I visited this restaurant last night and it shocked me. It was very quiet and the food was amazing. We have a take out at 18:30 the food was fresh and tasty. I recommend the veggie pizza which is to notch. Definitely recommend

This was our first visit to this amazing Italian restaurant. From the point of booking the table to leaving the restaurant, I can only give a view of outstanding. We were celebrating a birthday, and all the arrangements went exactly as planned. The friendly service was exceptional, the food was amazing, easily the best Italian restaurant I have ever visited. The Vivo is definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Myself and my boyfriend have been here a few times and have never ever been disappointed! The food is exceptional! We try to have something new each time we go and have always enjoyed what we have eaten. Hasan is one of the wait staff there who always remembers us and makes us feel at home- a very lovely man and a credit to the restaurant! We love this place and will be back soon!

I was visiting the area for work so I decided to try a local restaurant which was open on a Monday evening. I arrived at 6pm without a reservation. I was welcomed by the proprietor lady and escorted to the upstairs dining and open kitchen area. Impressive menu well written portraying authentic Italian dishes with good variety of choices. Nice welcome and good help from the lady proprietor regarding items on the menu. I ordered a starter accompanied by a salad and a main dish. The salad was Insalata italiano No fresh basil only baby spinach leaves and no Italian vinaigrette, too many slices of red onion and not enough lettuce. The mozzarella cheese was disintegrating on the plate. The starter was Gamberoni Pavarotti. No taste of garlic Nice taste of chilli just right, tomato paste sauce was bland, prawns cooked to perfection, easily overcooked but these were just right. The portion was commendable for a starter but sadly the dish was served on a cold plate. Main meal was half portion of tagliatelle carbonara as kindly offered outside the printed menu. Portion was good and the carbonara sauce was very nice. Sadly the pasta was overcooked and again like the starter it was served on a cold plate. I had no room for a dessert so I went for an espresso instead, nothing special but sadly the espresso was poured into a cold espresso cup so it was warm at best by the time it arrived. The lady proprietor was rushing around welcoming guests, taking orders, serving and plating up in the open kitchen, chatting to customers and resetting tables …….absolutely amazing. Well done madam Overall the restaurant setting upstairs is formal, spacious, comfortable with a warm atmosphere enhanced by some nice Italian modern mellow tunes. The lighting was subtle befitting to a relaxed dining experience. I would say that despite the few disappointments the overall value for money was average and still worth the visit. Thank you for reading this review.

Second review for this restaurant Firstly the drinks order. I ordera "strong" orange cordial with tap water, as you can see from the picture it cannot be described as strong One of party ordered a fresh orange and lemonade, he received a similar drink to mine ie cordial and water The Bruschetta the picture can explain Finally the Pizza when it arrived it was stone cold and in my opinion undercooked. We called the waitress over who went to report this. The owner came over picked up my Pizza to prove it was cooked ( no gloves) I told him exactly the same. He then took the Pizza away and reheated it I had the same Pizza returned this rendered it inedible ( it was like cardboard very over cooked) Once again I complained only to be told " no one else had complained " After a very short discussion it was decided that we wouldn't be charged ( we couldn't wait for a fresh Pizza as we were attending a show which they were aware of this). As one of the party paid the bill an apology was offered, but not to me

We celebrated our 9th Anniversary at Dario's last night and I couldn't think of a better restaurant to eat at. The staff are all friendly and the food is of a high standard.
