The best restaurants serving Mexican food in England

Really lovely healthy, fresh, hot food - delivered. Everything was really tasty. Chicken tacos, beef burrito, chicken burrito. Lots of fresh salad. We were spolit for choice. Check out the menu. There is such a wide range. Not just Mexican. We'll defo order again. Highly recommended.

Ozzi’s Burrito Shack is a bright and shiny new place, adding to the welcome influx of new restaurants in North Finchley. It offers eat-in or take-away, with a modest but sensible range of fresh Mexican dishes. The burritos are constructed with care in front of your eyes , using fresh ingredients engraving rice , black beans and a range of salads. The burritos are big enough to satisfy any appetite, but if you really feel like pigging out, supplement with nachos, plantain chips or guacamole. My criticism is that use an unnecessary amount of packaging eg freely give away plastic pots and cutlery, wrap all the burritos in foil even for eating in. Please care for the environment! It is informal, friendly and great value.

Disappointing portion control Watching the staff at Tortilla fill a burrito is genuinely baffling. They’re equipped with a ladle clearly designed to portion properly—but you’d think it was a delicate archaeological dig the way they barely scoop anything up. They’ll do two or three (tiny) scoops to give the impression they are being generous, then drop half of it back in the tub before anything even reaches your wrap. It feels more like a performance than food prep—and not a good one. Ask for a bit more and you’re either charged extra or given a token gesture, like they’re handing out gold dust. A full ladle of chicken shouldn’t be an upgrade—it should be the baseline. I get it—cost control matters. But there’s a difference between managing margins and short-changing your customers.

The food quality in relation to price has dropped DRAMATICALLY Shame...

Salt and pepper chunks are so tender with a perfect seasoning, chips were light and fluffy and was really affordable so I’ll be back tomorrow 😎

I recently visited Chipotle on Baker Street in London and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, just as you’d expect from Chipotle. The restaurant was clean and well-organized, making for a pleasant dining atmosphere. The service was excellent, with the staff being friendly and efficient. The manager, Mithil, was particularly welcoming and ensured everything ran smoothly. It’s always nice to see a team that takes pride in their work and makes customers feel valued. Overall, a solid spot for a tasty and convenient meal. I’ll definitely be back!
