We ordered Pizza and Dough Balls for a takeaway as were staying around the corner in an apartment, the pizza was lovely as were the dough balls. We ordered on the App and it was ready when they said it would be. Great food/service.

Just don't order for takeaway. In the restaurant it is fine, but so far of 5 online orders 3 have been wrong / failed delivery and no human answers the phone. Update - Human phoned me back and awaiting a refund. Still rubbish service but polite.

The food was very good but when paying we were directly charged an unnecessary tip. Check your ticket before paying, the manager's attitude was very aggressive asking for the tip, demanding it. Careful

The pizza was horrible. I asked for no cheese, there was cheese. I'm allergic. They are not honest, they are rude and my pizza did not taste good! They don't listen, they didn't offer me a refund, the pizza was cold. I waited a long time for something I couldn't even eat.

Best birthday venue! We just celebrated our daughter’s 5th birthday here and it was such a success thanks to Gloria, Hayder and team! Chefs hats, aprons and colouring to start, then the kids get to make their own pizzas, they receive appetiser dough balls and veggies while they bake, then they eat their creations and then birthday cake and ice cream! It was all made better by the staff who were attentive and zero fuss about all the rowdy 5 year olds. The room in the back is bright and beautiful, kept clean throughout the party by the amazing staff. I couldn’t thank them enough and highly recommend this as a birthday party venue. Thank you so much!

Sub par atmosphere- not comfortable seating. Not much to choose as vegetarian, limited choice. Food was quick to come - 1 pizza portion was not enough to fill me up. Kids pizza was not cooked properly- both my kids did not eat any food ( so on the amway back had to do pit stop). Never going again to Pizza Express ( any of them).

We have been to a lot of PE restaurants and the one in Putney is one of our favourites 😍 my kid has nuts and coconut allergy and this has never been a problem to them. They always are very attentive, patience and helpful. We have been looked after by different team members and they were all very nice to us! My kid really enjoy seeing the chef working and they are very kind to him;) Definitely recommend this place for friends and family. I love the new summer Sunday! Very fresh and so tasty! Bia

We arrived a bit late for dinner. The staff were clearly frustrated and didn't want to serve any more customers. While I understand that, I don't understand why they accepted us even though we asked them if it's okay to sit down and order food. When a member of staff came to our table to take our order, he didn't even give us enough time to go through the menu. The quality of my pizza was average at best. The toilet was dirty and disgusting. The older gentleman in charge of taking orders and payments was rude and unpleasant. My night was ruined, will never set foot in this restaurant again.

Came here when the place was EMPTY and relieved THE WORST service ever. After we were done with our mains it took over 10 minutes to collect our plates and offer us desert .It took another 20 to get the bill.Our waiter was just chatting the whole time we were waiting colleagues and we physically had to get up and walk over to ask him every time if we needed something .of course speak to you’re colleges but do look over occasionally .We were there for double the time and left in a bad mood .

We live in the area and this is by far our favourite Pizza Express - the restaurant feels like home and all the staff are incredibly welcoming. The chefs are always accomodating of our special requests and their food consistently surpasses any other Pizza Express we've been to. Tremendous service from everyone, they need a bonus!

Honestly did not expect this from Pizza Express. I ordered the pizza through Deliveroo. After 90 mins, the pizza was delivered - it was cold, not cut into slices. It was hard as rubber and we had to struggle to cut it. What’s the difference between buying cold pizza from local shops vs well known pizza express.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff members who were more than happy to assist me in selecting the perfect pizza for my taste. The restaurant itself had a warm and inviting atmosphere! The food was sooo amazing! Overall, I highly recommend Pizza Express to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience. The team at Pizza Express Putney is fantastic, not only do they serve some of the best pizzas around but the service is always top-notch. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that your experience is both enjoyable and memorable. We often order for take away for large group meetings in our offices and the team are always super helpful, efficient and always on time. Overall, I highly recommend Pizza Express for anyone who loves great food and great service!

Food is great, only thing that lacks is staff. They are always running off their feet playing catch up to ensure everyone gets served. They should hire more waiters, second time now this month slow service due staffing levels.

