I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. They still make the best zucchini fritti in London. The friends I was with (Putney and Pimlico) wished they had as good an Italian close to them!

Staff and service were great. Loved the crab linguine but wasn’t all that keen on the deep fried seafood starter but overall it was a great time dining here.

Had the lunchtime menu 2 courses for £19.00. Fried courgette strips to start followed by Sea Snapper on spinach. Excellent

The Osteria never fails to be fun, for a local (Battersea) restaurant it is superb.

Waiters seem to want to get rid of us. Constantly coming to the table to ask if we were finished! We sat, menu was given not a minute later we were asked if ready to order, we weren’t, a second waiter came within a minute or so, and then the third. The food was really poor, not much taste, the pannacota was soft and tasted of milk and the ravioli overcooked. The table was minute, just space for the plates, we were squeezed between tables, and the noise was horrendous as there must have been 30 people or more in that tiny front room. I booked it to meet up with my friend for her birthday, what a disappointment!!

My favourite restaurant! Feels like a little escape to Italy on northcote Road. We always walk around intending to try somewhere new but get drawn back to this wonderful homely spot with fab service, incredible food and great wines too.

Great little Italian restaurant on Northcoat Road, thoughtful original Menu supplemented with a few daily specials. Vitello Tomato starter followed by Cod served on spinach with cannellini beans was excellent, fish was perfect. Some Gavi white wine and Spaghetti bolognese for the kids. Highly recommend.

We are regular diners at Osteria and for good reason. Always a warm welcome, excellent food and lovely ambience. The lunch menu is great value too.

Food and service excellent. Lunch menu good value. Wines on the pricey side. Tables cramped and close together with noise level high. But I suppose that is part of its charm.

Love this Italian- it’s an independent I think so good all cooked fresh, excellent menu not too long. Drinks and wines are good. Great service & atmosphere. I come here regularly with my son who lives in London. We had to go further up the road when they closed for a week or so but came straight back when they reopened! Keep doing what you’re doing!

Tasty food in a bustling, cosy setting. Top tip - the house wine (Fiano) is great, which is as it should be, but so often isn't in other places. Seafood dishes strong. Pineapple carpacio a surprise, in a good way! Bill reasonable for the area.

Food was really delicious, but portions were rather small. Service was amazing and atmosphere is nice, but can get a little noisy.

Whilst we've been here many times this will probably be our last visit for the foreseeable future. We felt very rushed and the tables are so close together it was hard to talk and listen. Vegetarian options also not as good as usual.

Incredible food but even more amazing service, Lily was so attentive and the whole team were so attentive. Perfect evening, will be going back for sure!

Local, neighbourhood gem. It was out first visit. There was a little mix-up with our table, but the manager sorted everything out. Wonderful, delicious food.

Although I've lived in the area for many years and knew about this restaurant I had never been there. I was definitely missing out - welcoming service, delicious home-cooked food, great lunchtime deal, fantastic all round! Can't wait to go again.

Dinner with friends on a Friday evening. It's a busy restaurant with a lovely bustling atmosphere. Calamari to start and veal cutlet for main. The food was most enjoyable and we didn't find the service slow despite the restaurant being packed. Will definitely return soon.

Delicious ...fritto misto , Octopus, Panacotta with strawberries

I had a Saturday dinner here before they went for refurbishment. The food was really good especially the zucchini fries and the tiramisu but everything was above average. We had their tagliata di manzo and a pasta both were good. It’s though a bit pricier than all the other restaurants on Northcote and you must make a reservation as it can come up to an hour of wait.

Horrible, leaves a lot to be desired.

High quality authentic Italian food.

We were shown to a table tight at the back of the restaurant, which I wouldn’t recommend but we booked late so we were very pleased they fitted us in. We were left sitting at the table for over 20 mins, no one came to give us any menus or offer us any drinks. We left and went to the Italian restaurant opposite, where we were seated at a much nicer table, were served quickly and had a very good meal.

