The best restaurants serving Italian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

What a great little find, we were very lucky to get a table without a reservation, popular little place. We had some sharing breads oil/balsamic dip, carbonara and chicken wings with chips/salad. All delicious and we finished off with some gelato to take away.

Trabajé en Poco durante un par de meses en la tienda Headingley y disfruté de mi tiempo trabajando allí. La comida es excelente, hecha fresca por chefs que se preocupan por la comida que están haciendo. Hay una gran selección de postres y cosas saladas, cambiando semanalmente, lo cual es genial si quieres variedad en lo que estás recibiendo. Mis favoritos fueron los Calzones y los Arancini (¡tanto los sabores como las opciones vegetarianas son geniales!). Los desiertos son deliciosos y muy variados, así que hay mucho para elegir. La crema fresca Bomboloni, o pistacho Aragastina o Cannoli son mis favoritas. Pero todo es delicioso y vale la pena probarlo. Trabajar allí fue bueno. Detrás de escena hay mucho que hacer de gente trabajadora que quiere traer una porción de la cultura alimentaria siciliana a Leeds. Bruno, gerente de la sucursal de Headingley, es un tipo maravilloso que se preocupa profundamente por su herencia siciliana y proporciona a los demás una experiencia gastronómica que refleja la alegría y el deleite de la cultura gastronómica que experimentó al crecer en Italia. Es un gran tipo que siempre está abierto a hablar de los productos que se ofrecen y cualquier relacionado con la cultura italiana, haciéndolo con gran pasión. Tried to book a table on the website twice, me and my mum both rang and no one answered so we left a message for them to call us back saying our phone numbers but we never got a call back, disgusting service.

Amici in my opinion is second to none. This is how a restaurant should be it is beautiful and we where spoiled for choice with the menu and overall experience. The high quality of service and meals where just outstanding. Overall we where more than happy and would be happy to return. Outstanding restaurant thanks to the people there

We've lived in Wakefield for 17 years and finally got round to visiting Prego for the first time. I don't know why it took so long, but safe to say we will be back soon. We only had a pizza each (which were excellent), but we will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. Great food and great service.

A small, stylish and welcoming family run restaurant, I was so glad we went to The Vine today. The open kitchen gave off mouthwatering smells as we entered and there were some great two or three course menus. We went with the a la carte menu. I got mussels as a starter and honestly they are the best I have had in ages. They altered the calzone recipe so we could have calzone Kiev and it was delicious. We had another pizza, fries and a side salad. Great value with a pizza costing £4 less than Pizza Express. Open for twelve years, they deserve continued success. My new favourite place.

Admittedly it was a Sunday evening around 8pm and there was one other couple in the restaurant hence a low score for atmosphere. Food was quick, starter and main done and dusted in 45mins. Too quick for my liking. Food was OK. Bread basket and the bread was dry. Starter was garlic bread. Mains Lasagne and Calzone. So yes we chose Basic food. Husband enjoyed his Calzone, my lasagne was OK. Including wine and service charge bill was £80.00. We've been four times in 10 years and for us that's enough, won't go again.

Great service, tasty food, however the price was high. And it is very cramped.

A lovely meal last night. The lamb special was so tender and delicious. The calzone was also incredible. Would highly recommend!!!

Just walked in and luckily got a table nice little place,waitress was really nice and efficient the steak I had was one of the best I've ever had absolutely beautiful as was the starter prices are decent especially if the good is that good.

Valentines Evening at Ripon. I forgot to order a meal where we stayed .. and it was packed out. So we had a wander looking for a meal. Found the restaurant. Had a great meal Penne Pollen Pasta. And a pudding after ( you have too!! ) Fantastic meal. 2 pints of Italian beer. And the wife's company. Made my evening Made the pasta since. ( Wife requested it ) Chef at Hot Lava did it better. ( It always tastes better cooked for you.) And Tiramisu made to order. A brilliant meal in a lovely place.

First visit , tried the homemade lasagna which was really good, had an oat latte ( tasted a bit weak,but it might be just personal preference) . Had the soup of the day which i enjoyed the most ( it was a tomato and red pepper soup) . Staff was friendly and helpful I have been looked after.
