The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

We stumbled across this cafe by chance and are so glad we did! It’s a brilliant place to stop for coffee when you’ve been running errands in town and your little one needs to be released from the pushchair and to let off some steam. Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and nice child friendly decor. Lots for kids to look at / play with. There are a few things that would’ve made the experience better which we wanted to share (as constructive criticism!) because overall we really like the place and we’d love to see it thrive 😊 - there is only one toilet / baby changing facility so there was a constant queue when we were there. Once inside, it was a lovely space though! Maybe you could put multiple change tables in there so its a communal change space? - the coffee was delicious! - we ordered a cheese sandwich for our 2 year old. It came quickly (plus point!) but was very basic and not really worth the price tag in our opinion. - we saw a fruit platter being served to another table which looked nice We will definitely be back, but as it stands we would make a point of using the change facilities in the Priors first and wouldn’t plan to feed the kids. Stayed here for one night, comfortable clean rooms. Good food and well kept beer. Fantastic walking in the area.

One of the cheaper delivery options in Harborough, and the quality's pretty good too. A single Midi is a plateful of pasta -- the meal was neatly packaged. I had two midis, a pesto with cheese and rocket and a lentil Ragu with chilli oil. The Ragu was excellent, I thought the pesto was maybe a little lacking in sauce. For the price, it's very good.

The premises used to be a typical old fashioned fish and chip shop when I was a child, so it was nice to try the new version called Shergills. The menu now is massive to suit all types of tastes now (pizzas, kebabs etc weren’t available when I was a child.) We ordered using their own site and it kept us informed of its progress via email. The fish, chips and battered sausage arrived quickly and hot. The amount of chips sometimes doesn’t mean they’re nice but we loved these chips. We’d asked for salt and vinegar and batter in the anything to add box on their website, but they mustn’t have read it. I loved the fish, bright white and tasty but wasn’t a lover of the batter.

Excellent take away. Pizza is always superb and delivery is fast. Easy to order online and discounts are brilliant !!!!

This would have probably got a 4 star but they let themselves down. The food was tasty and the service was ok except they made an error with my order and only brought it several minutes later after my friend was halfway through her meal. Sometimes when those things happen they will offer you a discount or free drink or something - they didn't but it didn't even cross my mind and when I received the £100 plus bill with the 12.5% service already included, I paid without question. However by that time I decided to have a coffee whilst my friend was finishing her drink and he (seemed to be a manager or something so not like it was a youngster without any choice) gave me a separate bill for it which I thought was very cheeky and disappointing and for such a silly amount, ruined my whole feeling about the place.

Este es un muy, muy buen restaurante. La comida es principalmente excelente - los espárragos y ensalada de huevo de codorniz era increíble! Sin embargo, no me gustó nada mi plato principal, así que apenas lo comí. El camarero se dio cuenta, se lo llevó y lo reemplazó por otro plato (sin cargo adicional). Me impresionó lo atentos que estaban. El servicio es excelente aquí. ¡A mi marido también le encantaba su ragout de jabalí! Lo más destacado fue el pistacho crema brulee - era un 10 / 10 , delicioso! ! Volveremos.

Came here for lunch. Traditional Italian with Italian service. Had the special of rabbit ragu with tagliatelle. Pasta was well cooked but the fish was far too salty to enjoy. At £24 including service, it was poor value.

One of the worst foods that I’ve ever ordered. Pizza was so salty. Even more annoying they didn’t deliver my drink with it. They forgot to add the cheese to the crust like I paid for. Then instead of one chicken supreme and one pepperoni, they just sent me two pepperoni. So upset.

Handmade pasta, no pizza, lamp dishes, damask table cloths just delicious. I've been waiting to go here for 5 years. We had a child with us, aged 10 and she was made welcome. Planning my next visit. Thank-you so much

We have eaten here before and the food was lovely. So I am not sure what happened in the last few years. My husband ordered the pizza meat. It was so soggy in the middle and under cooked. I ordered the surf and turf and my steak was cold and not cooked right and extremely chewy. Most of the staff were really rude also. Apart from the young Guy who brought are drinks. We won’t be returning. Such a shame as previous experience was good.

Came here for dinner with a friend - immediately greeted by a friendly server at the door , drink came promptly, however our experience was ruined by the fact that another server made comments about the amount of food we ordered (my friend is recovering from an eating disorder which was highly triggering for her ) I would encourage staff not to make remarks about food in front of customers as you never know what a person has dealt with in their life , in addition the food we ordered came half cold which is not the standard of food expected, the restaurant was busy , however we would have much rather waited a little longer and had warm food , rather than food that was half cold . Working in hospitality myself, I think that the standard of service and food was appalling. I do not tend to leave negative reviews, however the whole experience ruined the rest of our evening , will not be visiting again .

El servicio era excepcional - muy atento! La comida era aún mejor! Pizza, pasta, salmon. Simplemente genial todo el camino - una agradable sorpresa en una fila de tiendas y restaurantes que no están a la altura de este nivel de oferta! El ambiente era genial, cómodo y acogedor. Sin duda volvería!

Gracias por acomodar las dificultades auditivas de mi esposa y ponernos en una pequeña cabina acogedora en el piso de abajo. Fue maravilloso poder escucharnos mientras comíamos la comida más deliciosa. El John Dory y lenguado de limón se cocinó a la perfección, el servicio fue glorioso y toda la noche memorable.
