Really nice food. Excellent service. No complaints. Slightly pricey but staff go the extra mile for you and food is very good.

This food was probably the worst food I have eaten for a very long time. Or should I say I had 1 bit and same with the misses and we left this. The meatballs had no taste, pasta was bland for been covered in a sauce which I couldn't even tell you what tastes like. Soup was meant to be potato leek and was dish water. Not impressed with it at all. Had warm drinks

Went there for Valentines meal. Ordered a medium fillet stake, and received this. Looks like they run out of fillet and just folded some beef just to look like stake ,also forgot that should have been medium not well done.

There was a group of 17 of us - waitresses were friendly and attentive - Bobby was brilliant and really looked after us. We had a discount voucher that was honoured. The food was amazing we all enjoyed it and it all came out as ordered and was hot - none if us had to wait too long. I had the fillet steak with fries - I have to say it was the best diane sauce I've ever had! I made sure that my compliments were given to the chef.

It was a Tuesday so may be atmosphere difficult when it's such a quiet night. Garlic bread was like leather. Food was ok but nothing special. Service - bland.

The whole surroundings of this place give the impression of a really great restaurant with possibly a great menu, but unfortunately that's where it ends for me. The waiters in this place are pushy even though it's still nice, and here I come to the food... I was tempted by the steak, and it's the specialty. place.. Unfortunately, it was the weakest steak I have eaten in years, more cooked than baked in sauce. Maybe I'm not a master, but neither the mushroom nor the onion felt like frying pan for me, plus the price of beer... I leave it for evaluation. It's rare for me to be dissatisfied. but unfortunately it was bad 🤔

A wonderful meal in a great atmosphere for a birthday treat

Really nice swanky clean restaurant with a lovely chilled atmosphere, the service was brilliant, the waiters were exceptionally polite and the cocktails/drinks menus were amazing but sadly the food was a level par and didn’t really have a wow factor which sadly was the only disappointing part of the evening for me & my partner. Hence only 4 stars because everything else was truly exceptional

Too noisy, service and food average. Had to keep asking for cutlery. No finger bowls with prawns. Couldn't hold conversation due to noise level.

Friendly staff, amazing food and the atmosphere was lovely! And the drinks are to die for! Nothing too expensive, fairly priced, great for a date night, birthday or anniversaries.

Nice ambience, good food served tastefully. Slightly expensive but worth it. Has it's own car park. Decent wine list. A good place for a relaxed Italian meal with family or friends.

This is probably our favourite Italian restaurant. The food is excellent, staff attentive and ambience great. I have no doubts about recommending this restaurant and will be visiting again in two weeks for my wife's coming birthday.

We took our grand daughter for dinner and had pasta dishes and seabass which were all cooked perfectly. We always enjoy this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone. They made us feel welcome and the staff are very attentive. We look forward to having dinner here again very soon.

Would not be a visit to Doncaster to see family without a visit here. Always a warm welcome and great value. Very varied menu and the food is simply gorgeous, beautifully served, hot and generous portions.Well worth the two hundred mile journey......we will be back. Thankyou to everyone there.

We have previously visited a couple of years ago some of our party liked it others didn’t,thought we’d try it again for my cousins birthday,All the food was extremely salty,My mums lasagne was horrible tasted like cinnamon,I had cannelloni which said mince&spinach,I cannot describe what was in side the pasta it was like grey/green mush I queried this&was told it was mince&spinach,no sign of mince at all,I was offered a drink in its place as I didn’t want another meal.Would we go for a 3rd time….absolutely not,we’ve to some amazing Italian restaurants&this certainly isn’t one of them.

We liked the look of this place when we have driven past, this time we called in for a family birthday celebration. Excellent food and service every time whether we come in to eat or use their takeaway next door. Pizzas, steaks and salads all excellent. I’ve even had pasta as a takeaway before and still great! 10/10 for me.

