This neat little takeaway just up the road from Farringdon was recommended to me and it didn't disappoint for my first real burrito. With so many options I had a regular chicken burrito with all the fillings plus a coke for £10. It was really tasty and very big so well worth it. I'd definitely go back to try one of the other options on the menu.

The reviews hyped it up and we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious. Massive portions, variety. Just go!!! Lots of different salsas, tons of toppings included. Chips are so good. Will absolutely be back!

Hidden down Hatton garden this Mexican is a nice little find. Good sized portion and very filling. Smokey chipotle I would recommend as even though it says hot it’s very nice and not overly hot with the sour cream.

Top in its category. Wonderful mexican food with veggie options. The chicken Daddy Donkey Burrito was fab ! Unusual/ unfortunate name- good job its Holborn and not Soho- would never order a Daddy Donkey there amd certainly not on a delivery ! Effcient and friendly staff.

Ordered on deliveroo a "Daddy Grilled Chicken Burrito" and paid for extra Guacamole. There was absolutely no Guacamole at all,sour cream, lettuce or cheese. With half the ingredients missing, it was bland and I was very short changed for £10.50.

Best burrito in town, trust me I have had my fair share! Go for the extra hot if you like your spice!

This is by far the best burrito I've ever tasted. I always go for the shredded beef which is so tender and I don't love spice so just opt for a mild. Although the queues are always massive, it's a testament to how good the food is - you are able to order online and just pick it up if you're tight on time. The flavour of the meat is lovely and there's so much packed in!

Went in the other day for a combo meal with the burrito, chips, and drink which came out to £11.50!! Girl at the til made a mistake when I emailed Daddy D they made mention of a refund or even giving my money back. Instead he writes that maybe I should make sure the new girl has taken my order correctly. I wrote back and he has "kindly" offered to return the additional money. Screw you and Daddy D. The last time with such crap customer service You ain't the only one selling burritos.

I order the Daddy D Burrito, it was wonderful. It did not look big but it was very filling and delicious. It is reasonably priced too. They also deliver which is convenient. Highly recommend.

I used to come here when they only had the van in the market. They now have a shop also. Always fresh and tasty, their burritos are delicious and you can taste the marinated meat. Be prepared to join the queue at lunch time, but the wait is worth it. There are some out door tables/chairs too. Certainly worth a visit.

Iv been coming here a lot since working close by. The burrito's are massive and everything looks and taste fresh, I personally get shredded beef and chicken mix with the extra spicy sauce and guacamole. One of the best burrito's iv had....defiantly worth a go.

Some of the best mexican food I've ever had, reasonably priced, everything is fresh. The Daddy D Burrito is by far the best thing on the menu, everything blends together beautifully.

Good place for lunch. There are loads of burrito places now but DD is definitely a cut above the more prevalent ones. Really fresh ingredients, friendly staff, still feels independent. Definitely recommend it.

Have ordered varied things here but unfortunately they won't entertain a double serving of meat (I'm a larger guy and I exercise a lot). If they did I'd visit far more regularly.

A very good, big and well filled burrito with a super fast service! The prices are not even high. So the perfect option for a fast but really tastefull lunch!

So I have an Burrito addiction and hunt London for great Burrito's to satisfy it.I was working in Holborn and came across this Gem in Leather Lane. Its truly the best, the portions are amazing generous, the Burrito's having a perfect balance of ingredients and spice and moisture. Amazing. The service is great in the take away with the staff super happy and helpful. The price is really good compared with other weaker competitors.The other day I walked 2kms out of my way to grab one on the way to a business meeting. Other competitors for the top burrito close by would be Benito's hat and Chillango's. Both are not anyway as good.A-maz-ing! More burrito's! yum yum!

Having tried a burrito here for lunch, the fillings were very fresh and tasty, definitely a recommended choice if in the area!

