was with four other ladies from work after an intense study day. Not one of us could find any single fault, the surroundings are simply beautiful and provided us with the perfect place for a catch up, the food was beautifully presented and equally as tasty. Followed by a browse around the shop, local produce, crafts and so much more. So many nice quirky touches, the throne and crown was perfect for my little 'princess' daughter and the flower wall/swing looks the part. Already can't wait for visit three and four and so many more.

We stayed at Taigh Ailean for our trip to Skye. We also had the opportunity to eat dinner there (Breakfast was included with our stay.) The dinner was so delicious! The view is lovely as you can see the loch from the windows of the bar. All the staff is fantastic and so friendly! I had a great dinner and I would describe it, but the menu changes to suit what is in season and available from the sea. Whatever you get, I guarantee it will be the best! Make sure you call ahead and get a reservation as it fills up quickly. I know that they also have live music, which would be great, but we didn't have any while we were there.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.
