Came across this place by accident … great food lamb chops to die for .. service exceptional not pushy like some places ..one down side ..chips need to be home made not packet

Gorgeous tapas at a reasonable price for all you can eat. The ambience of the restaurant is lovely and staff are great. There were a few in the restaurant but didn't have to wait long for our food. All in all a fabulous place.

As always excellent service and beautiful food , it surely is a hidden gem for tapas.i would definitely try the beef stroganoff.

Tonight should have been our Christmas get together for myself and 2 friends, having our annual meal at our usual place. But a blatant act of stupidity could have put me in A&E. Upon ordering a meal, the manager said it came with a salad. Straight away, I explained I was allergic to fresh tomatoes and asked them to make sure it had none on it. We all ordered the same meal. He went to give me one with tomatoes on, I said, I can't have it. The others were given them and then mine come with no tomatoes. But the salad was just tossed on. I found what I thought might be a seed but couldn't quite tell. After eating quite a bit of it, my tongue started tingling. I asked him to be honest and asked if they had just taken it off. They replied they had. They didn't change plates or anything. I started becoming more ill. He came out with an anti allergy tablet as with it beinga sunday, chemists and shops were shut. . I ended up going outside and stood there shaking for 10 minutes as my symptoms got worse. Not once did he come out to see if I was ok. It took 25 mins for me to feel better. I asked him why does he have a sugn stating to say about allergies if he didn't take it serious. He stood next to me and ignored me. All I got was.. sorry about that. Safe to say, I'm reporting him. This could have been a lot worse.

Visited Movida today. It seemed like the waitress was only there under protest, no engagement at all. I ordered a drink which arrived in good time. I opted for the all you could rat tapas. The first 3 courses arrived in good time and really y good quality. A short time later the waitress arrived an informed me that the card machine machine was not working and i had to pay cash. I told her that this was not an option as i only had a company credit card. She then walked off to inform the management. No response. Nothing. i was then concerned how i was going to pay…. I then asked for the bill and was informed that the card machine was working. No apology, nothing. Be aware when visiting…

Been a while since we had been. Busy outside, only us inside ( strange time as in-between meal times) I think tapas is the way here, hence the name. All looked lovely what we saw been carried out whilst wait for ours.We chose a meal, plate was mostly chips and not very exciting salad, moussaka was small and not hot at all. When paying was informed card machine not working ( luckily had cash) informed people before give them chance to get some cash.

The most amazing tapas I have ever had! Me and my husband regularly make a 1.5hour round trip to visit here and have brought along many friends and family! The food couldn't be nicer! It is fresh, made to order and nothing is too much trouble!! The staff are incredible, very friendly and remember us, making a big fuss each time, especially AL! They really do make you feel like extended family the minute you walk through the door! Thank you Movida!! <3

The tapas her is amazing! The price for the quality is reasonable if you don’t want loads but if your appetite is large then the price is great! The staff are friendly, the decor amazing and the taste incredible. I was only upset that we couldn’t eat more. I have only knocked down a star because you couldn’t pay by card. This is something that really needs to be addressed. Having said that, everything else was brilliant and it’s a place not to be missed.

Absolutely gorgeous food! We ate from the extensive unlimited tapas menu...so much to choose from. The Moussaka, Calamari, Paella and creamy garlic mushrooms were delightful. Used high quality olive oil & balsamic vinegar. All staff were kind and attentive and made us feel really welcome. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Was just passing through Doncaster and found this lovely place. Really efficient service and wonderful food. Wish we had more than 30 minutes but still managed to enjoy it.

I went to Movida for bottomless brunch yesterday and would definitely recommend it. The food was gorgeous and came out quickly. You are given complimentary bread and a meze plate to share whilst you pick 3 tapas dishes. The drinks options are house wines, sangria, Prosecco, lager and soft drinks and you don’t have to stick to the same drink for the 2 hour time limit. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we never had to ask for anything and were regularly asked if we wanted more drinks. I couldn’t fault anything and can’t wait to go back. Definitely give this place a try.

Excellent selection and quality food! The staff are so welcoming and the food is insanely fresh and tasty I can’t believe how quiet it was! Good selection of drinks too! Been here a few times never had a bad meal tastes better each time. A true hidden gem.

