I heard about this place and as Italian I am always looking for a good pizza. Pizza wasn’t good at all and each one is around 16£!! Sausages didn’t taste and the friarielli so hard that I couldn’t eat it! We waited very long for these pizzas and the day after we all had a bad stomachache. To not talk about the service. No wifi, no colours or anything for kids. We waited very long, we ask for an espresso coffee and they bring it with no spoon and broken cup. When we asked for a spoon they said that they don’t have and gave to us a soup spoon. And all this for a total of 116£ ( 3 pizzas, 1 starter and a few soft drinks). Horrible experience.. never again

Best pizzas in the SW London area, you won’t get better than this! On par with the pizzas in Naples! Lovely welcoming staff who were extremely accommodating and friendly.

Unfortunately I won't be eating here again, the food is great but the service is something that they need to work on. We came in and promptly seated. We ordered our food, however proceeded to wait excessively. As we waited, two couples who were sat after us were given their pizza before us, twice they brought over pizzas that weren't ours, but continued to attempt to serve us the wrong pizzas. The staff did not communicate with us, they did not ask us to clarify our order nor did they apologise for the delay or mix up. Eventually, I was forced to approach the waitress who explained there's an issue with the pizzas and the manager would "probably give us the pizzas for free". Finally, after an 1hr and 10 minutes, the correct pizzas arrived. As I said before the food is great so no issues here. When we asked for the bill the service was still on the receipt and no discount or removal of the pizzas were taken into consideration. We addressed our concerns to the owner and he asked what we wanted removing from the receipt, we explained what the waitress had said and he just shook his head and said "how about we remove the drinks and service charge... I believe this is a fair deal". Unfortunately, I don't believe that we were treated fairly in line with other paying customers. This is an establishment with a high reputation in Wandsworth Borough and I expect a better standard of service alongside improved communication and understanding. We found the offer to ask us what we wanted removing from the bill rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate considering there was zero intention to follow through with this action of offering free pizzas or a "fair" or reasonable compensation. The establishment did not accept their mistake and did not appear to take responsibility for their actions, for this I am extremely disappointed and unfortunately will no longer be bringing my custom to the them. I would not recommend wasting your energy on a company who cannot treat their customers with fairness or respect.

Fuimos 2 familias con niños, local tradicional italiano y bonito. El servicio magnifico, las pizzas excelentes, precio contenido. Una experiencia fantástica. La recomiendo sin duda. Por lo que pone en la carta, el dueño fue campeón del mundo de pizza. Si estas por el barrio la mejor opción sin duda.

The pizza in this place has always been amazing, the service has improved lots recently. The restaurant can get pretty busy and the tables are very close to each other so it tends to get a bit noisy.

Been a number of times to pizza metro now and it never disappoints. Unbelievable authentic pizza, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Only very small criticism I would have is that the draft beer selection is very limited. However, it's still a brilliant establishment.

Real Neapolitan food. I wish they had pasta al forno of tagliatelle Genovese but great food none the less. Delizioso

Nos sentamos inmediatamente por Luca y nos ofrecieron aperitivo, botella de Prosecco, algunos entrantes, calabacín y pizza Bufalina. El personal era muy atento, a pesar de que la noche parecía estar zumbando. ¡Sin duda volviendo!

Fuimos a celebrar el cumpleaños número 11 de mi hijo y el 75 de mi madre, y estábamos muy emocionados de estar juntos mientras vivíamos a cierta distancia. Empezó bien, pero pronto se dio cuenta de que se habían quedado sin casi todos los vinos. Pedimos entrantes, que eran geniales, pero luego esperamos más de una hora para nuestro plato principal, que era pizza. Preguntamos varias veces si iba a venir, y finalmente apareció, sin ninguna disculpa y no el metro de largo pizza que viajamos allí. Paso cada dos cumpleaños con mi hijo, y esta fue nuestra noche para celebrar. Estoy tan amargamente decepcionado.

My friend and I walked past here on the fly and went in. Unbelievably good pizza, some of the best dough I’ve ever had, starters are incredible, and some of the best service I’ve experienced in London. Gives off a true Italian family vibe, and the gentlemen running the place were chatty, friendly and very welcoming. I’ll be coming back with more of my friends.

We were very well attended to and the pizza was delicious. For those who are Brazilian (although we speak English) there is an attendant who speaks Portuguese.

Absolutely top tier pizza. ~£15 per pizza, wine ~£30/bottle 12.5% service charge on all bills. 3 pizzas and wine ~£85.

They accepted my booking for 6pm on a Monday. When I turned up, they were closed.

Continuously rushed throughout our meal. The waiter gave us the bill without us asking for it and brought the card machine at the same time. We'd only been in there for just over an hour.