Today I went with my family for a lunch and only just few hours later two members of my family who share the food just started to have a Food Poisoning Symptoms. I honestly can't believe this happening behind the kitchen. We really don't know how our food is being prepared or if the products they use are really fresh and now I'm sick whit my daughter and my mother in the same situation.

We use Pizza Express Putney to cater for our head office on a regular basis and we could not recommend them enough. The lovely Gloria is an absolute dream to work with and always makes sure we are well looked after. Not forgetting the amazing quality of the food! We usually place very big orders for around 30 people and the quality is always exceptional. We couldn't sing the praises of team Pizza Express Putney enough!

Absolutely worth a try. And the desserts are awesome. They go in ... and I bet directly on the hips! 😁 ... which is the basic idea of a good desert in my eyes!

We took our 9 year olds here for an early dinner. Although they were fully booked, the friendly manager promised to find us a table and did on arrival. The kids menu is great value (£7.25) and the service was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely go again.

This pizza express is one of the best its convieniently situated. The staff here are amazing will do anything to help you and make your experience at this restraunt the best ever. Go here at least once a month. Only pace to go for amazing pizza.

Long wait, wouldn't accept their own generated voucher and very quick to add service charge. Attended pizza express with friends for a lunch. I had a voucher which was sent to me by Pizza Express. I showed it to the server in advance and was told it would be applied at the end. Ordered pizza, one hour wait and whilst pizza was cooked well, it was very thin and toppings were very scarce. Fast forward to payment and they generated a combined bill which included a large service charge even though we wanted to pay separately. As we all paid individually we were each asked to add an individual gratuity. This was on top of the added service charge they had already requested. In regards to the voucher which they were pre-shown, they said they could not apply it and I had to pay full price. Almost £19 for a paper thin unfulfilling pizza and a small soft drink. Overall, I don't think I will be going back.

We go to Pizza Express quite often because it works very well with our 4-year old daughter. They have a kids menu with lots of activities and they provide a pot of colouring pens and often a hat for her! They also tend to bring her food out super speedily and do things like have the kid's meal plate not heated up - a little touch but very welcome. And the app with its loyalty discounts is also great - I routinely save £10-15 off the bill. Even if it's all priced in, it still feels like I'm being rewarded and it's better than not having it! The staff are generally very friendly and attentive and, whilst I'm sure some foodies might roll their eyes to a degree, I am a fan of the food.

Excellent spot for lunch before walking down to the river and on to watch Fulham FC. Friendly and efficient staff team with really well prepared pizzas albeit from a standard menu. Only the best pizzas here!

The manager saw fit to make sure all her Deliveroo orders were fulfilled on time to the detriment of the dining-in customers. We waited over an hour for any food. The dough balls got burnt and had to be recooked, the pizza took an hour to be prepared. My husband is a type one diabetic and had taken his insulin so we were skating on thin ice with such a long wait. Other diners were asking where the food was too. The waiting staff were left to apologise for the failure of the manager who seemed unaware that she ran a restaurant! Pizza Express is usually such a charming and lively place to visit, I am afraid Putney is tired and lacking the usual high standards and ambience.

There was a very nice lady who I belive was a manager(Spanish or Brazilian I think) who made our visit extra special. The prices have increased and the pizzas are a lot smaller. That unique pizza express taste was missing. Sadly I think the quality has been reduced while the pricing has increased. Overall the staff were amazing unfortunately the food was not.

I went out for a late lunch on Sunday, and I couldn't be more delighted with the food and service provided. Sara was super helpful and friendly throughout our meal. And the tiramisu, divine!

Visited the restaurant last Friday and had a great time. The staff was really welcoming despite the late hour in the day (got to the spot just before 8pm) and my American pizza was delicious. Thank you!

