The best restaurants serving Italian food in Lowlands

Restaurant was pretty full, but still managed to squeeze us in, amazing food and service, definitely will be back soon!

For a treat we ordered deserts from Sadie’s, they were delivered by the owner, what a lovely girl she is and WOW there deserts were delishious and we will certainly be ordering from them again

Wow I am scone snob! My mum bought me on on recent visit to Peebles and wow it didn't even need butter! A fruit scone with plenty sultanas. Lovely!

We chose the premium rosete menu for a special birthday and it was flawless - sous vide salmon and filet steak cooked to perfection! Every element was delicious down to the peas. Rob is friendly and professional, would highly recommend!

One of the absolutely best kebabs in Scotland. Long open, fast and with really LARGE portions. Much advised for any hungry travellers in Lockerbie.

The 1st place I always try to eat at in Dumfries. Great food and really friendly staff. Just a hit or miss if you can get parked out side

We eat at The Pheasant quite often, despite it being a 30 mins drive from home. Great homemade Italian food using local produce. Indulgent puddings. Pity it’s closed between November and March

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, good food and service.

I have had some good Italian food but the balsamic and small details in the food are great. The wine menu is okay but this is a little town and would it be worth it. Dessert was good too, personal choice would be sharper lemons on the cheesecake, but that is just me! Well done! Great food and you know your market.

Spent hogmanay in here and had a lovely meal and night. There's lots of wee nooks and crannies to this restaurant and we were seated in the back area beside the log fire which was fantastic. Two portions of mussels to start with and then my husband had a salami and olive pizza and I had smoked salmon penne. Food was delicious and service excellent, this is our second time in this restaurant when we are on holiday in moffat, if we stayed local I can safely say I would be in here all the time

Visited recently during the week and although really busy the food and service were outstanding. My partner is from Edinburgh and couldn’t believe how reasonable it was for the quality of food we were served. She can’t wait to go back. Fab u Lous
