Pizza Express in Wandsworth

I am very disappointed, the restaurant is great, food delicious, restaurant service very good BUT 3 home deliveries recently - 2 of very poor quality, hardly any tomato puree on the bases, minimal pieces of extras, 1 short a piece of the ginger cake and the food was cold both times. I have reviewed both experiences, one through UBER EATS and have never had a response which is very disappointing.

Food was cold. I had barely any garlic dip. They also forgot my extra dip I ordered. The egg was not runny and spinach was not nicely spread across the pizza.

Great place to go with children, especially with the offer "1 pizza for £1". Great prices for drinks, cheaper then in a pub. Amazing app, so easy to use and pay as well.

Been coming here since our teenagers were old enough to try the Piccolo menu. Never disappointed and still the kids favourite. Lovely, friendly team.

The food was cold, pizza not sliced, really not up the standards, didn’t even look appealing, very disappointed .

We decided to celebrate my younger sisters birthday at your pizza express branch. Unfortunately the service was quite unusually slow considering it was not busy when we placed our order and pasta dishes were extremely disappointing. The pasta was undercooked and the sauce for the carbonara was separating almost curdling, as if it hadn’t been made or prepared properly. However despite this, our amazing server Bea along side another young gentlemen (I didn’t manage to catch his name!) were so patient and accommodating and made sure we had everything on the table and Bea went as far as sorting out the food I was unhappy with and allowing me to change it for something else on the menu. Honestly our servers were so caring and attentive, anyone that goes to this branch will be met with nothing but the upmost respect and kindness from all staff, the only downside was some of the dishes and the slow service.

I had a very nice and crispy American hot, the service was amazing from Carlos and we had a good time. I will be definitely coming back to see him again.

We had a dinner there yesterday due to beautiful weather it was quite busy i liked my pizza my wife ordered something new on the menu it was prawn pasta but it was too spicy so she could not even eat it but manager changed it quickly with something else it was so nice of her very good customer service most of the places they dont care about it . for that reason we will be definitely back

Absolutely disgusted at the attitude of the workers at Tooting Bec Pizza Express Wandsworth, especially one European waitress who was absolutely horrible, just because i usually ask for a little bit more sauce on the pizza for my daughter who has special needs and likes a saucier pizza(i offer to pay). I am paying £8 for a tiny pizza and four dough balls with some butter and a small drink. Come on, where is the customer service? This woman rudely told me to calm down and sit down and would not serve me although I had a collection order but she carried on serving others including Uber drivers. To tell you the truth I was already calm, but I was just asking other waitresses if I could have a little more sauce. I then spoke to the manager who was almost defensive of the woman who had been rude. She asked why I don’t come into the restaurant and order there if I have a special request, to which I answered that it would take longer as i would then have to wait, when i dont have much time to be away from my daughter. Beware- they usually never answer the phone, no matter what time of day. They made me wait half an hour to change over from garlic butter to normal butter and put a dollop of extra sauce on the pizza. They still made me feel uncomfortable with the rude behaviour, especially the one lady who clearly needs to be shown the door. Although it is around the Corner, I will never be going to this Tooting PizzaExpress ever again and I will also be warning others off. *iI had a reply back from these people who have made it out that they always cater to my needs, but the slight change that i have listed has never been done by the team in question. Also, being busy (mostly with deliveries) is no excuse to be rude and unhelpful.

i waited over an hour for my order and the food was luke warm when it arrived. tried calling the restaurant, and someone kept picking up the phone and then hanging up. Very disappointed at the lack of customer service.

I don’t like the bustling of courier motorcycle drivers (helmets on) hanging around inside the entrance. Restaurant Management not interested. This scenario understandably scared my children and I won’t be coming back here

This is the Best Pizza Express I've visited So Far and was a Gem with it's Cosy and Comforting Conservatory, Amazing Staff......Bliss!! Now To the Food......I had: Starter - Dough Balls Al Forno IT'S BACK! Oven-baked with a tempting trio of melted cheeses for those who want more: mozzarella, Cheddar and Gran Milan Pizza - Padana + Chicken on Romana Base Goat's cheese, sweet caramelised onions and spinach combine with mozarella, tomato, garlic oil and red onions in a feast of great tastes and textures This pizza on any base includes a discretionary 25p donation to our chosen charity, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Dessert - White Chocolate & Salted Caramel Pizza Dolce Where pizza meets sweetness. Our dough, baked until golden, topped with white chocolate and crushed Biscoff® biscuit, drizzled with salted caramel sauce and topped with gelato All Washed Down with a Coca-Cola Zero and Tap Water. After i placed this order I was stuck on the processing stage of the order for an hour and then I searched up the restaurant and found out it was closed I then got zero messages about my order and attempted to cancel the order several times but was charged full price to cancel my order and then much later it arrived cold and of poor quality I demand a refund

Food and drinks are fine, staff are friendly but it does seem like the focus on delivery means the table service is a little slow. I’ve been a few times over the past couple of years and my only fault is the slightly slow service.

