The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Mexican food

Food is very yummy, would absolutely go back. Only issues I found is that there are different menus with different price points, and the jarritos drinks are expensive compared to other places in Edinburgh.

The portions are kinda small, but really good and the staff is really nice.

We called in for lunch and sat outside we only wanted a light lunch which was just as well because the portions are tiny you could eat each taco in one bite seriously over priced. Because we ate outside they were served on a polystyrene saucer, a plate would have been too big, with disposable cutlery. Other reviews rave over the food but sorry we found it really poor food and very expensive for what was served.

Only one person was serving at lunch time... 20 mins queue time for a portion of Tacos. So would not go back if in a rush... The food once I did get it was delicious though, still not sure it's worth the wait though

Always DELICIOUS, and such great service :).

The waitress (Asian, short lady) went up to us mid meal and told us not to use the menus as tablecloths. She then proceeded to lift our food up while we were eating and remove the menus from underneath. The table was so small that there was literally nowhere else to put the menus. If she felt so strongly about this, she should have taken the menus from us before the food was served. Very rude lady. However, the other staff seemed nice, especially the tattooed lady.

Sadly we didn't like the food. Wings 0/10 Burrito 7/10 Tacos 5/10

Closed down? Walked down the highstreet and couldn't find it. We think we found where it used to be due to colour matching, but the sign had gone and it was empty.

lovely fresh ingredients and great portions. beautifully seasoned meat and fresh salad, and the staff are brilliant, helpful and good craic. would definitely recommend.

Delivered the completely wrong order...

Taxi Cartel, a Mexican restaurant in Bali, offers delicious cuisine, but be prepared for slower service. Despite the wait, the food is definitely worth it!

Brownies were to die for!!! The chicken burritos were tasty however halfway through I found a string of plastic which put me off eating the rest which was a shame.

Good customer service and delicious food

We had a delicious meal here my husband got a burrito and I got the smashed nachos reasonable prices delicious flavors. Really good variety of fresh hot sauces, and salsa . They weren’t really good at substituting with the nachos. Even when I was willing to pay extra to add things, they said they couldn’t do it, which I thought was silly.

Update: Good to see location appears to have been shut down by Public Health. A Big mistake ordering from here. In October 2023, I ordered food as takeaway from here and fell violently ill within 1 hour of eating the food. Ended up being the worst food poisoning of my life for 2 weeks. I had to undergo treatment by antibiotics to kill off the bacteria. Public Health England investigators were in contact with me after my gp test results came back with such virulent strains found in my body, which caused the sickness. I still have the letter from the health department and the takeaway order details on just eats from 19/10/2023. Reconsider ordering from here - sadly they clearly are not concerned about health standards in their kitchen. They would likely have had multiple customers fall ill on the same day as me in October last year, and been contacted/ inspected by Public Health also. I still have ongoing health impacts 11 months later from this incident.