We loved it here! Nice atmosphere, great food, friendly service and good value. My partner had the wild boar raging which was absolutely delicious. I had the crab linguini which was fresh and summery. Checked all our boxes and we’d definitely go back.

Busy, charming, long-established restaurant serving good quality food. Service a little haphazard - starter and mains arrived almost at the same time and one drink was forgotten.

Food was awful. Had a steak. It was tasteless, fatty and dry. Service wasn't great. I beg to differ over the positive reviews this place has because our experience was dreadful and a waste of money!

We were visiting London and meeting family and friends for dinner. Food was excellent. I had risotto with prawns, for desert - pannacotta and it was the best I ever had, light like a feather. My husband had a veal chop which was very tender and tasty. Service was very good, we were greeted on the door step and all staff was very helpful and attentive. Service is obviously improved from previous reviews.

Such a great neighbourhood restaurant! My Linguine alle vongole was perfect. The front section can be a bit noisy (depending on other diners!) but it was nicely calm in the rear section.

The open front/outside seating was lovely for a sunny lunchtime - airy but not in full glaring sunshine. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, and the food was delicious.

Great place ! The waitress , if im not wrong , Giada was her name , was incredible. We felt like home thanks to her and was by far the best attention we had in our month in London . Thank you and thanks Giada 🙂.

Osteria Antica Bologna is a firm local favourite of ours. It is easily the best Italian restaurant around Northcote. Food is always delicious and the service is attentive and friendly. As always, it never disappoints.

Excellent- good service and tip top fare We dined al fresco, balmy atmosphere with some chilled Italian rosé to complement the cod. Delicious.

Osteria Antica Bologna never lets you down. The menu may be much the same every time we visit, but the food is delicious and excellent value. The set lunch menu is a very welcome option, with attentive, helpful staff.

It was my daughter's special 16th birthday. When I booked online, there was an option to select a special celebration in which I wrote about my daughter's birthday. I would've given 5 stars as the food was lovely, but I expected a little recognition for her birthday with at least a candle to make it special for her. I was really disappointed.

Have been coming here for many years, always great food and service. I booked for myself and mum today as it is 5 years since my father passed away. Fantastic experience, wonderful service and great food as usual. Will be visiting again soon 😁

It was a while since I had lunch at Osteria and what to say : excellent, they never disappoint ! Fresh products cooked in a delicious manner. Pure gem in Clapham and in London. Business lunch set to me best value for money around whole London. Highly suggested ! Good appetite everyone

Always good food there. Made a request for a corner table as was using crutches which they accommodated.

Staff are considerate but we were seated near some noisy diners. As older women we don’t appreciate the shrieks of younger people! Food was mixed -starter was delicious and my friends enjoyed their chocolate dessert. I thought the pasta dish involving tagliatelle and peas was too rich. My friends loved it! We will return.

A wonderful place to which I return as often as possible - great food and atmosphere and helpful pleasant service. My only slight criticism is the noise level- in such a popular place,with no soft furnishings to damped sound, it can be quite loud. Also, although not a problem for me, I notice there are no dishes for vegetarians.

We celebrated a birthday with a large group at Osteria Antica Bologna on April 27th and had an outstanding experience. The service was top-notch - our server did an excellent job taking care of our big party, making sure everything was timely and we had all that we needed. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic Italian. At first glance, the portions looked on the smaller side, but everything was so fresh, flavorful and satisfying that we all left feeling happily full. Save room for dessert, because they are divine! Overall, I would strongly recommend Osteria Antica Bologna for anyone seeking a true Italian dining experience in London. It's a wonderful spot for a celebratory meal or special occasion. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic place, great service and a very good value-for-money set lunch! The food is absolutely scrumptious. I had goats cheese and beetroot starter and chicken paillard main and absolutely enjoyed every bite. Will definitely be back for more.

Eccezionale! Ho preso i ravioli con asparagi e ricotta con salsa di burro e salvia. Era buonissimo, e la porta è aperta ai primavera in Inghilterra. Grazie a voi, tornerò ancora per fare una bella mangiata!