Quite disappointed with my recent visit to pizza express, I remember ten years ago loving going to pizza express but I won’t go again , that’s for sure. Service was ok, although not sure why the waiter was still wearing a Covid mask so couldn’t hear what he was saying. The dough balls was chargrilled so rock solid and not doughy at all like they used to be…. And the garlic butter was so tasteless it was like dipping in normal butter. Overpriced as well. The four season pizza was over grilled, the sausages was not tasty at all, so had to leave them on the side, and they put sardines or anchovies or something fishy on it, was grosse, there was hardly any cheese on the pizza neither and the pizza dough was so thin yet gooey in texture, not nice… And the price was crazy. I tried the tiramisu dessert, let’s just say I was not impressed. Should have gone to the neighbour Nando’s restaurant :-)

I visited the Putney branch on Sunday evening and it was a great evening. The Manager Nilson Junior was so kind and really looked after our table despite being so busy running around and working in the kitchen helping the chefs. I will be back for sure.

Attended a kids party here. It was sweet and kids had so much fun. They had hats and came out with their own designed pizza.

Having just returned from a pizza making party, I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to Junior who was very accommodating to my daughter, who felt rather out her comfort zone to join in with all the children. He went above and beyond for her! All other staff were lovely and polite. Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning :-)

I took my son for a nostalgic meal at Pizza Express in Putney, which we had not visited for a few years. We both had Romana pizzas which we enjoyed but agreed that they are a little overpriced when compared to some of their competitors. Service was friendly an efficient. The bill arrived £43 iwhich I checked and was correct. I put my card on the plate with the bill and a £5 cash tip as service was not included. The water arrived with the card machine which read £56. I queried it and showed him the bill . He told me that it had been added up wrongly. I replied that it was not I had checked. He then said it was tax. I said that tax was included. He then retreated with a red face and came back saying an item had been added to the bill by mistake. I picked up the tip I was going to leave, paid £43 and left feeling annoyed.

I was very disappointed by this particular Pizza Express. We live in Spain and PE is usually a delicious simple supper for us when we are back in the UK. In this case, the service was ok’ish, but the glass of wine was old and rancid, the order was incomplete when it arrived, the space was tired and unloved, the ambience was terrible. Sorry to say that it will take us a long time to go back to another Pizza Express after that experience.

Service was a bit slow initially but it turned around later on, and most importantly served the best salad nicoise around. Modified to our requirements and ingredients were incredibly tasty. Thank you to Chef Sam!!

Great supper, friendly staff and delicious food

So … my friends and i came here to finish our work finishing for the year . We got there and extremely empty for lunch . It took and hour for our starters then half an hour later they came and brought me the wrong meal , so then i asked for the right meal then they came with it but in a kids size. As wed been in the restaurant for hours i decided to accept it . Then we wanted to pay but there card machine wasnt working , then we waited another hour until it was fixed . To top things off they charged us extra ! Do not recommend at all ! This place should close.

We went to Pizza Express in Putney two weeks ago, the place was totally empty and we wondered why. We ordered pizza and wine and was served by a very pleasant waitress. When we finished our pizza the waitress cleared up plates and told us to enjoy the wine which we did, until out of the blue a woman who apparently was the manager and shouts at us from a distance and tells us the restaurant is closed, finish our wine and go. We were rather astonished at this unbelievably rude outburst and we asked her when the restaurant actually closed, she roared 10 minutes ago and told us to leave and added for good measure “you have no shame”. She also said that the waitress had told us the restaurant closed at 11pm which is not true as the waitress had told us the kitchen closed at 11pm and in any case it was only 11;10pm so her rudeness was inexcusable. She then disappeared into the back of the restaurant and that was that. It’s no wonder the restaurant was empty, yet all the other restaurants next to it were open and busy. Restaurants have been closed for months and you would expect staff to be a little more welcoming not abusive. I will never go back there.

Living in Putney this is the go to Pizza joint. My wife and I have been to them all, and each time the quality is reproduced, the Romana bases are thin and crispy and products taste fresh and are well made. Good chefs, constant standard and amazing taste. Whenever we are at a loss for dinner, this is our go to. Keep up the great work and see you over Lockdown, please don't go!!!

Covid, I’m sure, is the excuse for the lack of staff - one chef, one manager and only one waitress - despite it being a Saturday lunchtime. The pizza was only warm, so just have been sitting on the side for a while and the waitress was defensive Chaos at the till - it felt like it was everyone’s first day at work!