Food came cold … when you heat pizza or dough balls, they change completely… hard and gummy. Also one box of dough balls had 8 and the other one 5 … why don’t you have that information in your menu ? Previously I have ordered from Putney and had no issues… I’m not going to order from Wandsworth anymore. Thanks

Why have pizzas gotten so expensive these days? Eating out in general has in general but I've been coming here on and off for years and the food is certainly good enough. I also really appreciate the amount of natural light coming in which gives it an openness.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY USING THIS BRACH OF PIZZA EXPRESS! CHEF DOESN’T HAVE A CLUE. If I could give 0 stars I would! Biggest waste of 15 odd pounds and totally inedible. I ordered the same Pizza from the branch at the Broadway in Wimbledon the day prior which was really tasty and well presented so I decided to order again but chose the Trinity Road branch due to delivery time being quicker. I thought with Pizza Express being a chain this would make absolutely no difference.. oh how wrong could I be! The pizza I received from the the Trinity Road branch was totally unacceptable. The pizza was flooded in bbq sauce to the point where every other ingredient was just floating around it in. Mozzarella cheese was non existent and the other ingredients had just been thrown on without even being cut into edible sizes. To top the pizza off, IT WASN’T EVEN CUT! Having just moved into the property I didn’t think you could go to wrong with a pre cut pizza and after having had a pizza from the Broadway in Wimbledon the day prior which was cut, I didn’t think cutlery was necessary. Sorry but who doesn’t cut a slice pizza? The chef on duty clearly can’t be bothered to do his job and doesn’t deserve it! Really shocked at how different an order from can be from simply a different branch of Pizza Express, absolutely no consistency.

My First time at a Pizza Express. Very Delicious Pizza 😋 Ordered a Paneer Tikka Pizza was surprised how good it tasted as good as a Mumbai Pizza. My Sister also enjoyed her Linguine too 😁 Great Service and Atmosphere.

One of the main parts of my order was not sent! The lemon and herb chicken wings were missing! There was a box with a piece of lemon, three small pieces of rocket and a few tiny bits of sun dried tomatoes! Am assuming that that was the box where the chicken wings should have been. It's embarrassing when you order lunch in and a main box of the protein element for one person is missing.

Three of us visited last night, Thursday 1st September. The food was excellent, the wine very well priced but overall the service was exceptional. We had a lovely young guy serving us and a very charming female member of staff. The service couldn’t have been more friendly and more professional. Really enjoyable evening.

We always book Pizza Express on 4th August as our first date was 4th August 2018 at Pizza Express Watford. We always have a lovely time at Wandsworth Trinity Road, it’s round the corner from where we live, in a lovely location and the staff are always very lovely. Shout out to the Brazilian waitress who cut up all our strawberries into hearts, this was so cute!!!

Having eaten at this establish countless times before during my childhood, it seemed the perfect place to remedy the vestiges of alcohol in our system from the night before. Eagerly, my friends and I downloaded the Pizza Express app, a clever scheme by the restaurant to encourage students such as ourselves to visit the restaurant given the billion pound debt faced by the company. My friends both enjoyed a free dough ball dish for signing up whilst I refrained from ordering due to lack of appetite, saving my deals for another day. The food, as expected, was bog-standard, run-of-the-mill pizza express, food that we have all had before and will most likely have again. This was just about nice enough to justify the expenditure due to lack of proper competition in the area and the proximity of the restaurant. However, that being said, it was slightly sloppy, stodgy and lacking structure, typical to that of pizza express pizzas. No major complaints arose from the quality of the food as it was no different to that purchased usually from pizza express. However, our qualms with the experience arose from the mistreatment of our group by the staff. The attitude of staff was blunt in the settling of the bill, which had to be adjusted only once to include our offers on the app, necessitating the printing of a single extra receipt. This was met with frustration and disdain despite the fact that my friends had never used the app before and were unfamiliar with its operation. Given that my demographic, younger students who may not normally opt to eat there without the deals, is the target of these schemes, I was surprised by such shortness from the staff and at the different treatment given to young adults. That being said, the staff were, on the whole, very helpful. However, it is such a shame that only one waiter in particular ruined the experience over such a trivial issue. On the whole, the food was just about up to standard. However, we left with a bitter taste in our mouths and the desire to leave a review for the first time given that this behaviour was so out of order.

Great pizza, we got Cajun chicken and Margarita. We ate at home and it stayed fresh and warm with no issues.

I like the design of this Pizza Express restaurant, it has a natural sky light coming in and the customer service was great. The kids enjoyed themselves.

Not a good atmosphere. Overly focused on takeaways and deliveroo (with bikers and gangs of youths coming in and out). Pizzas were OK but not as good as they were.

Really lovely atmosphere and super friendly staff. We celebrated a birthday there and they allowed us to bring our own cake! Appetizers and pizzas were excellent.

This is such a great pizza express. Staff are so friendly and the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. We live locally and have eaten here a few times now. Food has always been great each time!

Last week about 18 or us piled into Pizza Express for dinner having had the wake of a very close family member. After we finished our meal we were able to stay until last orders to celebrate the life of A. and be together in our sadness. All of the staff were superb but a special mention must go to Elliott, the duty manager who didn't falter in his customer service, even at kicking out time. Who'd have thought a Pizza Express would have been the place for the after party of a wake! Well done to all the staff there and thank you.