The lunchtime queue was long but the service very swift so didn't have to wait long at all. The menu is simple but allows enough variation (burritos/tacos/tostadas with selections of fillings, salsas and extras). I love proper mexican tasting food and this is pretty damn close to being at a real tacqueria in downtown Mexico City. Plumped for tostadas (3 crispy corn tortillas topped with black beans, carnitas, chipotle sauce, salad, cheese and extra guacamole) - around £6 but worth it. Now if only they served modela beer!

Have ordere a take away over the phone during the week and the order was ready in 15 minutes. Burritos were massive and ingredients were very well prepared. Overall solid choice for lunch. Prices for a burrito around £6-7.Can get busy at lunch (especially if there is good weather) so I suggest you call before hand

Read reviews on here about their burritos not being authentic and whatnot, but I have no idea what one made in the heart of Mehhhhico should taste like, I just know that my girlfriend and I thought these were great... so much so whilst she was absolutely stuffed, I went full fat boy and tried a second smaller one which I loaded with a different meat, flavourings a sauce. ;0)Good value, especially with a TimeOut card, would definitely come back, just wish it wasn't on the other side of London from where I come from, but it's not too far from Chancery Lane tube station so fairly easy to get to.Glad I didn't have the queue like on their website when I got there!!

Best Burritos on Leather lane, Farrington and probably London. It moved from food truck on Leather lane to a shop in the last few years! Gets very busy most days especially Fridays, so be ready to queue.

Popular street food truck from Leather Lane that's now taken on a permanent residence. I prefer the fajitas (peppers and onions rather than black beans) to the burrito but in general I find the food tasty and filling. On friday lunchtime the queue can be very long - most other days its fine.

Fantastic burritos - certainly amongst the best in London, plus nice staff and pleasant to sit at the windown and people-watch when not too busy (avoid the lunchtime rush!) - but why the extra charge for guacamole, jalapenos etc when everywhere else (even the blandest high street Tex-Mex joints) have them for free? It's a bit like buying chips and being asked to pay for the salt & vinegar!! Would go here more often but when the essential extras tip the cost of a plain (vegetarian) burrito over the £6.50 mark it makes me reconsider especially with there being an increasing number of alternative options on the street.

Lovely fat Burritos, with tasty fillings and choice of salsas. My local burrito bar in Oxford could learn a lot from these guys. Shame they're not open weekends or evenings :-(

A friend took me on Friday and we got there just before the lunchtime rush - the queue was pretty long after 10 mins.The choice is amazing and the size of the burrito is great value for money. I think I might up the level of hotness from medium to hot!

If you're in this part of London with a tenner in your back pocket and in need of a bite to eat, this must be the first port of call. I've been countless times and almost everything on the menu is a hit.Top marks on the atmosphere too, always seems to have an eclectic crowd, from knowledgeable locals to enthusiastic tourists.

Leather Lane is full of fantastic food. Daddy donkey started off in a small van on the street and has since moved into a corner takeaway shop. Best to get there before the lunch rush as it gets busy with long ques. You can order on the phone and collect if you time it properly. I love burritos and this place gets it spot on time and time again. The chicken actually tastes like chicken. What a place !

Despite the amount on offer along Leather Lane, the food here is consistently good. There are a number of variations or you can just order what ever you fancy. Burritos are a good size and not to expensive and I like the facility to order online from the office and then collect without having to stand in the long queues that are known to form here. A delicious option for lunch.

I passed this kick-bottom Mexican Grill on a daily basis whilst walking through Leather Lane market at lunch time and watied for nearly two months to purchase a burrito due to the fact I did not want to queue for 20 minutes or longer over lunch.I was not disappointed. I believe the length of the queue speaks volumes about the burrito served. The best veggie burrito I have ever tasted and the extremely hardworking staff give a good vibe too. This is my third consecutive day buying a burrito from Daddy Donkey and I now have a loyalty card!I highly recommend this establishment.

Super fast service, friendly staff, very tasty burritos, however they are a bit pricey. I don't think they have the best burritos in town.