Went for the all you can eat tapas. Service was great and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. Not the best tapas I’ve ever eaten (and a lot of it not very Spanish!) but excellent value and all well seasoned and tasty. Particularly enjoyed the dolma....

After waiting months to go out we chose our fav restaurant, sitting outside isn't perfect but it's something, but not when your surrounded by other tables chain smoking and playing music on their phones. Staff did nothing DISAPPOINTED

Visited here a week before second lockdown due to hit us. Had a lovely table in corner and had a wonderfully relaxed evening. Felt totally Covid safe. Staff very polite and friendly. Food, wine and service great. Look forward to visiting again (hopefully in 2020)

Food was unreal - first time calling in after a drink in the local pub. What a treat - the staff were unbelievably friendly and made the experience. The food was quality - I would recommended. Really made our afternoon ❤️

We dined as a couple early Saturday evening after booking in advance. We received a warm welcome and were shown promptly to our table (observing social distancing etc). We opted for a jug of Sangria which was delicious and the all you can eat tapas....

Excellent food, good value with friendly, helpful service even though they were extremely busy. We came here for the first time with another couple and will definitely visit again. Our waitress explained how we could order 3 tapas and then carry on with 2 each time. The food was well cooked with plenty of variety and our wine was pleasant and reasonably priced.

Don’t know why we have not been before! Had a very good server who explained how the dishes were served, we all had all you can eat tapas. Never waiting long between orders , bigger portions than expected of delicious various food all served with a smile till we could manage no more. Thank you !

Went for the eat out help out scheme and was not disappointed. The staff were all friendly and lovely bending over backwards to make sure we had everything we wanted. The menu and food was varied and amazing quality. One vegetarian and one meat eater and both were totally spoilt for choice. Everything we ordered was delicious. Though the bill was a lot lighter than it would have been would still be amazing value going any time.Will definitely be back

We are great fans of tapas and had not had one for a long while, this place was just around the corner from our hotel.The food was excellent, well cooked and very tasty. We had 6 dishes between 2 to start and then a further 4, after which we were very full.Reasonable pricing Sunday to Thursday, a little more at the weekend. Great attentive service.

It has been a busy night for the team at Movida but they kept going and provided good friendly service. They were helpful on how best to order which was four tapas each and then more if needed. We had water all evening and they continuously filled the jug and we never had to wait. It took longer to get the second orders of tapas but it was well worth the wait. They had let us know it would be a bit of a wait but due to the friendly atmosphere we didn’t mind. The food was very good and we all felt the calamari was the best we have ever had (we know our calamari and we had it last week in the best pub in Yorkshire). The prices were a fare price but as it was the gov eat out to help out getting the bill was an amazing experience. Thank you to all at Movida for making our evening so special.

Due to Covid-19 we can’t go into the restaurant. However take away absolutely FANTASTIC the food tastes just like greek food, our new favourite takeaway in Doncaster and as soon as we are able to go and visit the restaurant we will be there 100%

So we attended the little restaurant after walking past multiple times and being a fan of tapas.The occasion was my partners birthday.A group of 4 of us went.Once ordered we were astonished to see multiple plates that we didn’t order arrive at the table For example we ordered 1 pesto pasta and received 3....When notifying the server (who was lovely) he removed the unwanted dishes (7 maybe in total) They were then placed under a hot lamp for 15 minutes to the be returned as ‘complimentary’ The massive confusion on what we had ordered continued through out the meal, which we had to sort out continuously through out making it hard to enjoy the experience. After eating the staff brought out a brownie with a candle (as it was my partners birthday) however the brownie was actually frozen and cold- further disappointment.Once it came to paying and after requesting the unordered items be removed (which was extremely difficult to do) we were then told all the problems were our fault and we ordered all the items (after requesting the manager to get the ticket from the kitchen which clearly showed our order we had asked for, he proceeded to tell us no and that we ordered all the extra food) After paying my half- the man taking the payment got extremely rude, one of my friends proceeded to pay their half obviously however we were not happy about his sudden change of attitude and hostile reaction. We had had a drink before hand but were not drunk and felt they were adding on extra dishes and thing to take advantage. It’s a shame because the food was really good and we would of gone back.Working in hospitality ourselves we understand their may be nights where things go wrong but this really does take the piss. Sorry guys but this was not acceptable.

