Mashwi in Luton

Used to frequent Mashwi whenever I would come to Luton, I'm afraid to say that the portions have decreased in size and the sauces have become more watery.

my order is down as delivered when they called me and said they didnt have what i wanted and told me i was going to have a refund.

Half hour late verry poor service

We did not get drinks with our order! Terrible service, portion size just about enough for 1 person. It was meant to be enough for 2 ,it cost £17.50. Would not recommend to anyone or ever order from here!

Standard gone down unfortunately from what it used to be. Tend to forget items frequently

Delivered exactly when they said they would, the food was amazing and the portions very generous. Will definitely order from them again.

food was over 45 minutes late - they only had one delivery driver which is crazy on a Friday. also food didn’t taste as good as it has done before tasted like it was rushed

Food was rushed didn't taste as good as normal. Took 2 hours to be delivered after I ordered. Usually good service, maybe won't order on weekends again

Horrible service. Called to add in extras but the person hung up the phone. Ended up doing another order of Shawarma and Taouk wraps from Desert Rose.

Delivery took an hour and 15 minutes, when the food arrived it was cold. I paid for additional sauces, however, they were not delivered and I was still charged. I rang the restaurant and they said it was not on the order even though they still charged me and it was on my order confirmation. They were happy to take the additional money but offered no solution.

The food is lovely but the service is abysmal..the last three orders have been an issue..the 1st i in my received 1 Sharmwa wrap when I ordered 2..the second was over 40 minutes late and today 30 minutes late and I called them 3 times but no answer..i also specify each time no salad or sauce in wraps and every time there is salad..also the chips are always cold..i have now had to contact just eat as 3 times in a row is not good..i have requested a refund

Food was delivered 35 mins later and I had to ring the restaurant twice to chase them. When it finally arrived the sauce had fallen all over one of the bags. To top off the food was not nice at all, let's just say the lamb was so chewy that it was inedible and the shawarma was one of the worst I've ever had. Disappointed is an understatement.I certainly won't be ordering from here again.

It took 1.5 hours to deliver then one item was missing. The delivery guy gave a refund of £3 and left without saying anything. No apology, no explanation for the refund, nothing!

It was gd food not gd restaurant service and delivery was ver long nearly 1hour and a half but food was just gd because the lamb was very under cook so jewee and hard it was.

We ordered a selection of vegetarian starters, bread and rice. It wasn't very expensive, and the food was delicious in generous portions. It felt quite healthy with lots of vegetables and not too much oil. Would definitely order again.

Considering how good this place smells when you drive past, the food is really substandard, and was cold. Was hoping it would be like Efes in Dunstable but was really disappointed!

I ordered food to be delivered 2hr later as I was travelling home, this was ignored and I had a missed call telling me that the delivery person was standing outside my door. When it was finally delivered it was 15min late Good food but need to keep to delivery times

That's by far the best chicken marinaded grill you can get. the portions are huge at very decent price. Very child friendly and full of options for meat eaters. Few vegetarian side dishes.

This is the first time I am ordering from here. Apart from being disappointed when I ordered on the web site that straight away they emailed and texted me to tell me the food will be delayed by 30 mins and also in one of the bags some sauce leaked,everything else was good. Ordered 2 chicken shawarma mixed with rice and fries, Hummus with bread and vegetarian platter. We enjoyed the food it was quite good but not the best.

Had the worsttttttt experience. Placed the order at 7:50 pm and havent received the order for 2 hours. And after receiving the order , the irony was the Order was incomplete. Very rude staff. DONT GO DONT ORDER TAKEAWAY AS WELL. Worst pathetic ppl.

I visited the resturant with my family for a birthday. We used to absolutely love mashwi. The served such tasty food at a good price. Ive heard the resturant is under new management. My recent visit here wasnt so great. We ordered our usual family platter. I noticed it now comes with less meat. The adana kebab used to be my favourite however it did not look apatising at all, I actaully spat it out after one bite. The lamachun also had the same kind of meat inside and that was disgusting aswell. They have changed the way they make the meat making me want to puke when I try it. Everything else was just ok, I didnt enjoy my experience like I usually do. I shall not be revisiting

They made my order wrong, forgot food and when i called up they said they'd refund me £1 for chips. Chicken wings were cold, the mixed platter lamb meat was dry and the wrap was soggy. AVOID

Always always late.. This is not the first time I've ordered food from this restaurant.. They are terrible when it comes to delivery time. I waiting for an hour and a half for them to delivery from a distance of less than half a mile. Very disappointed

Love this takeaway. I was worried that my food would come after hour as I had ordered late but instead of suggested time of 9:15 my order came around 8:30 so we had dinner on time. Food was perfect.

Food was over cooked and arrived late so it was obviously cold so not impressed.

Poor experience and I certainly will not be ordering again. The food was of a low standard, with bone pieces in the sheek kebab. I ordered a portion of arayes lamb and received two pieces of bread with a sliver of lamb. The sauces were watered down and not worth the price. Had better elsewhere.

Food was okay, meat was nice but the rice was plain! Massive portions, one meal has more than enough rice for two! Not happy with the delivery, was ordered and told I would have 1hour to wait, they even added on 10 minutes, so it worked out perfect timing for when my partner was getting home. It came within 20 minutes which would normally be fine but as I did select the time I wanted, was annoying, and my parter had to reheat his food. Wouldn’t return just due to not being blown away by the food.

Grilled Mediterranean cheese served on a bed of hummus - definitely didn't taste grilled and came in a box on it own. No bed of hummus. Ordered a grill mix ... £9 for a box of rice and a couple bits of meat. Should say - rice served with chicken/shish. Mint tea was refunded as they didn't have any cups. On the plus side the salad was nice.

One more time I didn't receive my order. Second time in the same day. I can't believe in this. 2 order 15.80£ each all together 31.64£ and I didn't receive any food and they didn't give my money back.

Never ordering from here again, only when the food was 45mins late and I called to see where it was, the woman on the phone had no idea and asked if I had accepted the order?! Called just eat and they were useless after finding out from them that they had no fish (part of the order had fish) and therefore they were unable to deliver, asked to speak to a manager as I wasn't happy they put me on hold and walked away. Laughable service on both sides, I will be promptly deleting my account one the review is done.

JUST ON DELIVERY: be prepared to have a delivery for 1hr 30mins, I had to cancel my order because I didn’t want to wait this long, they kept adding minutes to the delivery time I ate in this restaurant before, their food is nice, nice atmosphere, they should just stop doing deliveries.
