This is the second time we have visited this restaurant while holiday to Annan what can I say the food is superb and the staff are very attentive best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been in

What can I say staff were of high quality could not fault at all and the meal was appsurtuly delicious went with my dad and brother as a belated birthday present for my brother will definitely be recomenting to more family and friends and the hubby. So a big thanks for making our time here brilliant 😊.

Annan's best restaurant comes up trumps again. Most people love Italian food, and over the years La Fortuna has offered a high standard of delicious Italian inspired dishes in their quiet well run eaterie. Always a pleasure and always a treat.

Fabulous food and service. Would definitely recommend a visit here. Staff were lovely and the meal exceeded expectations. If in the area it’s a must visit and we will be back, if we are in Annan again .

Always great food and friendly service. From the starters , through large range of mains ( special of fish and ravioli is #1) , to the light tiramisu at the end.

This really is a delightful restaurant. Great food, excellent service and really good value. We always make a point of booking a table when we visit Annan and we look forward to next time.

When you try and go for a meal at 8:45 and only to be told the restaurant is closed. The closing time is 9:30 and I think it’s scandalous that it’s promoting the wrong time. I will take my business elsewhere.

Had great meal in a relaxing atmosphere and lovely efficiient staff . Would recommend , very good value .

We both had mains. Pasta. Very nice, tasty. I’d prefer with any pasta to be offered Parmesan cheese, my only gripe. Red house wine was very drinkable. My wife had the cheesecake dessert, looked and tasted great. Very cosy setting.

Very good food, served by pleasant efficient staff. A popular venue for all ages. Good menu selection.

This unassuming restaurant above a chippy is a little corner of heaven! My partner, myself and our son went and had the early dining menu expecting it to be small portions and standard food but we were comepletely wrong. The food was amazing! It was fresh and tasty, the portion size were great and it was extremely good value for money! If you’re a chocolate lover get the Nutella Fritelle for dessert, you will thank me later.

Been at La Fortuna quite a few times over the year, excellent food and services really good menu and the layout is brilliant, I will go back.

Visited this little ,quaint establishment in the market town of Annan .Stands alone in its delivery of freshly made produce ;from the thin ,delicate ravioli to the delightful ,airy , sumptuous tiramisu .Well priced with emphasis on food quality (Fresh Fish well recommended);unhurried service served in a friendly manner

We got the half and half pizza pasta deal which never disappoints. Lovely food, excellent prices. Such lovely, polite wee waitresses out front. Will be back! 😊

A choice of all the usual Italian favourites, well cooked pizzas. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. We ate here while travelling north for a holiday in Scotland, Annan is a nice alternative to stopping overnight at a service station.

2nd visit made on both occasions 1st class service from the girls and meal was gorgeous compliments to the chef puts a well known hotel nearby on A75 to shame. The family all enjoyed. WILL DEFINITELY be back well done guys well worth a tip..

Saturday early evening meal. The food was lovely and service quick despite restaurant being busy, good value for money too, only small issue was they didn’t offer a second drink so my husband had to go to bar and ask. Will definitely be back. 🍝

Just to say visited La Fortuna Tuesday night and had a great meal with good service from the very young girls helping to run this Italian restaurant in the centre of Annan. They were well trained, courteous and kept the place spotless and the food...

Best pizza in my life aswell as fast service i reccomend this if you are in the area and looking for a nice tasty and cheap place to eat.

After reading the reviews from this restaurant we thought we would give it a try. we arrived early evening, my first thoughts were that the room was cold, unsurprisingly the waitress was trying to warm herself by the portable gas heater. the waiting staff were pleasant enough and took order for drinks and food quickly. the decor was dismal, dated and the lights hanging from the ceiling (probably LED's) made everyone in the room look positively anaemic. the starters were fine, but the pizza bases were soft, white and soggy. not sure what type of oven the pizzas were cooked in but i would be very surprised if it was a proper pizza oven. I think nowadays it is reasonable to expect pizzas served in an Italian 'restaurant' to be cooked in an authentic way. To say i am mystified as to the other customers reviews is an understatement, however i have no reason to think they not being 100% honest as i am.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, the food was cooked perfectly. The staff were brilliant too managed to fit us in on a Friday night despite not having a reservation.

Was here at the weekend . Food was very good as was the service . Nice atmosphere and surroundings. For an enjoyable dinner without too much travel its a great option. Apparently Emilio frequents this place too, so it must be good.Well done to the owners your a great example to other businesses in the town.

Really lovely place. Food is always gorgeous, staff are always friendly, and is very fairly priced. Best to book as it sometimes gets busy, but is an fab little restaurant.

We’ve been twice now for a meal in the past few weeks. On both occasions we have had a good experience. The menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is cosy as the restaurant is quite small. Would recommend a visit.

We were staying the night in Annan and looking for a pleasant evening meal with our granddaughter, although upstairs which might be a challenge for some the ambiance was excellent, service and food excellent, in particular the cold meats starter for 2 very generous.

Found about the restaurant online and decided to give it a go .really enjoyed our visit with the food excellent although my partner ended up with pizza after ordering chicken with mushrooms but put it down to a misunderstanding when ordering . I had tempura prawn then Seafood pasta both were excellent and fairly priced. With neither of us having a sweet tooth we give dessert a miss but a cheese board would certainly add variety to the menu .overall well worth a visit again.

