Ordered food last night. Chips were half full freezing cold and tasted like burnt grill. The chicken was disgusting worst food I've ever ordered in my life. Even the sauces were flavourless and water. Worst kebab place in luton! Avoid!

I've been coming to charcoal for years, I've has relationships blossom then die, I've had family lost, friendships broken tears shed but through it all that beautiful garlic and chilli sauce on the juicy chicken was always there for me, picked me up when I was down and made me feel it was all okay, I love charcoal with my heart and soul.

They are so disgusting sorry to say but they all are illegal immigrants. The staff looks so dirty like they never had shower. I saw the blue tissue was deep in to a sauce and the guy there he took it out with his dirty hand and serve the same sauce to the customer. It’s so disgusting and there are big rats in there kitchen this restaurant needs to shut ASAP

I have been a loyal patron of Charcoal House for several years, but my recent dining experience has left me disheartened. The food quality has taken a noticeable nosedive, deviating significantly from the exceptional standards I once cherished. The dishes, which used to be a symphony of flavors, now lack the depth and richness that initially drew me to this establishment. It's evident that there has been a decline in both the preparation and the quality of ingredients. Regrettably, I've decided that this will be my last visit to Charcoal House. The charm that kept me returning has been overshadowed by a noticeable degradation in the culinary experience. I hope the restaurant can rediscover the excellence it once boasted, but until then, I won't be returning.

The morning stuffs are good but the surian guy Amar doesn't know how to deal with customers and he keeps watching in his phone when the customers waiting and this is not professional

Excellent service. I forgot to add chips to my order and it was already ordered on Uber eats but I called them and they added it on free of charge. Regularly buy from them and it’s always delicious.

Ordered two portions of large chips and some halloumi sticks. The sticks were halved so I got 1.5 sticks with a mediocre (but more flavour) lettuce on the side. Asked for mayo with the chips and I got spunk.

I already know the restaurant and have received very good service, but this is the first time I have ordered delivery and I was very disappointed, I ordered the Deulce Platter,did not come chicken shawarma,the chicken wings were all burnt,Lamb shishi I was burning too, really disappointed with the delivery.

My chicken burger tasted awful- bun was soggy underneath, standard salad chucked in and is not described as the menu indicates e.g, missing tomato, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup. I asked for no onion and they added onion with red cabbage which is not on the description either. Overall burger was cold and arrived an hour and a half late! Would not recommend and certainly not worth the price!

Horrible. Ordered a simple lamb shish at 12:20 . At 1 am I finally received my order, it was wrong. Was given chicken instead. Dude got it all wrong. I wanted lamb and bread. I got chicken with some foul smelling onions. I have had diarrhea since 2 am now, just an hour after eating. Believe the negative reviews, this place should be inspected by the health inspector. The cashier was smoking his vape WHILE CHARGING ME. Unbelievable.

Bought food from here yesterday evening. Within 4 5 hours it's all come back out. Me and my children all vomitting. Don't recommend this place hygiene clearly ain't great at all. Don't know how long they have prepared the food for and left for days to re heat. Very disappointed.will defo be putting a complaint in to hygiene standards and council. Honestly people seriously think twice before purchasing food here. Food poisoning isn't something nice to deal with especially with little children and and pregnant misses

I cannot recommend this place based on our visit today. The mediocre food combined with the rude and unprofessional customer service left a sour taste in our mouths. This is the worst eating place in Luton! reason being as follows: the service is totally unacceptable. Servers in front doesn't know how to serve customers , rude behaviour, bad personal hygiene as well . Food was below average , under cooked and tasteless. Charcoal house is just off the pedestrianised area in Luton town centre. We chose a King Platter and Lamb Chops. Our plates were stacked so high I couldn't quite clean it, which is pretty unusual for me. So many flavours and so much choice. It's always nice to find a gem like this it made my day.