We'd booked ahead and on entering we were told, in no uncertain terms, it's busier than we expected, we close at 9 and there's only one chef so there'll be a wait. We were then curtly waved to a table. As it was only 7.20pm we didn't mind too much. On deciding what to eat we asked the waitress to take the order to which we were told "There's a wait". What?? To take the order. Errr, yeah, ok. Pass. Drinks arrived, followed by starters / appetisers, which came out slowly, one then a few minutes later another 2 followed eventually by the 4th. I asked for the wine list, gave my choice and was told "We don't have that", 2nd, 3rd and 4th choice "We don't have" Would you care to tell me what you DO have?? The waitress then went to another table, started taking their order and half way through walked away to greet 2 new arrivals (Who promptly left, Obviously didn't want to serve them) then returned to the rest of their order. 2 of our mains arrived so we waited for the other 2. One arrived, followed by another tables 2 meals, followed by a different tables meal (We're still waiting). EVENTUALLY the 4th meal came. It was blatantly obvious the waitress didn't want to work that evening but was obviously willing to be paid by the remarks made when delivering the 4th meal, "Huh, I can't believe how busy we are, I wanted a quiet night and to close early" NOT the kind of thing anyone in hospitality should be really saying to paying guests. The food wasn't too bad but trying to find a decent restaurant in Doncaster of late has become an ever increasing mountainous trek. What should have been an enjoyable evening was ruined by disgraceful service with proffered unwarranted remarks. Try and find a restaurant where service is not an issue.

Great food. The staff were superb. The whole experience, from booking over the phone, being greeted on arrival and exit was just first rate.

This is a very nice restaurant, the first timeni have been, the food was very good, I had a steak and it was cooked just how I asked, the staff were very friendly, it was alittle on the cool side, and the corridor to the toilet was cold, but I'm only saying this as an observation, the toilets were also clean and there was Covid hand gel on entry to use.all in all a very good experience and we would go again as a family. 👍

Visited tonight with some friends.. from arriving the starters took 1hour 15 and were nice. The mains arrived two hours after we arrived, and some were awful. The carbonara was totally tasteless and the lamb shark was not trimmed and covered in chewy fat. We complained about the carbonara and this was taken off the bill- a bit disappointed we were not offered an alternative after waiting 2 hours for it. We will not be returning to collesseo unfortunately as the service was slow and the food was not the best.Food is however good value for money.

Brilliant food, the pasta dishes were amazing, as were the pizzas, the service staff were so friendly, we visited the Monday before Christmas and we’re the first people there, however the atmosphere built up quickly which was great, once again I cannot thank the waiters and waitresses enough for their brilliant service we will be returning soon ☺️

Food was delicious and reasonably priced but the lady who waited on us was really rude and avoided our table on purpose. We asked for the dessert menu only to be told it would take ages because they were too busy. She then proceeded to throw the menus at us telling us pretty much everything was sold out. She never returned to our table and we waited 40 minutes for the bill until we finally got up and had to ask another server to get the bill so we could finally leave. We received a sarcastic and rude 'bye' from the server as we left. Will not be returning and the owner should train the staff to be more hospitable rather than hostile

Beginning with the customer service: every waiter and waitress attended to us were very polite, however, some of them may lack some fluency in English as when I asked for small plates, I was given spoons instead. Secondly, the food overall was slightly better than mediocre as my steak was slightly over cooked and my partner’s duck lacked a bit of flavouring, maybe it could’ve done with it being marinated longer beforehand. However, they had good cocktails. I can’t say I’d recommend this place based off one visit, but if you’re in the area, you should pay a visit anyway as they have a great atmosphere and usually quite busy.

three of us had dinner, all Italians, and as an Italian I can say that unfortunately the food has nothing to do with Italian cuisine, only the name.

Was to go to a famous buffet but was chocker and seemed a bit of a mare- so decided to go elsewhere and glad we did.Warmly greeted by friendly and professional staff. Quickly shown to our table and drinks order taken in 5 minutes,Orders taken for food and accommodating for a fussy eater in a nice manner, the food all freshly cooked took over 1/2 hour to arrive. There was a variation of pizza, pasta, plain chicken and chicken with sauce. Everyone was happy with the food and its quality-job done!An Amaretto coffee was only luke warm unfortunately - the tiramisu good and chocolate fudge cake- OK, It was a Weds night and not very busy - overall a good experience & £92 for 4 including 2 beers and 6 diet cokes,

The food is fantastic and the staff are so friendly. We had a large booking in August to celebrate with family who we were unable to see at Christmas and the staff surprised us with Christmas crackers.
