Really cool, welcoming bar serving up potent cocktails and the usual drinks. Food looked like hearty Italian fayre, but we didn't try it on the day. Maybe next time. Highly recommend the Gentleman Rico

Great night out with my family, we all loved it.

Been looking forward to trying this place but I got the beef shin ragu and really wanted to ask for salt or something to add flavour. The sauce was just quite bland and whilst it looked amazing and staff were top notch I don't think I'll go back. My sister ordered the pumpkin pasta and had similar feedback, quite gutted as I really wanted to enjoy it but it was mediocre

Our first time going here but my daughter has been many times, definitely didn't disappoint. Food was very good, big portions. Actually one main course could have done my husband and I especially after having the starters. Have no photos as I don't take photos of my food...I like to dig into it 😂

I visited here last night with a friend and everything we ordered was delicious. So much flavour. A real gem in the Southside.

The pasta was divine and we went on a Wed which turned out to be a deal of a pasta and glass of wine for £14. Brilliant!

Genuinely one of the best restaurants in Glasgow. I would recommend the porcini & parmesan pasta, absolutely insane. Pictured is the prawn and monkfish linguine which was excellent also.

Took my girlfriend for her birthday. The staff were super nice. I asked to put a bottle of prosecco on the table for our arrival. You would be amazed how many times I have asked for this at specials occasions and they have not followed through. Food was spectacular. I had the monkfish. Was the business. My partner adored her charcuterie starter. The portions were great and the gorgonzola was of a high standard. Drinks were nice. Solid Negroni. Place had a great atmosphere too. Would highly recommend for any fans of Italian food. Contender for best in the city. Brilliant evening.

Our favourite place to go. Amazing pasta and cocktails! Love that there are several great vegan options that gave been carefully thought through to be just as delicious as the rest of the menu and definitely not an afterthought. The drinks list is also great and we're never disappointed by the cocktails on special. 10/10 service. Good overall vibe. You need to book well in advance to get a table and you can see why!

The food, cocktails, service and atmosphere are all top tier. If you’ve never been, definitely go here. The only downside is that the menu is small and hadn’t changed in the half a dozen times we’ve been. We would love to see what else the chefs here could do.

A lovely wee place. Very reasonably priced. My wife and I enjoyed olives and foccacia for starters to share. We both had pasta for mains. I seriously recommend the Prawn and Monkfish Linguinne. It was amazing and very generous with the amount of fish and prawns.

Excellent Italian in Glasgow. Beats a lot of place in London I’ve been to. Service was friendly and attentive with water consistently topped up. As someone else has said, the pasta portions are large so you could share one between two. More value for money! Definitely go here, you wouldn’t be disappointed. Thought I was in Italy for a minute, until we left and it was raining - course, it’s Scotland!

Cocktails? Good! Pasta? Good! Service? Good!

Been twice now, it’s a nice place. The food is fine - classic Italian stuff done well. Staff are lovely. Nothing out of this world. Service a bit slow which is normally nice but they ask for the table back too quickly. Gets too hot - needs ventilation. The cocktails are more exciting than the food.

Fabulous service, lovely food and delicious cocktails.

Only criticism is they're going with a 90 minute table policy. It's not a great idea, feels a bit rushed. Maybe try adding another 10-15 minutes. Part of a good experience is not being rushed out of a place however great the staff are about it. Still giving it 5 stars because it's a brilliant place, food, tunes, drinks, and especially the staff, are all top!

The staff here are amazing. Asked us what our dietary requirements were as soon as we sat down and then talked us through the menu accordingly. Cocktails were excellent and a little different to elsewhere. Food was AMAZING. Will definitely be back

Food was sensational. Staff were amazing. Vibe was really cool. Nothing to fault in all honesty. Pasta Pomodoro for our 18 month son, delicious and he devoured the lot. Burrata starter to share; delicious and creamy. Lasagna and Pollo Milanese mains.....pasta al dente and sauce rich in flavour. Really cool vibe for dinner and drinks with friends, or early family dinner. Recommend 100%

Just this morning I was saying the last few Italians I had eaten at were lacking in atmosphere and depth of flavour while also having poor lighting strangely. Bar Vini does all three of those things perfectly. Such a great atmosphere even though it was quiet. The lighting was perfect and I couldn't ask for more from the service. A beautiful interior making great use of the space. Everything they were going for is just bang on. The food was excellent. Large portions of great tasting well prepared food. Not much else I can say. I had the beef shin as recommended by the nice guy at the bar with the fedora. A special mention to the fedora man too who did a lovely job recommending food and drink. I will be back and I'll be telling others to visit soon too!

We went in on Xmas eve. Staff were great as was the atmosphere and tunes . The cocktails were on top and the food was delicious!!! The menu is small, but what they do, they do it great. Will defo be a new fave for us😊

6 of us where in yesterday the food,ambience, music and service was excellent. The young guy serving us was very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks.We had a great time and most definitely will be making this a regular venue to visit. Well Done.

Food was sublime. Portions if anything were too big. Could be a few more options on the menu in terms of mains, but everything else was superb. Cocktails and the barmen were 10/10. Serving the cocktails with some napkins at the bar would be a nice touch *sticky tables*

Strange location, but regardless great feel to the place inside, good food and good drinks. Definitely an Italian to finish in the southside of Glasgow.