Made a reservation at the last minute on a Thursday evening for 6.30, managed to get in no problem.We arrived a little ahead of time and were shown to our seats, drinks order taken within a couple of minutes and menus left for us to peruse.The restaurant is Italian and has a good vegetarian option along with some Vegan options. Trish went for the Mushroom brusciatta followed by mushroom risotto, I went for mussels in a garlic creamy sauce and then the linguine de mare.Our food turned up within 15 minutes and it was perfect, both courses fresh, hot and plentiful in fact we both had to leave a bit of our mains in order to squeeze dessert in.We opted for Tiramasu and Italian flag ice cream for dessert, again all was perfect.In terms of price £70.00 for two three course meals and four large glasses of wine represents excellent value for money. The service was attentative yet discreet at the same time, staff were very capable and friendly so much so that for the first time in a very long time I left a tip...and finally the toilet test, they were spotless, top marks.

Staying in Annan for a few days and we had this restaurant recommended to us. It was excellent! The restaurant itself is well laid out and comfortable. The staff very pleasant and efficient and the food was excellent! Would highly recommend you visit!

We have visited Annan quite a bit over the years and have seen one or two Italian restaurants come and go but this really is different class and hopefully will be a fixture for many years to come. The food, wine,service and value for money were excellent and it exuded a 'big city vibe' of sheer quality which was a particular delight in such a small town. Five stars all the way.

Visited whilst staying in a nearby b&b.; Excellent meal and good value. It's up some stairs which luckily my wife using a crutch could manage.

My wife and I have eaten there on a number of occasions in the past and its been a while since I wrote my last review as Trip Advisor only allow you to write reviews after three months from your last visit. We called there last night with friends for dinner and we weren't dissapointed at all, the food was fantastic along with the service and the price. The staff were so attentive and asked if everything was OK with the meal which I like to see, we can't wait to go back

Staying at a local caravan site and wanted a nice meal. Found this place booked a table of 6 and food was excellent. Garlic mushrooms are incredible and the cannelloni was the best I've had in a long time . All of us were really impressed even the kids!

Celebrated my birthday meal at the restaurant whilst we were in Annan on holiday. Everything was amazing! Couldn’t fault a thing, wish we lived closer!!! The lasagne was the best I have tasted.

Characterful upstairs restaurant in the centre of Annan. Full of charm. Good range of excellent Italian dishes to suit everyone's tastes. Delicious food, beautifully presented. House red lovely and smooth: recommended. Warm welcome and friendly service made this a memorable evening. Highly recommend. If we lived nearer, we would become regulars!

Visited La Fortuna for the first time last night. This restaurant has changed hands a few times, I vowed never to return after the dreadful meal I had under the previous management. La Fortuna is a different kettle of fish all together..thankfully!

The food here was great and portion sizes are very large - so if you want a pudding dont have a starter :) They also cater well for children and I loved the fact that they removed a seat to put the highchair in at the table rather than just stick it on the end of the table. We would definitely go back :)

been to la fortuna a number of times over the last few months and have yet to leave disappointed. The staff are excellent, always seem to recognised by the big chap who's behind the bar and always comes out to chat and make sure we are alright, rest of the staff are lovely as well making us feel welcome. Food as always is good, hard to find somewhere as good as this.

This was our first visit since this restaurant had changed hands and were not disappointed, our party consisted of 12 adults and 4 children and everyone was extremely happy with their meal, we picked from the menu before we went so everyone’s meal was ready and the service was spot on.... well done

This was our first visit to La Fortuna,as we had heard so many good things about it we had to go,and I love Italian food.The food was great,service was great. Lovely atmosphere definitely worth a visit.

New Years Eve meal went down a treat - This is the first time that we've eaten at the Fortuna and we were blown away with the quality of the food, it was fantastic. The service that we received was first class and it was nice to see staff coming to the table to ask if everything was OK and offering to keep topping up our glasses. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends & family and we will certainly be going back in the near future. We also found out that they have a 'Happy Hour' menu up to 18.30 were you can order a variety of meals at a lower price, we will give this a try before going on our next trip to the cinema.

We loved dining at this family run restaurant. Great food, great staff and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend eating here. Our son particularly enjoyed the fritele Nutella- a must have for anyone with a sweet tooth. Can’t wait to go back again,

Overall the food cannot be questioned. Excellent food and priced well. I don’t often find service an issue but our wine bottle was delivered to the table and just left, not even opened. With my pasta I was not offered any Parmesan grated cheese which is key to any pasta meal. So service was highly dissapointning but the food enabled a good rating.

We noticed this restaurant above the Cafe Royal liked the look of the menu displayed outside so we thought we would give it a try, so glad we did. Very friendly service, seemed to be a few regulars eating although it has only been recently opened. Food was delicious. We would not hesitate to come here again. Only slight problem is the flight of stairs up to the restaurant if you have any mobility difficulties.

This place is a gem in amongst a worn down annan, visited previous restaurants that occupied the space but this one is far by the best! Staff are very friendly, the young girl taking our orders and the big chapter behind the bar was great.

We stayed in Annan one night only on our way through and what a tired looking town it is. We were pleasantly suprised when we happened on this restaurant as the meal was delicious and judging by everyone elses plates, they thought the same, presentation was great and the staff very friendly and attentive. What a breath of fresh air.