Absolutely rubbish! Missing item and rang the place and they just ignored me. Won’t be ordering again

Where to start… this place used to be amazing from food, customer service the works. But recently they have gone downhill, from hygiene, food quality and especially customer service. This is based on the last two times going back to this restaurant. Let me explain Two weeks ago I visited for an eat in experience with a friend we did arrive 30 mins before closing time. We was told a lot of the meat has sold out and what is left in on show is remaining I asked twice just to make sure with regards to chicken shish, he mentioned it’s sold out and they none left. We placed the order and waited our food, after 15 mins the worker came out with extra meat. When I asked him what is this you mentioned it’s sold out he said this for me and not for you. I was shocked on his statement. Today which will be the last day I set foot in this place I ordered via the phone and arrived at 20 mins as per the worker’s instructions. I arrived and was greeted by the previous worker who had a miserable face and felt very uncomfortable . I asked for the order he said we don’t know what you are talking about. He then came to mention the previous time and said he’s not joking I am coming just to complain. Please can you explain this to me if anyone comes to order food as the food is not ready what does he expect at cost. Unless they change this. Avoid this place they need to learn manners and respect. Management take this serious employe people who want to work not to look like they are forced to work.

AVOID NO MATTER WHAT!!! Most of the recent reviews with 5* looks fake. From the bottom of my heart I've had a terrible experience with no customer services. I am extremely disappointed with the food it arrived cold, no taste what so ever. Non of the staff member came to check up on us. Team of 5 - x3 T-bone steak - arrived cold and dry. (No steak knife) X2 discreet platter - meal with rice which were cold. If there was an option to put 0* I would! PLEASE AVOID SPENDING YOUR MONIES THERE!

What a disaster of a place. First of all the food has gone downhill really fast. Second of all the customer service is appalling. It does not matter how busy you are you cannot be rude to the people that are giving you business! Always moody miserable workers and the food no longer tasted fresh. Food is always great, good portions at good prices so I cannot fault that. The massive let down in this place is the service. Just to get acknowledged by any staff in there you have to wait at-least 5-10 minutes, even when it’s quiet & I mean that literally. They can literally look towards your direction and won’t pay you any attention. You actually end up spending more time waiting for someone to take your order or waiting to pay than actually eating your food.

My Honest opinion I'm applauded by the food and service from this place it’s gone beyond down hill first the delivery arrived an hour and half late, I’m shocked at the food portion was small it came so cold the rice was off didn’t even taste fresh & was in clumps of hard rice the chicken was rubbery and the salad smelt completely off it came along with watery sauces I couldn’t even eat it I had to bin it what a waste of money don’t recommend even ordering or eating from here again. .

My family and I had a really nice Lebanese meal for lunch. Seating area is small, we were six people and a few more customers. We ordered the mixed grill platter which came with Lamb Chops, Kebabs, Rice and Salad. We had a really good time. Food was delicious and affordable.

For just £8, the portion size was so considerate! They also didn’t skimp out when it came to wrapping the food and ensuring that we’re eating in our own comfort!

Yesterday (26/04/2022) night I went to charcoal house with my friend to have dinner. I was a regular customer in Charcoal House and their customer service was good but yesterday one staff named Yasin (name won’t be proper he was wearing black collarless T-shirt) behaviour was very rude and unethical to me and other customers and he was on video call with some one while he is working in the food preparation area which is not hygienic. All other staff members behaviour was good. I have been visited this place several times and my experiences was good. But that employee spoiled all the brand value that I build in my mind for the restaurant. The food was amazing Small feedback for the employer: You need to give that man proper training regarding the hygiene, respectful towards customers and teach him some manners. "Always remember customers are the most valuable persons in your business"

Rude and arrogant , no customer service skills , was asked to leave when I asked them how long is the wait considering I been there for 20 minutes waiting and he was like I’m busy, as he was too much into his Uber orders than the customers in shop which matter the most and should be priority. I got a chicken shawarma meal from here and dined in. The shop itself is quite small and compact; there's not much seating space. I saw a staircase going downstairs and some customers were going down, only to come back up again within seconds, so I'm not sure what that was about. Perhaps there could have been toilets there, but I'm not too sure. The staff were yelling across the store to each other, so the atmosphere was not calm or relaxing. The food arrived quickly. The chips were a tad too salty for me and the sauce that was in the wrap was extremely watery. The bread became very soggy and it was hard to eat as it broke. I don't think I'll be visiting again any time soon.