We've eaten her twice in two weeks, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Special mention of their lovely mussel dish, with cream and chilli. Also the aubergine and several minced meat tapas. Very nice house wine selection, and lovely warm bread with oil and balsamic for free while you're waiting for your order.

As strangers to Doncaster, we took an internet inspired chance on Movida - and we're so glad we did. A wonderful menu, encompassing the whole Mediterranean area with a choice of tapas, pasta, pizzas or special dishes. The tapas menu alone was very comprehensive - and such good value! We started with three each, and then chose a further two, all for the fully inclusive price of £14.95. We were warmly welcomed by host Yusuf - if it's not too busy, do have a chat with him, he's a charming man. Booking is advised for Friday & Saturday, but early evening on a Thursday offered us a choice of tables (though it was filling up nicely by the time we left) Really good food, plenty of choice, and a very warm welcome - what's not to like?

We had a really lovely lunch, the food was delicious and the waiter spent time talking to us, telling the history of the business and was really nice.

Visited in a group of 12 people and all had the all you can eat tapas. Not a single person said any dish was anything other than top quality and between us we more than likely covered them all.

Came here for tea with two friends, upon arrival we were greeted warmly and once seated were offered drinks, because of negative experience’s of Tapas I opted for a ham, cheese and mushroom pizza must admit it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had absolutely crammed with ham and fillings wasn’t very hungry but I ate the lot because it was so delicious. My friends had the tapas and it looked delicious. Will try it next time. On the whole a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back.

We went here before a concert so were a bit tight on time but that wasn’t a problem at all. Movida has an extensive menu and the staff know their menu well. I wanted to avoid certain things and was advised accordingly - we were also advised on portion sizes. Warm bread, oil and balsamic was gorgeous and the food came promptly, piping hot, well served and gorgeous! The wine we chose wasn’t available but the one we were offered - and had - was excellent. What a great restaurant with fabulous staff who just seem to want to help you have a good time. Definitely recommend for a relaxed evening with really excellent staff and food and a really nice atmosphere

Met up with a friend in Doncaster. Neither of us knowing the area, we didn’t really know where to go for food. Stumbled upon Movida. What a find! Wide selection of tapas at excellent value with various lunchtime deals. Nice wines. However what set it apart was the service we received - excellent! Thank you. And you never know - we may be back!!!

We recently visited Movida for my daughter’s 16th birthday. There were 10 of us and this was our 4th time visiting!

We happened upon Movida by accident really. As visitors to Doncaster we didn't really know where to eat, getting a bit lost saw us wandering part this place. We decided to give it a go and so glad we did. The concept of all you can eat often puts me off as the food is often buffet style, cold and over cooked. However, here you order three tapas dishes, then order more two at a time. They are cooked fresh and incredibly tasty. The meat dishes shaded it for me, but the quality was superb overall. The staff were friendly and attentive and the overall ambience was good. We are there tea time on a Saturday, I suspect given the concept they will get large and probably loud groups in, especially on a weekend. Bear that in mind if you want a quiet meal or take kids. Definitely going back, and hoping they want to expand to York.

Took 6-year-old last night as this was his choice for dinner. He loves it here! I also come here a lot with my team from work. Caters well for vegetarians as well as carnivores, unlike a lot of other places where their choices are limited. The All You Can Eat is great value and works brilliants both as a family meal and as a team. Yusef and his team are so friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. All the food is cooked fresh for your order so I can have spicy sauces removed for my 6-year-old for example. You can order the same dish on every round, unlike some AYEB that set limits on some dishes.

My fiancee and I have been coming to Doncaster on a Monday for the past couple of months, we have eaten in various places until we found modiva, the tapas is amazing, the service excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming and authentic. The week day tapas offer is excellent value for money. I particularly love the calamari and the halloumi. Modiva is now the only place we eat when on our day out in Doncaster. Me, the wife and a few friends popped into Movida for an evening meal after a day on the beer and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is amazing, very relaxed and lively.

On a weekend away we decided to get out of the rain for some lunch and we found this amazing hidden gem!!! The staff was friendly and couldn't do more for you, the food was authentic, flavorful and delicious, and the restaurant was gorgeous. We went for the lunch time all you can eat so we could have a selection and it was cooked fresh to the table, it was quick and amazing. We are slightly upset we couldn't eat more and try more dishes.

