La Rustica Restaurant in Doncaster

The restaurant was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. The food and service were excellent. Christi was very attentive.

Vibrant yet quiet atmosphere as restaurant over 2 floors . I was here on business . Food was divine, I had the mushroom Daviola to start followed by the tagliatelle caserecee which has recommended by the front of house and wasn’t disappointed. Moise , front of house was very welcoming and was an excellent host. Would highly recommend if you are in Doncaster

Unfortunately the food was not good at all. We ordered pizza. We waited more than an hour, and when the pizza came, it was uncooked, raw. And another issue was the kids' meniu ... you can't use such a spicy salami. Otherwise, very nice and hospitable waitresses.

The service was great but that could be because we were the only ones in there and the food tasted like it had all been made with curry powder in it, it wasn't italian food and most thing on the menu were in Spanish

This was our first time at this restaurant and it was definitely worth the visit! Cristi was very attentive and couldn’t do any more for us! He greeted us at the door, showed us to our table and made sure everything was perfect during our meal so thank you!

Fabulous night, staff were so attentive and made our experience a lovely lasting memory . Food wise the produce which they use is second to non, each dish we had was presented and tasted beautifully, we would recommend La rustica, this was our first time in there since it was carlo’s back in the day. For sure we will be returning to La Rustica!!!

Service was shocking, took forever to get served. Furthermore, food came and pieces of shell were smashed in the sauce making my food inedible without nearly shattering my teeth with every bite.

Lovely food and great service by Ecu who was very friendly and made sure we always had a drink. Made the setting very romantic with the rose petals and candle lit on the table.

Needed a restaurant after a day at the races, and all the reviews looked promising. They were not wrong, excellent evening. Passed on starters in case there was room left for desert, there wasn't. I had a calzone, served the right way with bolognese sauce on top, brilliant. My wife opted for the pasta and polpette, she found it a little spicy, but i helped her out and she had some of my pizza crust, win win. No room for desert sadly, maybe next time. Service was excellent, great place to eat. Hope the renovations does not spoil the charm!

We came for dinner on a Thursday night. It was very busy with birthday parties but the staff were very attentive and friendly, especially Alex and Codruta. Food was beautiful as always. We will definitely back after the refurbishment!

I am so blessed that La Rustica is so local to us, I can't believe I've lived here a year without ever going before! A beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and amazing, tentative staff. The food was absolutely amazing, we could barely walk after because we stuffed ourselves so much! I opted for fish based dishes and they did not disappoint but I was very envious looking at my partner's steak! Amazing price for how beautiful the food is. The decor is so cozy, I feel like I'm dining on a street in Italy! We had Alex serving us and he was amazing, Alex was so friendly, quick with any requests, adding petals to the table and asking if we'd like a photo. Just a wonderful experience and it felt very special!

Beautiful little restaurant, I had the lamb cutlet, and churros, my wife had the tagliatelle with slow cooked beef, churros and cheesecake. Loved it and will definitely be back. Staff were really helpful, loved it.

Amazing food, even better service. Visited this restaurant for my dad’s birthday, along with 8 of my family. The restaurant was very busy, and it was only a Tuesday evening (which I think is usually a good sign). 2 of the party were small children, one with allergies to oats, milk, soy etc. Our waitress Maria had complete knowledge of the menu and went out of her way to organise vegan ingredients (without oats) were purchased from a store nearby so my nephew could enjoy a meal (and the 2.5 year old ate his entire pizza). This was just one display of how brilliant Maria was. She was quick to organise our tables drinks and deliver them, gave us time to explore the menu and took our orders in perfect time, there wasn’t a single moment we felt rushed or forgotten, exemplary service and intuition from Maria. I can’t remember the last time I received such perfect service from start to finish. She has great humour, is smiley, happy, approachable and knowledgeable, a total asset to the restaurant. The other waitress and mixologist/bar man were also entirely lovely and gave great service (didn’t catch their names). The food was delicious, good portion sizes, lovely and flavoursome and it’s clear a lot of love and time goes into making, designing and presenting the dishes. Really great Italian menu, which has options for everyone, and doesn’t overdo it with a silly amount of linguine and pasta choices (just the right amount of diverse options). Atmosphere is great too, and upstairs and a downstairs, with decor that feels very authentically Italian, and music playing at the right volume (which is where so many go wrong, when it’s so loud you can’t have conversations). It’s a must visit, can’t wait to go back! The best customer service and incredible food! Couldn’t fault a single thing!

Went for lunch for my husband’s birthday. Food was delicious and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Interacted with our children and made them feel special. Also added a candle to our deserts and came to sing happy birthday when they found out. Lovely little touches that go a long way.

Me and my boyfriend were served by Maria, who was absolutely lovely! When we had questions about the menu she gave us all the information needed and offered to swap dishes if my boyfriend found the food not to his taste. However this wasn’t needed we found the food absolutely amazing, matching the service.

The food is ok. But really just ok. The pricing sort of reflects that but what really lets it down is the staff and service they deliver. From none English speaking staff to extremely slow service. It’s a shame as it’s gone down hill over the years.

Myself and my Friend went for lunch Sat 23rd March. We were welcomed by a Friendly member of the team(Maria). She went anove and beyond to make our dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The house wine was really nice. We were given a taste before we bought the bottle. Plenty of menu choice. Orders were taken and the starters arrived swiftly. Hot and so delicious. We had a portion Black mussells and a portion of Large garlic Prawns to share. Absolutely gorgeous! Another server took over to deliver our mains. Agan impeccable service and excellent food. We really njoyed our experience and wiuld def return . It was early so not many in so i down starred one star only for that reason
