Barburrito Bothwell Street in Glasgow City

Ordered takeaway from the Glasgow Hope Street branch last night. Not as we expected. Incomplete order, didn't receive churros and the nachos we ordered were tiny, no toppings and hadn't even had the cheese melted, nothing like the photos. The burritos were cold and missing half the filling. £30 wasted :(

idk what it is about this place… but lately every time i ate food here i got a stomach ache. i was fine before but now it’s quite bad even though i get the same stuff. service is okay. portion sizes are good. however tortilla is much better

I generally do not post bad reviews, because I feel bad for the business. However, this place was really very bad. The food was beyond bland and over cooked, really nothing is our burritos was done even close to a very low level “ok” meal. Chips were over salted, guacamole was stale and sour. I really had very high hopes as I enjoy this type of cuisine, but honestly it was a waste of a meal. The service was fine, interior is a bit beat-up.

Food was unbelievably great, staff were lovely all in all an amazing place to grab a quick bite to eat.

This was one of the tastiest eating experiences I have ever had! Such amazing flavours. Really good service. Staff were friendly and prepared my rice box exactly how I wanted it. Nice atmosphere too- would definitely recommend!

Came into town looking for a new hat where I stumbled a cross this fine establishment. Was greeted by a lovely bloke named Kieran, who radiated Cancer energy, so as a Capricorn I was chuffed to have this kindred spirit look after me. He asked what I wanted, and me being a novice in this business we call burrito I told him to surprise me. Much like the hat I had came into town looking for, the burrito was very warm, made me feel cosy and something I wouldn’t mind being wrapped up in! Then I was told the staff were having a dilemma, which was sad to hear, especially from my canceian comrade Kieran. And this was not just any dilemma, it was the GREAT DULCE DILEMMA! Brownie or Blondie? Now if you had asked me before I’d of said Brownie, no contest, but upon gearing up ready to undertake this challenge I found myself hanging on the Bar Burrito-phone in favour of the Blondie! I was the tie breaking vote! All round a lovely place, we laughed, we cried, and I made friends for life! I did however forget my hat x

We went here as a class trip to dine in and enjoy our time together. This place fitted perfect for us. We could choose whatever we like and sit down wherever we wanted to since there are so many places and it wasn’t busy at all. I would definitely recommend visiting this place to try out Mexican food and find your favourite burrito combination!!! This is a MUST go in Glasgow!🌯😋🤩

Staff absolutely uninterested in customer service. Apparently don't have the means to half a burrito in 2 and a guy dealing with a customer on the phone was utterly rude, said he didn't know who owner was or a phone no, then proceeded to express his displeasure in front of customers. Food has also deteriorated. If there're my staff they'd be looking for a new job

Absolutely gross! I have never eaten food this bad in my life. When I say eaten its not even edible. Even had to send the chips back because they were like bullets. So disgusting, no napkins and no salt and had the privilege of paying over 30 pounds for a burrito, 3 tiny wee tacos and a portion of chips. I think I'm in shock at just how bad this was. Will never be back and advise everyone else to go elsewhere.

So overpriced! Paid £19.50 for a burrito, chips and a cider. Burrito was luke warm. Chips undercooked and had to be drenched in salt to make them edible. Cider was the best bit of the whole experience and it was £6

Average burritos. Customisation is a good concept but lacking in quality.

The tacos were ridiculously small, and not worth the price at all. My friend had the burrito which was decent.

Giant, delicious and great staff. (NB the burritos were giant, not the staff!!) …..

Usually a big fan of Bar Burrito, but we got the toogoodtogo tonight and were served literally plain rice with a sprinkle of sauce on it. You can literally see the bottom of the tray as there was less than one scoop of rice. It was supposed to be 18£ worth of food FYI. I am very sorry but I could have bought a microwave rice for this price.

Bar Burrito is always quality. Quick, efficient service and top notch food. What's not to love? I like the seating area upstairs as its normally quiet and I sometimes go in to work from there whilst quickly grabbing some lunch or dinner. I always go back and always look forward to it.

