Karamel in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Name gives the feel of a Desserts space but its lunch / meal menu are outstanding! I have been coming here for years and I have NEVER had a bad experience, attending at least once a week. Friends and family have joined us and have all become regular customers. From paninis, wraps, drinks and desserts - everything on the menu is good. Customer Service is excellent, and the place itself is friendly, open, clean and tidy!

went today with my nana, mum, brother and my 6 year old daughter. me nana and mum had the deluxe chicken burger and bought fries as extra, my daughter had kids chicken nuggets and chips and my brother had turkey and maple syrup burger and chips as extra … i just have to say the portion sizes are fab and they were absolutely delicious. we really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely and welcoming .

Our first time coming here, we had a cappuccino which was very tasty, creamy and thick. We got the cheese and mushroom omelette and sausage omelette and they was absolutely delicious, great portion size and definitely worth the money! Staff was very welcoming and food and drink came out quickly, no waiting around. Would 100% come again!!

It’s one of my fav places where I go frequently, I like the food and environment. The staff is also good except 1 lady who is always rude and refuse to give you small box to pack your food . Also she told me to step away from the counter very rudely the other day when I asked her for the box . She’s ridiculous. I always saw her in the mornings . Over all its Good experience.

The day before, we knew we could have breakfast together, and I knew where I wanted to take them. Just a year ago, while visiting Hull for a couple of days, I had stumbled upon a pretty little gem in the heart of the busiest zone. Noplace else was open in the dead of night. And I was hungry. Ever since that visit, I had been telling myself: next time, I will go there again. And I did, but this time with company. Afraid that with the months between my two visits, Karamel would have changed, I felt dread creeping onto me after asking my friend and her family to breakfast there. Should I have hyped them up as much? The answer is: absolutely. All orders were delivered quickly, with flavourful meals spread over the table. Kids happy, adults even happier. Unshaken by the pouring rain outside, we enjoyed our meals and desserts with the joy of someone going home and getting their fill of a tasty meal after a long day at the office. And to be fair, we had a pretty busy couple of days. Thank you, Karamel, for not disappoiting the happy me from about a year ago. Thank you for not letting me down. Service was excellent, place was clean, food was delicious. 100% would come back again, and again.... and again! P.s.: Vegan and vegetarian friendly, I am a vegetarian, my friend and children can eat everything. We had a bunch of dishes from the menu, and everyone was more than pleased.

The food and dessert here is unbelievable. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a decent meal with friends, families and/or partners 🔥

What can I say. This place is fabulous. Went with my grandson (who is a picky eater) ordered burgers and they were amazing. My grandson loved his! As did I. The staff were great with him, letting him choose extras and taking away things he didn’t want. The place was spotless. The service 5*. Will definitely be returning. The gelato ice cream was the best I have ever tasted.

I come here regularly and the food is great for a very reasonable price. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in hull for deserts except here and caffe g, as it’s the only place i’ve found that home make their own waffles, crepes and ice cream etc. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Lovely place for lunch or even dinner as i know the burgers are very popular!!

I recently visited Karamel while on my walks in Hull centre. Lovely decoration from the inside and out. The lovely young lads working there are so polite and helpful. Overall service was amazing. The coffee here is the best I have tried which the lady working their informed me that it is their own roast and created by themselves. The chicken panini was to die for and finished off with one of their homemade donuts. Will certainly be going here every time I am in City Centre.

The food at karamel was amazing along with the superb service the lady I was served by was very polite and kind, we had deserts after and they lived up to the hype.

I don't even know where to begin here. Self service at the bar. Took over 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Then it was only the cold drinks. Hot drinks arrived after food arrived. Food was something else. My husband order a full English....please see my photo...what on earth? I've never seen anything like, it was an embarrassment. Toastie was acceptable but nothing like the photos on the menu and I can assure you a sliced cherry tomato is certainly not 'sundried tomatos' these are something completely different. The kids had waffles, they arrived another 10 minutes after food arrived. The whole experience was poor. Staff need to sort their speed and their customer service and that full English quite frankly needs removing from the menu!

Amazing food, reasonable prices, great customer service... mixed variety of food.. a lot of choice to choose from....