Just phenomenal! We were lucky to spend an evening in Bar Vini last night and it was perfection! From the cocktails to the service to the food and the vibe! The staff are just absolutely sensational in this place and I rarely have experienced such an enthusiastic and passionate team! Bar Vini had such a New York vibe and feel to it that we were transported to Lower Manhattan for the evening! The food was authentic Italian scrummyness! Just the best night! I have booked already to go again next Saturday! A truly special place in Glasgow!

This is our favorite place in Glasgow - or at least in top-3. The food is delicious, and the cocktails are a work of art.

The service was fantastic, especially the tall lassie with the blonde hair (sorry that I didn't catch her name). The atmosphere was pleasant, the restaurant was busy with most tables occupied. I was left feeling underwhelmed about the food. The appetisers weren't to my taste (but no big deal) and the king prawn anti pasti dish was drowned in oil. The prawns were well cooked though. We decided to go elsewere for dessert.

Cocktails was surprisingly good. The carbonara pizza was of another league.

We ordered some dinner and cocktails on Saturday night. What a treat! The food was so tasty (especially the carbonara pizza) and the cocktails were delicious. The service was great from ordering to collecting - highly recommend! We'll definitely order again.

Really nice food from a small menu. Staff were great, in unusual times, and the 2 hour booking window was plenty of time for an enjoyable evening. Really appreciated the lockdown takeaways in the last few months and will be back.

An oasis in the desert! Lovely!

Offer a great range of carry out food, wines and cocktails while the COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Visit them when they are again operating as a sit-in restaurant for authentic modern Italian food.

We are regular customers (before and during lockdown) and we really look forward to our weekend visits that help make lockdown bearable. Comprehensive social distancing measures have been in place since lockdown began and hand santiser is always available at the till. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the cocktails (our favourites include the bourbon old fashioned, negronis and mango mai tais) and the bagels (but you gotta get there fast before they sell out!). We also really enjoy getting some delicious vegan cookies from HoneyTrap Bakery (based within the same premises) and a takeaway coffee to compliment One of our favourite Southside haunts :)

3rd takeaway under lockdown and again excellent food, cocktails and really friendly service! Can't wait for a time when we can sit in.

You could easily walk past this place and not realise the treat you'd be missing. The word authentic comes to mind rivalling the better Italian food easily. Small choice but you'd still see enough you'd want to go back for and try. Quality ingredients that speak for themselves. Really nice place, comfortable layout and a passionate owner.

Visited Bar Vini for the first time last night for my birthday dinner. Absolutely loved it! We had the pasta and wine deal with some foccaci. I had rigatoni with aubergine and ricotta and my partner had the many layered lasagne. Both dishes were amazing and the bread was delicious. I had an Aviation cocktail which was lovely and we also had coffee and an ameretti dessert which was delicious too. Will definitely be back!

I loved the atmosphere in Bar Vini. Staff were friendly and really helpful. The decor was nice. They have a great selection of wines and the cocktails were delicious. Unfortunately we found the food disappointing. My pasta was very bland with only a few bits of the advertised guanciale through the dish. Three of our company ordered the same dish and were given wildly different portion sizes, one being quite small and again it lacked seasoning. However, some of the group had the lasagne and said it was delicious and we were given a small plate of the ravioli to try which was tasty. Definitely a mixed bag here.

Cracking independent wine bar and restaurant on Glasgow's Southside, with an excellent wine list and super friendly customer service.

Maybe the best meal I've had in Scotland. Unbelievable, changeable menu that Warren, our perfect waiter, walked us through. Great cocktails, music and setting. Giulia's Panna cotta is the best our party had ever tasted. Might fly back to Glasgow for this place.

Amazing food, drinks, service and interior

Ideal place for a quiet glass of wine after work. The antipasti was so good we stayed for dinner! Had a lovely chat with the owner who talked us though the origins of all their ingredients - couldn't have asked for a better evening. Will be back soon!

Most threatend iv ever felt in a place of buisnes. The bar table service is a plesant novelty. Not worth it if you have to interact with the owner.

Had lunch here on Sunday with a couple of friends and it was utterly amazing from start to finish. The food is delicious - lovely mix of antipasti and traditional pasta dishes. Wines are wonderful. They also do happy hour between 4 and 6 where you get snacks with your drinks. The staff honestly couldn't do enough for you - so, so attentive, friendly and knowledgable. They even brought me a herbal liqueur to help me get rid of my hangover from the night before! Inside it's decorated beautifully and has a lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and will be highly recommending it to everyone! A little piece of Italy in the Southside :)

A break from the usual mainstream Mediterranean setup... If you’re looking for great, authentic Italian cuisine but also willing to try something new in a cosy and friendly environment... Bar Vini is the place to be! Be prepared to wait on a table at busy times but it’s worth it for the delicious food and staff were on the ball!

We've been here a few times now and always have a great experience. The food is incredible. The staff are knowledgeable, passionate and friendly. We took our two children (6 and 9) who both loved their pasta and "cocktails". This is definitely our go-to place in the south-side now and we're recommending it to everyone we know!