Great grub. I got a good deal on a burrito & a beer (2 for 1). It seemed to offer clean and comfy surroundings to grab a quick bite with mates for lunch. I'll be back.

We stumbled across Bar Burrito with our three kids after another restaurant booking went wrong. My youngest son was so disappointed because he had wanted an Italy an meal but the staff were so wonderful and accomodating. Absolute first class service and the food was lovely too. We'll definitely come back

It was a good burrito. The only thing is that they close at 11 and when we went for our dinner at 10:20 it was “to go only”

Lovely Burrito, very polite staff!

Really great food! Decent value for money, burrito was well filled and the contents were all so tasty. Got a side of chips and guac, with a good size portions of tortilla chips (have ordered from other places and got less than half of what this place gave me!) and the guac was really good. Made a mistake whilst ordering where I selected Slaw and Pickled Onions as the fillings I wanted when those were the only ones I didn’t want, but my mistake didn’t matter as they were really tasty anyway. Absolutely will be ordering from them again.

The guacamole in the burrito was spoiled. Waste of money

Food was manky... plastic tasting chicken starter, chips were OK.... burrito was rotten..

Arrived fairly late on a Sunday evening, the staff were friendly and accommodating… ordered 4 burritos and drinks for myself and friends, and have no reason to complain whatsoever… queried were answered quickly, requests were acknowledged promptly, food was hot and delicious, and the accompanying beers were as cold as expected. Couldn’t recommend it any more!

Extremely mediocre, don't expect anything more than lukewarm when it comes to burritos, also pretty shady that bar burrito have multiple virtual restaurants on every delivery app with different names, so you end up ordering from them without knowing.

Ordered a burrito bowl...Food was ok but found it to be expensive for what it was.

Had tasteless and cold burrito for lunch. At least it filled the hole.

My ring was stinging the next day due to my jalapeño intolerance, but it was delicious as always.

Pretty tasty; friendly staff; however, substantially smaller a burrito than I remember from my visits to the Edinburgh Barburrito outlets - could be a case of shrinkflation, which is understandable given the circumstances. A decent selection of sauces provided at the end to make it as abusively spicy as you desire.

Had to wait while the server finished her conversation with her colleague. Then while taking my order continued her conversation while I'm standing waiting 🙄 asked if I wanted white or brown rice, asked if I wanted beans all ok so far. Then just said "what filling?" As I've never been before I wasn't sure so she rattled through them not telling me that the one I picked cost a little more. No big deal only 80p. I was then asked what other toppings, again not sure what to ask for and wasn't told what I could get with it. So asked for 2 wasn't asked if I would like cheese or any sauce. Which was a let down. After all that the burrito was slightly warm at best and not very filling. I will be going back to Taco Mazuma where they know how to treat customers and you get asked throughout each stage of the build what you would like and much much cheaper for more. All in all a very poor visit 2/10 will not be back.

Think the Subway delivery system for burritos. There is a nice selection of ingredients and a reasonable price.

Burritos are fine but don’t expect something super special. The vegetarian option in particular was pretty bad. The rest of the filling was fine. The food is also not warmed up before servings.

Disgusting - filthy and the toilets were a disgrace. Food stone cold, and £5.50 for a plate of stale nachos with a dribble of chorizo. Pitiful.

Great if you want a Scottish burrito, less great if you want a Mexican burrito. Stick to the spicy beef and spicy chicken if you want Mexican flavors. Other than that most of which they have is fairly scottish. Still pretty tasty though.

Poor service from uninterested and disorganised staff. Giving the mains over then keeping us waiting over 10 minutes for fries, and this when it wasn't busy. Really! If you want cold food it's just the place. I shouldn't have been surprised it was dead.

It's a decent place for a quick burrito. I'm not sure about the authenticity, but it's always pretty tasty. a bit expensive for what you get but fast, fairly wholesome, and service has always been friendly.