Went here for lunch, the staff are extremely quick at getting your food to you, I was in and out within 30 seconds . I had the "Daddy D" with black beans, carnitas, Chipotle sauce and pickled jalapeños. It was nice and spicy, the Chipotle sauce was meant to be hot, and there's one level above that which I'm sure would satisfy anyone that's in the need for a quick spice fix! The pork was tender and full of taste, and there was a generous amount of jalapeños added as an extra.As far as cost goes, it isn't particularly. Cheap, but with the speed of service, and quality of food, along with a fairly generous portion size, I wouldn't say it was too pricey at all. Has a few tables ad chairs outside the shop which are nice for a sunny day also.All in all, good stuff, will definitely be going again!

I first came across Daddy Donkey completely by chance in 2009 when i was working for 5 weeks in Hatton Garden. It was a food truck back then, but this year has seen it move into permanent premises on the corner of Leather Lane and St Cross St. The good thing is it still has the same friendly but incredibly hard working staff and a decent choice of food on the menu. There is always a queue at lunchtime, which tells me that it is worth going to. There are a limited number of seats outside and a couple of bar stools inside if you want to sit - I would imagine these will be at a premium in sunnier weather.The food itself is great. I chose Tacos - you get 3 of them - which come with a choice of meat (I chose shredded beef) with lettuce,cheese and a salsa (there are again many to choose from - my selected variety was hot smoky) with a sour cream topping. You can also add additional toppings for extra cost. I didn't need to eat until late evening afterwards as the portions are huge. My friend's burrito was the size of a small county.It's not the cheapest, but it is not too expensive, and I don't work in London so am not used to their prices. This is the only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating from me. They deliver locally in the Holborn area as well. It's HIGHLY recommended. When I need lunch in London, this will do nicely!

I find it difficult to believe that Daddy Donkey have the best Burrito in town. Firstly - your meat, although tender, lacks in spice and seasoning. Secondly - a little squeeze of lime wouldn't go astray - your Burritos have little zing. Lastly - the staff need to learn what a smile is and then perhaps use it. I don't want a side of attitude when I order my Big D Burritto.

Consistently good burritos from the kings of Leather Lane. I work about five minutes a way and am often on Leather Lane at lunchtime. Whenever I visit I always tell myself to try another of the food stalls in the market but tend to find myself going back to DD. Massive portions, very quick service (queues are common though as it's so popular) and reasonably priced at £6. A shame that guacamole costs extra but other than that I can't really fault it.

I have often ventured down Leatherlane Market to get a Burrito from Daddy D. I feel the service is better and the food of higher quality than other Mexican food shops in London. There new shop is a great improvement and the price is comparable to anywhere else.

Queuing for about 10 minutes at 13:00 on a Tuesday - must be good and it was.Daddy D burrito with steak - moist tasty and just what I wanted - £6.95.Lots of other options in Leather Lane and this is one of the best.

Went here on Leatherlane Market for a friday lunch with work colleagues and have since returned. Really filling and fresh burrito.

I visited this place a few days ago, I normally enjoy burrittos and always wonder if anyone can make a bad one. This place has proven its possible, I qued for 30 minuits to get served by someone who I could barely hear over the loud rascist music they insist on blasting out. I got a tiny amount of rice, chicken and beans but a huge amount of salad, i felt like I had been robbed with the size of the burritto I recieved And when I tried to eat it I didn't enjoy it at all the chicken tasted disgusting the rice was cold and over half of it was tomato and lettuce. I thought a bad burrito was impossible but these grease gyspsys have proven me wrong and should take their caravan else where!

This is the best burrito in town in my opinion, ahead of Chilango and Chipotle which rank #2 and #3 for me, respectively. Try picadillo and tomatillo which are the best options. Get some extra guacamole as well. The significant downside is that they run out of everything in the course of the day -- don't even bother coming after 2pm as they won't have half of the ingredients (which is a bit ridiculous).

You can't eat in here because it's a food truck. It's very popular at lunch time so be prepared to queue. For about £6 you get a burrito with a choice of fillings. The flavour is a little sour for my liking. Whole foods does a better burrito for the same amount of money.