Avoid this place. It's overrated, and while the food is decent, it’s nothing memorable. Since we didn’t have a reservation, the waiter seated us at a cramped table right by the entrance, claiming it was the only available spot. However, minutes later, several other small groups without reservations arrived, and the same waiter found them proper tables elsewhere, telling them space was available. This left us feeling unfairly treated and unwelcome. The service was practically nonexistent. We asked for water three times and only received it after we had finished eating. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Avoid - too many better pizza options in the area to return here (400 rabbit, franco manca, made in italy). Soggy pizza bases and hidden extras like £6 for some extra olives on 2 kids pizzas, charged for the takeaway boxes for leftovers (neither of these extras listed on the menu or advised by the waiter). Disappointing

Everything is 10/10 at this place. Went for my bday dinner, had a metro pizza and it did not dissapoint! Service is stunning, staff are superb, and food/drinks are delicious. Definitely recommed this place & will be back for sure

Solid performer. Soggy undercarriage lets it down. This place on Battersea Rise has been around for decades. Service was efficient and attentive. No complaints. They’ve lost some of their alternative options to pizza. No salad. No fritto misto which was always a hit. Not even a bruschetta. But pizza is what they’re known for. Toppings are weapons grade quality and generous. Each pizza could easily feed two normal adults hence the price of £18. My only bugbear is the undercarriage. It’s that Neopolitan style that leaves the centre very wet so turns the very thin dough into somewhat of a pancake consistency. Not my fave I’m afraid. Others may prefer it that way. But overall worth a diversion if you’re ever between the Commons.

The best pizza in London is an understatement! If you close your eyes while eating DIEGO's pizza, it will catapult you to Naples in an instant. If you go to London the only place to eat a pizza is PIZZA METRO!

The classic Italian restaurants abroad are excellent for foreigners but for us from the South who are in London you will notice it and as the quality of the products leaves something to be desired I think that every now and then you have to return home to remember the flavours. Nice place

I’m delivery driver . to pick up order from here. The manager has to learn how to behave with delivery riders . I went to pick up an order. He told me five minutes. I was totally okay with that and waited outside. then I saw the pizza is ready and the other Staff was telling to the manager here is the pizza for him . And the manager told keep in oven I will give him. Intentionally, he made me wait another five minutes for my order. I don’t know why he did this .. and I asked him why you didn’t give me for the first time . Maybe you don’t like delivery riders. He should know that we are delivering your food to your valuable customers. And they are waiting for your food. For the proof you can check CCTV and the other Staff worked tdy with the manager who try to give me the pizza when it was ready many thanks ! (7:30-8pm)

We were passing through and stopped by chance. The owner welcomed us with typical Neapolitan friendliness and friendliness. We took pizza and Montanarine. As a pizza lover and traveler, I can say that it is truly exceptional. It even beats my favorite Neapolitan place (in Italy). What to say. The pizzas were delish! Full of flavour. The cocktails were on the strong side but that’s the way we like it. And the service was second to none. Great spot if you are craving a pizza night.

I waited for my pizza for 1h30 and when I nicely asked the owner about it he said “look how busy we are” but we got to the restaurant before it got busy. I argued and he said “when it comes it comes then turned his back to me. Super rude, definitely not coming back.

Food was amazing but what let the experience down was it took 15 minutes for our drinks order to be taken (the restaurant was quiet) & when the drinks came, one was missing from the order. We were not offered the opportunity to order any further drinks & the waiting staff were somewhat absent throughout the time we were there. No complaints on the food, it was delicious!

Really bad service! The uber drivers steal the food but claim it's been delivered. Avoid at all costs. I'm sure the food was nice but never got to try it. I tried ringing the restaurant but they hung up on me, they blamed uber but maybe take control of yr restaurant and not blame others! Very bad customer service

I've been here twice because the gluten free pizza is amazing, but the first time I haven't noticed that they charge £5 extra for a gluten free base. I was shocked when I saw the bill. They use Caputo flour, the same I buy for myself and I pay £5.69 for 1kg, and I can make up to 8 pizzas, they charge £5 for one! Others don't charge more than £1.5

i went on 03/05/2024 at the restaurant and ordered two a margherita with buffolo mozarella and pepperoni one for me and my partner. My margherita was burnt. I asked for a replacement and the 200kg guy which i believe is the boss shouted at me that it is not burnt. The pepperoni one was very dry and tasted like plastic. The fat guy who is the boss should rethink about having this restaurant and scamming all the believing customers. A big no for this place. Avoid at all costs. Also the toilet was dirty with something looking like processed food. horrible.

What a very, very bad experience. The food very expensive for what it is ( Salsiccia & Friarelli £15.95). The waiter was rude, the chef was rude and spoke harsh words as well as the fat guy which I think he is the owner. He was sweating and wearing jeans in the kitchen. The pizza was rubbery and tasteless, and the rest of the food was not cooked well and there was no care. Moreover, there was a mouse running, we left immediately. I do not recommend it we never go back again.