We called in for lunch on a friday afternoon. We have never had tapas before so didn't know what to expect. The service was friendly and quick and the menu explained. We opted for the £14.95 each eat as much as you like and the menu was extensive. The food was tasty and arrived in good time. The server was friendly and helpful and gave good advice on the tapas. We really enjoyed all that we had and would recommend it.

Ordered the all you can eat tapas, brilliant selection of meat and vegetarian dishes available, a little disappointed with the selection of fish dishes available but what was available was beautifully cooked. The waiter was attentive without rushing you and the food was served in good time and cooked to order. I will definitely be going back soon.

All you can eat Tapas sounded like a great place to go, especially during the week.

We dropped on this little gem while mooching round Doncaster on Saturday. Initially we looked at the food in the newly renovated wool market where they have a stand. It was very busy so we walked away vowing to visit another day. We then discovered the restaurant tucked away down a side street.

We rocked up on a Sunday evening and decided to try the all you can eat buffet menu. From making the initial call and booking the table I knew this was going to be something special. The best thing about trying the buffet is that the selection is exhausting and something for everyone. Everything was presented perfectly and came at a relaxed pace. The atmosphere was just right and felt this added to the enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommend this if your looking for an alternative to other buffet style restaurants in the town.

6 of us visited here midweek. All opted for the £15 all you can eat Tapas.

Had the £15 all you can eat tapas, every dish was lovely. They call it a buffet but it’s not, which Is good. It’s cooked fresh and brought to your table. Very good selection, I’ll go back and try the dishes I missed next time.

For a good meal in the centre of Doncaster Movida is a must. The tapas menu is extensive and of the highest quality. Go for the eat as much as you like which starts with three dishes and then two dishes, another two dishes and so on.and is under £20. There is a good choice of drinks available and other items apart from tapas. The service was excellent throughout the evening even though the restaurant was busy.

6 of us had a cracking time eating varied Tapas from the lunchtime special deal. A mix of meat, veggie and seafood dishes and some Italian & Portuguese beers. The lamb and chicken liver dishes were my favourites but we all agreed top value. Bit of a lack of atmosphere but cool weather may have kept folk away.

Good Friday , good food . Really enjoyed the tapas . Great choice for meat and veggie. Very reasonably priced especially before 3 PM. I will definitely be going back in the near future.

This was our first visit in a while, the last was just after this place opened. The decor whilst wasn’t bad last time had improved so it’s good to see they are continually developing and improving the place. We went for the all you can eat menu. It’s Excellent value and every tapas dish we tried we were pleased with, delicious. The customer service was also very good. All staff were very welcoming and checked everything was okay throughout the meal. For me this is the best tapas in Town. Will be visiting again soon.

Visited this restaurant numerous times and it’s brilliant every time. Slowly becoming my favourite restaurant in Doncaster. Excellent value for all you can eat tapas - order 3 dishes first then keep ordering 2 dishes at a time u too you are full. The food always comes out fresh and piping hot. what a lovely afternoon we spent in here. the staff were very attentive and polite. we chose the nenu deal of 4 tapas and a bottle of wine for £24 and we were amazed at how much you got and how delicious it tasted. we finished the meal off with a lemon chelo ice cream , which was to die for and the bill came to £34 result !!!! we will definitely be returning and they cater for parties too .

There are very few restaurants in the town centre that I enjoy going to- this is one of them. Lovely tapas dishes and great staff. Really good value for money. Only criticism is that it lacks a bit of atmosphere during the week- my friend and I went on a Tuesday and we were the only people in there but to be fair we went straight after work so we were early eaters. Went to Movida on Saturday with 2 friends for a meal. There were only 2 staff working that had to take drink and food orders and serve food, to a full restaurant. This made the service slow, took at least 20 minutes to order our first round of drinks!

This is a really nice tapas restaurant, with a really large menu to choose from. They don’t just do tapas either. They also do pizzas, pastas and other options. We had the all you can eat tapas and it was lovely; tasty with so much to choose from at a really good price.

Had great delicious tapas at Movida on Saturday evening,there were four of us and everything we had was perfectly cooked. The service great from the lovely Margaret .Wont be long before we go again.
