Tapas Revolution Stratford in Newham

The eatery was virtually empty at 3:00 pm. We were seated promptly but was left waiting for over 30 mins. No one came over to take our order. The kitchen lights were soo dim, that you would question if it was the front of house staff were warming up the tapas on top of their front of house responsibilities. After 40 mins of waiting and hearing a lady complain about the food being tepid we left. I’ll be sticking with the branch at Bluewater.

Absolutely dreadful. How they call this tapas shameful. Staff are terrible, and the food I assume is microwaved. Not much on offer and what is, is poorly cooked. No taste. The owner being Spanish, pretty famous etc should be embarrassed. Close the place, dreadful!

Absolutely appalling service. Waiter had no idea of the menu spent 35 minutes debating what cocktails were on special menu. Barman was just as clueless. Gin sorell had enough peppercorns to cover 20 steaks. Sat on bar so long ice was melting. Place was empty but service was painfully slow. Toilets were out of service and only the disabled working which they kept locked. Tapas was okay but portions small and cheap ingredients. Won’t be back.

The ambience in this place is great, the single member of waiting staff when we visited was lovely and the food was great, HOWEVER my mum got super sick the night of our visit and that’s the only meal all day that we ate different things so take from that what you will…

Popped in while waiting for our taxi to collect us. Thought the waitress appeared annoyed at our arrival which wasn’t a great start. Only had a cocktail and squid dish with what I assume was an alioli sauce on the side. My friend also had the same dish. I didn’t finish mine as the alioli tasted odd. When I got home I felt so sick and had to go to bed because I hoped going to sleep would stop the feeling of wanting to throw up. This morning I found out my friend who had the same dish was actually sick. I wouldn’t step foot in tapas revolution again even if you paid me.

We stopped here for lunch whilst exploring the Olympic park. Firstly we thought the place was closed but upon entering that all the diners were sitting at the back of the restaurant. Decor is nice with a hint of Spain 🇪🇸 but the music did not enhance the atmosphere. Drinks were ok. The olives were really nice and the chorizo and black pudding was excellent. The rest was average. The cod was overcooked and in general the portions are small. The squid rings were overcooked and tough. After speaking to our waitress she kindly agreed to remove them from the bill. Lunch cost £76.28 of which £28.95 was for 4 drinks. 12.5% service charge. Food was not worth that.

Nice chilled out place staff helpful and friendly only had a drink but did see the food on the table next to us and it looked lovely.

Should have guessed when walked in at 1pm on a match day and the place was half empty Only one draught beer on offer, food arrived at the table before the drinks ( two of which were wrong) The servings were very small and of poor quality. The service was poor. For what was provided the cost is expensive. Thankfully there are plenty of other options at Stratford and we will use an alternative at the next game

Early Monday evening solo visit as in Stratford on business. Helpful staff, nice food and good vfm - what’s not to like. Recommended

The atmosphere was pleasant, the music was good, and the food was tasty. My waitress - Libby - was so helpful and welcoming. She made great recommendations for food and drink. The cocktails were the best I've had in a long while.

Came here for dinner after attending the London Stadium for the athletics. Appreciate it was busy in general around Westfield and we hadn’t booked. However we were informed there would be a 30 minute wait for food, which we were happy with. However two couples were sat down after us and one of the waitresses went to one couple (sat next to us!) and took their order, didn’t acknowledge us. We tried to get someone’s attention, but nothing. We were sat there for 15 minutes and not even a drink order was taken so we walked out. We saw a couple of staff seen near the food area talking and cleaning cutlery yet other tables to be served. Certainly won’t be coming here in future.

I was there for my birthday for a quick lunch with a friend ... nice restaurant ... good food, since it is close to home and not the first time we go there ... fantastic staff even with an allergy to coriander like mine ... everything was fine until it came time for the bill and because of several mistakes by the manager she ruined everything ... my friend wanted to pay for the drinks but instead the manager only counted half of our drinks. ... then we asked to split the bill in 2 and while she said yes with a mocking smile he makes one person pay for everything .... my dear both my friend and I work in hospitality .... and the The only advice I can give you is: next time, even if the restaurant is empty and there are only 2 or 4 customers, they too are important and instead of wasting time playing with the phone, concentrate on what you are doing ... as playing with people's credit card a lack of respect .... shame on you ....

My first disappointment was there was no albondigas. My second disappointment was the manchego y membrillo, was served minus the croutons because they had run out. This was not advised before bringing the dish and no substitute was offered or suggested. The food was average but the waiting staff were charming and the Rioja was good.