Service was very slow and food was cold on arrival. Average food taste and one waiter very apologetic however no comment regarding the rest of staff. A disappointing evening.

Nuestro local de PE. Últimamente ha mejorado mucho hasta esta noche. En primer lugar, llegamos allí y había mesas vacías en la ventana "reservados", pero no en las mesas reservadas con marcadores. Encontrar una mesa en un pasillo de intercirculación, demasiado estrecho.Pedí una coca cola y me dijeron, no coca cola o Coca-Cola light. Me señaló que había tienda de la esquina, literalmente en la calle, donde pudieron comprar lo suficiente para una noche, para ser recibidos con esa triste expresión perrito.Luego preguntamos por una pinta de naranja y limonada y en lugar de ser dada era un vaso de pinta dieron dos media caña al mismo tiempo! ! Lo que hizo que el aspecto mesa de estúpido. . .Aparte de que la pizza era precioso.

i have been twice together with my friends and both times we had terrible service and the wrong change by 5 pounds. Though we complained the both times the waiter only even looked into it the second time and reluctantly gave us half of what we needed. the other waitress looked at us suspiciously when we had done nothing wrong, is it because we're kids and they think we won't notice? overall, the food was over priced but ok, not a great expierience DEFINITELY not going back again.

Normalmente bueno ofrece Códigos de cupón disponible a través de la APP.También es un buen lugar, luminoso, espacioso y una gran parada de pizza después de un día en común. Siendo la esquina significa que es un poco más tranquilo que en otros lugares directamente en Bellevue Road. Pero también puede significar el personal charlando o divertirse ellos mismos y traten de exceso de celo para servir y interrumpirle. Deseo 1 miembro del personal quedaría dedicado a una mesa. Revisión como cliente como primera formación o compradores de misterio puede ayudar!

Nothing special and not poor just standard the service was good though bit disappointed the food is not prepared fresh so mushrooms could not be removed from friends dish.

Vine aquí con mi madre y mi novia y disfrutamos muchísimo. El ream que estaban sirviendo nosotros era muy atento y agradable. An odd space and the service is very hit and miss. I don't expect much from chain restaurants but having visited a number of Pizza Express across the country this is my least favourite.

Always know what you're going to get with Pizza Express. Food is as you would expect but service, particularly on a Wednesday is FAR too slow. Had to chase up the waitress to order and then for our bill which I didn't expect to need to do..

First time visit to a pizza express for some time and I was pleasantly surprised the polo funghi risotto was excellent and very tasty as was the lasagne. All served in a friendly way by helpful staff who were interested in customers.

We found the staff friendly and suitably efficient at taking and preparing our order accurately. We only experienced a delay at the point of paying when it seemed to take a long time to process the Tesco vouchers we were redeeming.The food was what I have come to expect from Pizza Express, decent middle of the road pizzas with a menu that gets regularly updated and includes some interesting toppings. There were children in our group and they enjoyed the options on their menu although they found the pizza size to be on the small size compared to some pizza restaurants. It was reasonable value though and did include an appetizer, main, dessert and drink for a set price. The restaurant was not too busy when we visited, on a Saturday lunch time, and the arrangement of the tables and room dividers helps contain the noise a little which is something that has put me off other Pizza Express venues in central London.Washroom facilities were clean and adequate, no complaints there.

OK it's a nice enough Pizza Express, it does what it says on the tin and the service is decent enough. The Pizza is thin crust and tastey, the pastas are hearty and are a decent portion size and the rest is just normal Italian fodder. Don't expect anything jazzy and you won't be disappointed. I've been when there were the usual Wandworth parent and kid brigade and the staff seemed to cope well enough and the restaurant is big enough to cope.

It's not my first visit to this establishment and probably not my last considering it is around the corners and the children like it.The food is okay and predictable. There are better places around London, but this is good enough. I am surprised about the staff / service. The staff always appears to be struggling to cope. When I worked as a waiter we had a higher table ratio, but if that is not manageable I suggest they hire more staff. Waiting 10 mins for drinks is crazy and then forgetting one of the drinks ... Plus mistiming the mains ... All in all bit disappointing but nothing that cannot be repaired.

I have been in this pizzeria before and I liked it so today I decide to come back for a nice and relax Sunday dinner out but wasn't that nice as I expect....I order a garlic bread and the drinks at the some time, when I get the drinks I order a pollo Pesto as a main. I get the garlic bread five minutes after I order, really nice. Then, after 20 minutes, the manager come to my table with a garlic bread!!! he didn't know I was waiting for main course!!! 15 minutes after my pasta finally arrived. Surprisingly the dish Pollo Pesto as only 2 small tiny pieces of chicken!! I had to ask the manager if it was right, of what he answered Yes that's the quantity of chicken on the recipe and left! I had to call him again and send it back because I wouldn't be happy to pay for it, so he offer to add extra chicken for a additional extra price And keep saying they just follow recipes! End up not eating anything and I will never recommend this place, very disappointing.
