The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Food and service was extremely poor. Had to ask when the main meal was coming as we had waited such a long time. When the food arrived it was poor. My granddaughters Lasagna tasted strange, she did not eat it and I had to send my salad back, it was swimming in oil. Offered another option but when asked how long it would take told the other customers would have to be served first…..? So two hours later I left the restaurant without anything to eat. Will never go back.

The service was wonderful. Staff were great. It was the menu change that was very poor. The old menu was much better. The chichen was dry and a little tough. We didn't really know what to order. We were disappointed as we go quite often. I don't think we will go again. I'm so sorry.

Courtney our waitress did everything she could to make our visit enjoyable for our daughter’s birthday and we thank her greatly she was such an attentive lovely girl. Unfortunately tonight there was only 3 waitresses on which seems ridiculous as it’s during the summer holidays. A family came into the restaurant and started to cause trouble and there was no management around to help these young girls out, the family was following Courtney around the restaurant hurling abuse. I offered to help remove them from the restaurant and I also called the police. As an ex waitress myself I really felt for these girls tonight, management need to be on the floor not in an office or off site. Absolutely disgusted .

Visited in a group of 7 on Saturday night at peak time of 7.30. The place was full however we had first class service from Angus who was attentive to our needs and clearly happy in his job - nothing was too much trouble for him. Multiple different choices for starters and mains but all arrived smoothly and together. My meat balls starter and the main of chianti pasta ragu were both delicious. We had a good table in a corner away from the hustle and bustle which meant that we could all chat during our birthday celebrations - Zizzi were very happy to serve the birthday cake that we took along and Angus was pretty good with his singing of Happy Birthday. 5 star and highly recommended.

I love the Salt & Good because you get to pick any type of food from another country like Italy, etc. It was a very cool experience and I would definitely recommend this place.

It once was a nice Italian chain-restaurant with a good kitchen which I visited every few weeks. Sadly that has changed dramatically over the last few years. Gone from good to bad to worse. Unfriendly waitresses, soggy, overcooked spaghetti for £18, and a salat I wouldn’t dare giving to my hamster was the upshot of my last visit. It will remain my very last visit. The manager did his best but not even he could save the evening. The restaurant is a poor shadow of its former glory. It’s a shame what greed can do…

Bit late reviewing but I went for my 40th in February. As my Dad was unwell we couldn't travel very far Only a couple of other tables in and a limited menu but absolutely no complaints at all. Had a lovely meal, didn't need any more choice. All the staff were lovely. Really enjoyed it and glad we went

We’ve been here several times and it never disappoints us.The beef lasagne is to die for and is the nicest we’ve ever had. It’s very local to where we live and the he prices are very competitive in relation to other places.Keep up the good work guys!

service wasn’t great. felt like we were forgotten about, when we asked other servers for assistance, they forgot to pass on messages to our server or when our food came, we asked the waitress for this and that and it never arrived. drinks were ordered and they never arrived. it was quite disappointing. food was nice though, everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. lots of choices on the main menu. disappointingly, the desert menu does not have many options for dairy frees or vegan. there is only vegan mint chocolate chip ice cream which isn’t a great substitute to add to the other menu items so i wouldn’t rush back in a hurry for the desert. i really hope it was just a fluke as i was really looking forward to it. i wasn’t blown away though which was a shame.

No es nuestra primera visita, pero no volveremos por un tiempo. Ajuste: bueno - aunque la música no ahoga el sonido de las personas que maldicen dentro de sus conversaciones (que nunca hemos experimentado allí antes) Personal: bueno - parecen tener poca experiencia. Nadie hace contacto visual. Aunque es bastante agradable. Órdenes no del todo bien, pero aún así bien. Comida: media. Pan de ajo con mozzarella, no muy bien. Las aceitunas no llegaron. Gambas bien. Mains: risotto encantador, ravioli de langosta bueno, equilibrio de carne de cangrejo para langosta, muy abrumador con cangrejo, filete pobre. El filete en sí era un hermoso corte de carne, pero medio raro, no sale seco, ni una gota de sangre por ver, solo un ligero interior de rosa. Bebidas: vino horrendo Postres: solo pedí helado para mi hija mayor, demasiado, pero bueno tienen que justificar el precio supongo. ¿Qué ha pasado con Rocco? Lamento decir que no es lo mismo y que no volveremos pronto.

Well where do I start? Absolutely awful service and food! Had high expectations and it was just grim. Was half way through a starter before getting offered a drink. Waited a long time, then was served cold food. The chicken was black on the inside and outside, was not edible. Large twig was found in soup. Lots of bay leaves left in food which is just sloppy and disappointing. I am writing this review from the bathroom as I have been vomiting, violently. DONT BOTHER

Absolutely disgraceful, 4 hot chocolates were 68 pound!!! The hot chocolate was cold and was dripping down the cup. Way too expensive, service was so mean shouting at us saying if we are not a client we can't use the toilets. So we sat down and then served us 4 cold chocolates and then left without saying anything!!! I wouldn't recommend this place I hope this place gets shut down.

Really delicious food, which tasted really fresh. Our waitress Natalie was so so lovely. Really happy, full of smiles and couldn’t do enough for us (including making our desserts!!) she made our afternoon so much better. Thank you Natalie. My little boy thought you were great and he loved the chocolate ice cream!!

Great place for a drink and watch live music staff helpful and friendly lots of choices and some good deals too

Prezzo and managers Can't stand cheap food over priced for everything I will be not going to any other Prezzo in my life hope they all shut down! Can't call it a restaurant! I will be happy to leave you no star
