The best restaurants serving Mediterranean food in East of England

Found this place by accident and so glad we did. Great food and service, reasonably priced will definitely go again.

I had the pleasure of eating at Vonnies Balkan Express. Delicious veggie somun went down lovely. Would highly recommend you experience the cuisine.

We had a lovely birthday celebration with superb food from Sabor Espanol. Padron Peppers and crochettas to start - with a delicious tortilla - and then paella (mixed seafood and chicken and vegetable) with a side order of pistou. All finished off with a lovely cheesecake. All was cooked to perfection- lovely flavours - add wine for a perfect evening ! Thank you SO much. 10/10.

So glad Brentwood now has an amazing Chef. Every dish here I cannot fault. Fresh, tasty, well presented. The whole team are lovely. Well done.

Lovely Turkish restaurant, this is our favourite one so far!! Food is amazing, service is really good!! I ordered grilled mushrooms and the salmon fillet. My boyfriend ordered crispy battered prawns and chicken shish. He loved it!! I tried a bit of his chicken, tastes so good!!!!! Rice is soft, the salad is flavoursome and the salmon is beautiful!! We are 100% coming back here!!

Excellent and tasty food. We ate with my friends and we thought that we were eat in Greece.we tried gyros if course and it was fabulous...greek salad ,tzatziki ,mousakas and kleftiko were so tasty ..very clean and tidy place too...for sure I will be their best customer...easily recommended.

This is our third time here we just love it. The food is absolutely delicious the ambience is cosy, lovely spots for families and friends. Absolutely recommend. Out waiter Volkan was excellent and very professional.

Nine of us dined here lunchtime today. The food was delicious, plenty of it and extremely tasty. The restaurant was busy but our servers were wonderful, they were very attentive and accommodating to our every need. The cost of £12.99 for two courses was amazing. Would definitely recommend, the restaurant. Perhaps next time I may even try a cocktail or a mocktail! Many thanks.

We tried Taz for the first time for dinner today. The waiting staff were amazing. The food was excellent we had octopus for starter and it was one of the tastiest dishes we have eaten. The mixed platter was well cooked everything was so tasty. We will definitely be back

Tishka gets a full five stars from this happy customer! We were on a vital mission: securing some proper breakfast butties (that's Yorkshire for 'edible happiness between two slices'). Tishka nailed it. The service was so efficient, they could probably butter toast blindfolded. The food was simply outstanding – proof that sometimes the best things in life are just a perfectly executed butty. And the price? Let's just say my wallet didn't need a lie-down afterwards. Top marks, Tishka! You've shown that even something as humble as a breakfast butty can reach for the stars.

Thank you so much everybody why made our evening with the delicious food. The restaurant is not so attractive from the first glance. But the food quality exceeded all our expectations. We tasted all sort of sea food which was cooked with big diligence. We were completely full with the big portions, but we will back tomorrow to test their desert as well. Our special thanks to the restaurant chef.

Well decorated, comfortable venue. The waitress was attentive and cleaning constantly. We went for the £55 meal for two which had plenty of tasty meat all piping hot and includes a glass of wine/beer/soft drink each. We had an additional desert which was £7 and a coffee which was not only just £3 but very well made to the point I had to tell the person that made it. Will definitely be returning with friends.