One of the best places to eat pizza in London. I had the "Prosciutto E Funghi" and it was amazing. I totally recommend the place and I definitely visit again.

My grown kids had enjoyed the meter pizza with 4 pizza varieties many times and brought me for a birthday celebration. The manager said they haven’t done this for years so we literally showed him photos of previous visits. The last couple of times they claimed they were out of dough😩 The manager spent a longer amount of time refusing to give us four variations than it would have taken the kitchen to deliver, it’s not difficult. Four pizzas ‘connected’ versus four pizzas separate. Their hands still have to do the same movements. Anyway, it ruined our evening as the two we chose were boring and the one had lame bitter broccoli bits on it. We won’t be back as there are plenty of good pizza places in town:-( The waiter was lovely, he needs to work somewhere that looks after customers.

The service is quick and polite, everyone is super smiley and attentive. The food is amazing! We took 2 appetizers: garlic pizza with anchovies and burrata and with pesto and burrata. Both very good and a massive portion! Then we had a burrata and mortadella pizza and one aubergine parmigiana. We noticed that the mortadella was slices a fee seconds before being put on the pizza which tells a lot about the quality of the ingredients they want to provide! Such a nice touch that adds load of flavour and freshness to the pizza. We ended our meal with a delicious tiramisù with really reminded me my mum's one. Simply to die for! So, 10/10 and will definitely come back!

5 stars is not enough to describe such a great place. We have had the opportunity to been there twice with friends and it never disappoints. The quality of the products they use on the pizzas, the apperol is amazing it tastes alcohol fresh and nice and the atmosphere combine with the unparalleled customer service makes the place a unique experience. Way far much better than so many pizza places in London. Love it guys keep it up!

A good pizza - but personally found it a bit too oily, and some of my sausage wasn't wholly cooked which put me off a bit. 241 cocktails were a good deal - but tasted pre mixed. Other pizza toppings felt fresh and we're plentiful, and the staff were really great - would go back (but maybe stick to a veggie pizza!)

Diego will be a good pizzeria chef, his pizza will be delicious, he will also have a nice place, but in life I would a thousand times prefer to deal with human and kind beings rather than be ferocious with the staff in front of the customers without mercy, so many obscenities just to feel important. I am a customer and the shameful scenes with the staff happened in front of me and my family...SHAME!!!

It is one of the most perfect restaurants in the neighborhood. The service was very friendly as well as the taste. We could get some advice on traveling to Italy. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant in Clapham you must visit it!

This is one of the oldest pizza restaurants in London. They are the first of having brought the idea of serving the "pizza a metro", that means you buy the pizza in meter (which is not a classic rounded pizza). The restaurant usually serves very good pizza, and it is taste and worth the price. However, the pizza this time was served a bit cold. This is why I am rating only 3 stars.

Amazing pizza and service. Top 5 pizzas I’ve ever had for sure. I can’t remember which one I ordered, but it was delicious (see pic). My girlfriend ordered a gluten free pizza (make sure you call ahead so they have the dough), which is the most amazing dough blend, where the crust puffs nicely like a non-gluten free pizza. This was our local, and we miss it dearly.

Pizzas were great, but the sign outside the restaurant advertised "2 for 1 cocktails during happy hour". All cocktails are £12, but in small print on the menu it states "2 for 1 cocktails charged at £15". Very misleading and incorrect advertising. When we raised this to the owner, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "oh yes". It was obviously not the first time he was told and he did not care one bit.

Very warm welcome and friendly environment , good for a family or friend gatherings. The Pizza Dough was very light to digest and the ingredients were very good. The waitress was really friendly and was doing her best taking all the orders out. The man at the till was also very friendly making sure everyone was happy and well served. Definitely if you are around the area visit the place.

I definitely was expecting more … the pizza was looking good but I could eat only half and I was lucky being there for lunch as I spent the rest of the day being thirsty. Also very expensive.

We dined at Pizza Metro Pizza for the first time yesterday and what a first time it was! Staff were super lovely and definitely made our visit memorable. I dare to say that they make the best Neapolitan pizza I had in London with such a light and fluffy dough and very authentic flavours. 2 for 1 cocktails were amazing and we definitely made the most out of this offer. Can’t wait to return (hopefully very soon) - thank you guys!

First time at Pizza Metro Pizza and we had the best time.Party of 4,we shared 3 starters,had 4 pizzas and a tiramisu and we really took advantage of the 2 for 1 happy hour from 12 to 7.All the drinks and food exceeded our expectations and the staff was just very friendly and helpful.I Definitely recommend it and we will be back very soon.
