The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in England

The only reason this has 1 star is due to the horrible service I received. I came with a reservation and was laughed at because they were extremely busy. The reservation clearly meant nothing to them and they did randomly seated people they saw. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated and 1 hour and a half for our food and drinks. Albeit the food was great, the appalling service overshadowed the experience. Don’t bother going when it is busy.

Waited an hour and a half for them to try and deliver cold food and when I called they didn’t care it’s a shame because I’ve been buying from there for a few years but won’t use again

This place is most certainly close, and not open during these hours, looks like they are doing a major renovation overhaul do not come here for food

Nice atmosphere and excellent quality of food for a lunch sitting. Good variety on the menu, and the portions were just about right. The service was initially very slow, however the servers were very friendly and helpful when they eventually arrived.

¿Cómo se mantiene este restaurante en el negocio? Casi caminamos por lo que parece tan deteriorado - y deberíamos haberlo hecho. Se pidió un gin tonic -venía sin gin tonic- solo agua de soda. Solo el precio del gin tonic era correcto! Se supone que las comidas de tagine vienen con verduras y tienes media papa y dos rodajas de zanahoria. El personal no es alérgico. Sobreprecio, bajo entrega. No te acerques.

The eatery was virtually empty at 3:00 pm. We were seated promptly but was left waiting for over 30 mins. No one came over to take our order. The kitchen lights were soo dim, that you would question if it was the front of house staff were warming up the tapas on top of their front of house responsibilities. After 40 mins of waiting and hearing a lady complain about the food being tepid we left. I’ll be sticking with the branch at Bluewater.

Muy mala cena asada. La comida ha bajado cuesta abajo. Caro y realmente malo Pollo seco y pequeña cantidad. Las papas sabían viejas y recalentadas. No hay verduras horrible salsa. Lo sentimos, pero es posible que necesite invertir en mejores chefs para justificar sus precios

The most incompetent takeaway I have ever experienced. Missing items from order, call up and they say they're busy and forgot them, not sorry at all. It was an order for 2 people not 10 it was incredibly basic and it's a MONDAY. You aren't that busy. I saw the negative reviews and thought we'll let's see for myself, don't bother, wish I didn't.

Service was very quick. Food was very good. Our waiter Jihad was very efficient and friendly!

We’ve eaten here a few times over the past few months. It’s always been disorganised, but the food has made up for it. Last night - Saturday- was disastrous. There appeared to be only two members of staff working in the restaurant, which was virtually full. We (a family of four) sat down to eat at 5.45pm. Even checking in was a struggle. The desk wasn’t manned, staff literally running from bar to restaurant. Another couple also waiting to be seated said ‘this doesn’t bode well’. We managed to order reasonably quickly. There were several large tables and (apparently) two functions. The starters of two garlic breads came fairly promptly, but were soggy and undercooked. Our mains were sat at the restaurant pass for some time, under heat lamps. My fish and chips was cold and the chips inedible. My son’s sausages were also cold and his chips inedible. There was no check back by staff - they simply didn’t have time - so we left most of our food. It’s such a shame that Oakman haven’t staffed the Woburn properly. It’s a great venue in a great village, but it will be a long time before we go again. Ironically they emailed a survey request to my husband this morning ‘tell us about your visit!’ From past experience, this is futile.
