The best restaurants serving Italian food in Scotland

I’ve been going to Vittoria’s for over 5 years now. It’s my goto with my family for friendly service and wholesome Italian food! The new renovation really adds to the atmosphere.

So sad it's closed. Been visiting for over 40 years. My favourite Italian bar no . Visited Edinburgh when ever I could to call on bar Italia. So sad

My friends and I all ordered the lasagne followed by the choc fudge cake. Portion size was inadequate as was the slither of choc fudge cake. All tasted delicious on the other hand.

This is a gorgeous restaurant with a rustic Italian feel. The tables are nicely spaced apart and the decor is lovely. The food was amazing, my wife had the ‘best lasagna of her life’ and the skewer with various meats was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend it. I’ve taken off a mark for the owner berating the staff for ‘too much cutter chatter’ infront of customers. There was no need, the young inexperienced staff were lovey and friendly and the girl with the red hair was running the show wonderfully.

Italian food that really taste like Italian food, great staff, good wines and nice ambience. Eat there 3 nights :-)

When in Edinburgh always go to this chain, but screwed booking up on website, thought booked the Walk, but on arrival the Bridge Staff could not have been more helpful, sat at bar and eventually table found. Excellent food, great Italian Wine and happy servers, especially Leo. For a taste of Italy this is the place, the makeover cool

We found this restaurant on Google when we were visiting Edinburgh for an overnight stay before flying to Barcelona the next day. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious, we can highly recommend a visit for some great tasty food and very good service!

Very disappointed with the service, 1 waiter in particular was very rude, not a relaxing atmosphere, background noise was unbelievably loud, felt we were being rushed to get out, presented with bill before we had finished our desserts !!! Will not be back.....

First time visiting this restaurant. I had a plate of pasta as fid 2 others on our party. One had fish and chips. We had wine. Recommend you buy the bottle of wine as per glass it's expensive. Food was tasty but can't rave about it because I felt it was all too expensive for what it was. Very busy for a Tuesday evening and you def have to book - which contradicts my review as obviously a very popular place. There's a busy ambience - even midweek. It's the type of place you would want to pop into regularly for an informal plate of food but, in my opinion, it's too expensive for that purpose. Unfortunately I wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be to ensure return.

Went to this restaurant before we went to the football game. From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted with a friendly man who guided us to our table. Once we had ordered, we didn’t wait long for our food, which was fresh, hot and a good sized portion. I hope no issues with the restaurant. I’ll be back again.
